Bengal sat on the fountain in the center of Kikka, waiting for the possible arrival of a young woman he'd recently met. She'd had ambitions to join the Magic Knights, but needed experience. Lilliana was a curious young lady, she'd piqued his interest due to her surprising intellect and ambition compared to most he'd met thus far. It had felt like such sparks had been crushed by despair after the shattering. It was refreshing to see such an honest desire to improve.
Interlacing his fingers he shifted his gaze upward. There was the job to handle with Rolkhim as well. Soon he'd be heading off to deal with one for June, too. So much to do. A laugh passed by his lips before he slowly straightened. Then blinked as he felt a familiar ki enter his range. A smile spread across his lips as he dusted off his pants, before hauling himself to his feet. Dusting the snow that had gathered on his shoulders before tilting his head in the direction of Lilliana. The bright pink hair made her difficult to miss.
"Glad I managed to persuade you with my unbridled charm," he joked with a grin, lifting a hand up in greeting toward the pinkette while his other hand tucked into his thick leather jacket's pocket. The white fur lining it matching the same look he'd had when they'd met, though he was in a different set of clothing underneath. The thick grey pants tucked into heavy winter boots and thick wool undershirt made it clear he was intending to be outdoors for longer periods of time today.
"I got us a simple job. Figured it was better than dragging you into a Dungeon day one. Lets us talk a bit first." He glanced at the heavy snow coating the area. It was bad here too, but nothing compared to the reports he was getting about the city of rogues. Seemed that dungeon spawning had come with its own set of problems.

Lilliana inhaled a deep breath of the frosty air as she stepped out of back door of the bakery into the alley between the commercial and residential buildings within the streets of Kikka. Glad to be free of her morning commitments as she began to stride quickly towards the town's central fountain. When she finally arrived, her eyes would lock onto the tall, muscular man she was looking for, before feeling a small sense of relief. She hadn't realised it until now, but it seemed she had been ever so slightly tense and anxious that he had lied about waiting for her. A small, genuine smile reached her face as she caught her breath after powerwalking through the chilly, but crowded township.
She'd stuff her gloved covered hands into the pockets of her faded black jacket, she still wore her usual dress, but with thicker than usual stockings to keep her legs warm. To most she would probably appear cold in such weather, but she had never really grown up with excessive luxuries like indoor heating as a child, her body growing used to cooler temperatures than most. Still, she wasn't stupid enough to not rug up warmly now she could afford it.
"Awe, and here I was getting all my hopes up that I'd get the chance to risk my life fighting some overpowered dungeon creatures." She'd exaggerate with a sigh before returning to her usual serious self, "So what kind of job and do I get paid?" she asked directly, not bothering to beat around the bush. While she wasn't against trading her time and effort for experience and nothing more, she wasn't about to say no to getting some cash as well. That and she simply wanted to know what to expect while 'training' with this man.

Bengal chuckled at the small joke that she offered, before going right to business. Amused, he would finish dusting himself off before glancing her over once. Curvy and cute, but that was beside the point. She was wearing decent protection against the cold, it should offer her a bit of room to work for the job. Grunting, seemingly satisfied with this he would shift his gaze back up to her eyes to answer her properly.
"Of course you'll get paid. If you do work, you earn coin from it. I'm not some scum that tries to take their juniors credit." Grinning a bit, he'd tease her again lightly. "You're welcome to have my share too for a kiss," amused he would lift his hands up and stretch the long limbs above his head.
"But, to answer your first question," he nodded his head forward, a silent statement of the direction they were going as he would begin to walk. Though not appearing in any rush. That would be solved in a moment, anyway. A bit of walking to explain now wasn't going to hurt anything.
"Ever been to Aries Garse? Kinda shady, lots of gangs and such?" He shifted his gaze back down to her as they walked. "There's alot of normal people there too, and alot of the houses are snowed in tight. People are getting frostbite, few kids got trapped and had to be rescued. It's getting rough so they put out some feelers for help to start clearing out the snow and ice covering the houses en-masse." He shifted his gaze forward once more.
"It'll be good for you to practice refined control of your magic, removing the snow without harming the buildings or people. Locating those still alive. Experience in rescue to learn how to prioritize what, reactions, all kinds of things. Rescue jobs are some of the most useful for gaining skill without risking your life in combat. Can still be stressful for rookies since there are lives of others in your hands too, though." He shifted his gaze back down toward her. "Think you're up for it?"
It was a fair distance away. But he had a solution to that issue. He simply didn't want to go through with it until she clarified her agreement to their little job here.

