Hakyoku’s adventure through that dungeon had allowed the young man to become stronger than he was. He felt going through the surprise attacks and the darkness within that mansion, his sensory had strengthened than how it was in the past. He was indeed a man who wanted to become stronger, so he could get a thrill of more battles that were ahead of him. While on his journey he noticed that there was a page in his grimoire that had appeared. He was surprised that a new spell had come forth, but right now it was time to train and master this spell.
The noble was still around Hapshass and decided before he moved on he would do something about it. His grimoire would open up and he would look into the page that was in front of him. It seemed to have been a sort of transformation spell, and looking closely to it he could see that this would allow him to grow wings on his back. This was interesting and without hesitating the young man started pouring mana onto himself as he was visualizing the spell itself. He thought about how he did this with all of his spells and when he tried to change things on his body he imagined wings sprouting from his shoulder blades. He could feel it working as there was change happening, but when it was done he could feel something on his back.
When he tried to flap his wings he could feel how small they were and when he tried to flap them as hard as he could, he wasn’t be lifted into the air. This made him wondered what he had done wrong, or if he didn’t put enough mana into the spell he was casting. The noble had dispersed the spell as he figured that it was best to try again. Hakyoku would activate the spell once again, and he would look upon the grimoire as he had to do better with his control and his mana usage. While going at it again he could feel the wings appearing again, and he was using much more mana than he did last time. It was a good start and he could feel the shift on his back happening as the wings were growing.
When he was done he would try to look at his back the best he could and he could see that there were indeed wings on his back, but not in the length that was seen within his grimoire. Still, he figured he would give it a try and he would start flapping his wings again. This time it would allow him to lift off slightly into the air, but the wings itself couldn’t do much for him as they were too weak. The Shēngxiào had landed on his feet as he sighed with disappointment as he knew that he could do better. His mana would disperse the spell as it was no longer being used to contain the spell. He would breathe heavily as he could tell that he had used a lot of his mana, but it wasn’t enough.
He had to push himself more as it would be the only way to get himself to succeed with this spell. His grimoire stood in the air floating as he slouching. The mana moving around him would go towards his back as he was gathering it all on his back to see if he could master the spell. Hakyoku would cast the spell as it would start to form within the area of his shoulder blades again. The feather of wings coming to show as the wings were becoming longer and longer. It was indeed doing exactly what it needed to do and soon enough the growth for the wings would stop.
He was able to make the wings, but would he be able to fly with them now. The beast mage would start to flap his wings as he could feel them easily propelling him off the ground, unlike last time. He was excited about this as he could see the ground below him. When he decided to move a bit higher something happened and his wings would disappear from his back, which would cause the young man to fall to the ground. If it weren’t because he hadn’t trained himself in martial arts he would have gotten hurt, but he would roll on the ground as soon as he landed, so he didn’t feel the impact as he would.
He would sigh with relief as he didn’t expect that to happen, but he had lost the concentration of his spell. Hakyoku knew that he couldn’t allow anything to get in his way as he performed his spell. The young man would activate his spell once more and at the same time he would also notice that he had gotten taller again, which was due to the fact this man was nearly depleted from all the times he had tired. He would relax and he would gather his mana once again. The appearance of his wings once again manifesting on his back without a problem. The lengths of his wings were correct as he could feel them naturally on his back. He would be able to flap them again as he kept his concentration as he learned from last time what happened.
When his body had lifted from the ground he would try and move around the area using his wings. It would push him forward as it was interesting how he was moving around in the air. Hakyoku knew he needed more time to practice with his spell before he could truly get used to moving in the air. The young mage would take a break for a bit. When he was ready of course he would continue on with his training trying to make sure that when he used the spell it would be natural for him to use. He was ready to press forward in his adventure though with his new spell.