Bengal's flirtatious teasing caught Lilliana off guard, her inexperience and nervousness as she seriously considered kissing him for more money shown blatantly on her face. She wasn't entirely above using her womanly charms but there was a huge difference between joking about it and actually physically doing it. Her finger's raised to her lips unconsciously as her lilac eyes darted to avoid contact with his as he continued to explain they'd be heading to Aries Garse. It wasn't a place she'd been to before, she had rarely left the common region, as it was dangerous to venture too far both into the forsaken and noble regions, albeit for different reasons. Despite her best efforts, her mind still continued to linger on his teasing words, feeling the need to respond to them in an attempt to show it didn't affect her, despite it clearly doing just that.
"O-offering your money for the littlest bit of affection, I didn't realise you were so desperate. Here I thought with your charms you'd have no problem making women pay for your time instead." She'd attempt to tease back, already regretting her choice as her nerves were more than evident in her voice as well as her body language. She'd quickly clear her throat in attempt to recover from her terrible choice of words.
"As for the place, I can't say I have been, but I have heard stories." Even as she changed the subject back to the location, she found it difficult to look in his direction, her eyes occasionally flickering back to his only to dart away again as she fidgeted with her own fingers. "I'm sure as you say, not everyone there is terrible. I don't know how well my bubble magic will hold out against this cold, but I'll do my best." She'd smile weakly, as it occurred to her that it would take them a fair chunk of time to travel, making her wonder just how long they'd be gone for. It wouldn't be too much of an issue if she missed one day of work, but more than that without warning and her boss would give her an earful.

The reaction was... surprisingly adorable and innocent. Her eyes flickering to him, and then away. The disturbances in her ki that felt flustered and shy. The slight flush of her cheeks and fiddling of her fingers. All a pleasant surprise he hadn't anticipated at all when he'd teased her a bit. To make matters even more interesting she didn't shy from the conversation but instead stuttered her way through it with an attempt at being coy, joking, and instead appeared to retreat away from her own joke.
Which made her seem even more innocent. A deep rumbling laugh filled Bengal's chest at her words, head tilting to the side as he glanced toward her with a smirk. "I don't know about my charms, but you'd have to ask my wives if its worth paying for I suppose," he leaned down. Pupil's dilating slightly as his lip twitched upward in amusement. "I wouldn't mind giving you a sample, though." The words were purred smugly, amused by her sudden uncertain flirtation. Though he pulled back just slightly. "I'll introduce you. I'm sure they'd be interested as well." June had discovered that she liked the same sex quite a bit. Especially when it came to the naive and innocent.
Ironic with how submissive she was despite that. Straightening a bit he continued on their walk while she explained that her bubble magic may struggle in the cold, but she was open to the idea. That was good.
"If June was here she'd fly us more comfortably, but," his shoulders lifted, before the grimoire at his side floated from its holster opposite the katana crafted from a fused spinal cord. The book itself opening, crafted from an odd-looking leather with bone plates. The runes glowing, revealing a swirling torrent of pages that were flipped past as static electricity began to crackle in the air. White fur beginning to spread across Bengal's hands and feet, up his arms and gathering at his shoulders.
"For now, I'll have to fly us I suppose," he smirked, glancing down at her as he offered her a clawed hand. "That is if you don't mind being carried and protected by a brute like me?" His tone was teasing once more as the fur seemed to rapidly multiply, before bursting outward. Forming into two massive white wings that beat once, scattering the snow away from them both. Large, bat-like covered in soft silver fur. The peaks ending in deadly claws as he spread the wings wide, obviously intending to scoop her up with her approval to fly them to their location.

Lilliana was definitely regretting not choosing her words more carefully, but she did find his response intriguing. He mentioned 'wives', not one but plural, which made her wonder just what kind of life he lead, it was definitely different to the general populace of the country. Perhaps once they were done with the job she'd inquire more about his personal life and get to know him better, but for now they had to actually get to their destination. It seemed he had a plan at least.
Her eyes would glimmer with curiosity at his grimoire, it was no ordinary looking book as it flipped through its pages as she felt the man's mana course through his body and emerge from his shoulders in the form of bat-shaped furred wings whilst the rest of his appearance changed somewhat as well giving him a much more beastly image. It was the first time she'd seen transformation magic used quite like this, and while there was a small portion of fear from seeing his magic in use, she was more intrigued than anything.
"Oh, ah, being carried is fine." She'd blush eyes darting away once more. This was going to be another first for her, if nothing else he was certainly giving her a lot of new and unique experiences. "I don't think I'd call you a brute though." She'd mutter quietly under her breath, barely audible as she grew nervous while awaiting him to carry her through the sky.

Bengal released a low rumble of laughter as Lilliana reacted in such an amusing way. Flustered and cute. Bemused he would offer a playful smirk. "What falling for my lack-of-charms already?" he inquired teasingly before the large man leaned down. Scooping her up effortlessly with one arm underneath her legs, and the other behind her back. Supporting the tiny woman without any issue. He could do it with one arm, probably.
"I'll remember that, though. Not a brute, huh. A rare outlook for someone dealing with a Ryuutei." Musing this, Bengal would make sure to let her adjust as necessary to feel comfortable before he smirked. "How soft." He stated simply as his hands touched her thighs, before his wings burst from his back and snapped once. "Make sure you tuck your face into my chest. The speed may hurt your eyes," he murmured simply, before it began.
The burst of physical energy and magic sending them blasting into the air, suddenly moving at a far faster pace than walking as they shot over buildings and landscape. Another beat of his wings and static electricity suddenly engulfed him. Their speed doubling. Tripling. Suddenly the wind whipped and howled around them as Bengal propelled them faster than any horse or other animal could carry them. Even the fastest spells wouldn't be able to keep up with him once he got warmed up.
With every beat his speed increased, despite this he kept her face and clothing shielded as best he could use his mana skin and arms. Blocking and protecting her while they shot across the landscape high in the sky. "First time flying?" Bengal rumbled, eyes still forward but glancing down at her tucked against him as they flew.
