The death of Frost had been amusing more than threatening or saddening. The man was pathetic in many ways within Bengal's eyes, though interesting. The idea of a Dungeon Monster acquiring individual thought and sapience, even emotion, was intriguing. It meant that there were real possibilities with the Dungeon Heart that he'd acquired from Krampus' dungeon. But, such thoughts were for future issues. Now, there was another threat that had raised its head. The scent of coal on the air was enough to make it clear whom they were now dealing with.
The clouds had begun to swirl in the distance, and now Bengal was dashing from one building to the next. Not bothering with his magic as June continued to fly alongside him using her river step while he leaped from one building to the next as if a beast through trees. The smell grew more potent, the clouds beginning to rapidly funnel downward as if a tornado was to form. But instead a humanoid shape, massive and rotund began to crawl from the clouds.
His nose wrinkled. He knew the scent all too well of coal and miasma, but there was something different now. Snow and ice began to crackle around the skeletal form of coal that began to gather flesh from the clouds. Skidding to a halt atop a building, Bengal examined the body that had started to form. Falling to sit on his haunches he rested his chin in his palm.
"So he's acquired magic from Frost, huh? Not just coal, now..." Bengal mused aloud, watching as the coal hardened with black ice. The pale blue-tinged flesh forming and wrapping into the rotund stomach, rippling muscle adorning abnormally long limbs ending in deadly long claws. Boney fingers protruding awkwardly as long ears ending in points, warts, and sharp features began to solidify from the clouds and ice. A chuckle passed his lips.
"No human skeleton this time, hm? You've become a complete monster of coal and ice," Bengal mused simply to the forming monster. He could leap down, and crush it with a few blows, but where was the fun in that? No, instead he rubbed the back of his neck. Frost had been a decent warmup. He felt good. A blizzard was beginning to pick up around Krampus and so his gaze shifted back toward his lover.
"Flower, can you protect the city for me? I'm curious how strong I can get without magic, and Frost didn't cut it," Bengal's gaze shifted down toward the towering still-forming Krampus. "Maybe our old friend will give us some more entertainment before I turn him into a nice weapon for you too?" Grinning in amusement, he tossed Frost's spine to the side before he began to casually remove his ring from his finger. Pocketing it as he placed his own long katana next to the spine, starting to shrug out of his outfit while the eyes began to form in Krampus' skull.
No reason to cheat and use magic equipment after all. That would defeat the purpose of all this.

Once they reached their destination, June held a handkerchief against her nose to filter out the stink of coal and smoke in the air. Her face twisted in disgust at the grotesque sight of Krampus taking form before them. Somehow, the dungeon monster had become even more vile than before. Despite knowing it was her duty to face Krampus, she was rather glad Bengal wanted to fight him up close. Staying as far away from that stench as possible suited June just fine. Even after all this time being around Bengal and exposure to Ryuutei sensibilities, the short woman was still a prissy noble in many ways. She didn't like to get her hands dirty.
"It is a shame he doesn't have another spine for you to take, Tori," the Silver Eagle mused, "I'll stay back and protect the town. If you wish to get closer to that thing, that's fine. Just make sure you bathe before you hug me next. Krampus' stink is terrible."
June coughed a few times, darkened puffs of air coming out of her mouth.
"On second thought, it might not matter. His vile stench is far reaching," the noblewoman grumbled. She would have to burn her clothes after this.
"Make him pay for ruining my coat," she requested before closing her eyes to focus.
Disgusting or no, there was a mission to be done. A blue glow emanated from the woman's silvery hair as it began to float around her head as though she were under water. A ring of large orbs of water formed around the three of them, closing them in. The large Protection Orbs surrounded buildings as well as cut off any route of escape Krampus might try to take.
By the time she was finished, a bit of sweat had formed on June's forehead despite the cold. Casting five spells at once was a bit of a challenge, but maintaining them while Bengal had his fun would be relatively simple. The noblewoman wiped her forehead with her handkerchief before settling in to watch the fight from within one of the orbs. Fortunately, her Protection Orbs muted the scent of Krampus' coal and miasma.
"Perhaps you can take his skull as a prize this time," June suggested. "It won't make a good weapon, but I could use a new paperweight. A limb might serve as a decent weapon. Perhaps his body could be refashioned into armor," she pondered aloud.
Right about then, Krampus' eyes finished forming.
Harsh, icy winds began to pick up as a small, localized snow storm started to form around Krampus. Those dark, sunken coal colored eyes burned with rage and hatred. The anger of someone who had been humiliated completely and repeatedly.
Description: An orb formed of condensed water particles surrounds June and/or her allies. The orb is large and a slightly opaque shade of light blue. The Protection Orb has [Senior] health. After one post, anyone inside the shield begins is healed of injuries up to [Senior] level. This is reduced by one rank per person healed. Allies inside the shield regenerate [15 Mana] per post. Those that physically attack this shield suffer [Intermediate] damage from water being forced into their lungs through their mouth and nose.

Bengal reached up, carefully removing the clasps on his jacket and tossing it aside idly while listening to the words of his love. A rumble filling his chest once more at the comments, if nothing else, June knew how to infuriate her opponent. That much was proven by their last little interaction.
"Perhaps a set of armor using his bones," Bengal mused in return, "Though we'll have to use magic to treat his stink." His sensitive nose had to agree with June's assessment. Krampus' scent was rank with coal and smoke, it was a truly unpleasant experience to anyone with normal senses, nearly unbearable for those like him and June. Her own delicate nose, or his own that was sharp to the point of being near animalistic.
As the jacket fell, June suddenly formed a series of spells that made him blink in surprise. His lover's progress was absolutely astounding. The amount of raw magical control had begun to rival his own at this point, and considering that was one of his specialties, that was truly impressive. His lip twitched upward, pride in his fiance filling him before his gaze turned toward the rising smog that clouded the air around the town. Grunting, he stepped forward toward the edge of the building.
Cold, burning coal eyes stared up at him in pure rage. A chuckle filled his chest.
"As ironic as it'd be to take your head with your own spine," he began idly, causing the snow to burst upward. Rising in a massive, swirling barrier. That was new, hm. Though it wouldn't stop him in the slightest. "--Relying on your power to kill you again is a bit of a turn-off." These words caused his lips to curl upward in a feral grin, before his muscles bulged as they clenched. Krampus lacked physical reinforcement magic that had allowed Frost to keep up with him to a degree, no, the vile man had always been more of a turtle.
Powerful physically and with great endurance, powerful magic, but no real speed. With his ki... he wouldn't even need June to distract him. Pupil's dilated, Bengal dug his heels into the edge of the grounds before launching forward. Using raw physical power that cracked the building beneath him before Bengal was sent rocketing toward Krampus with narrowed eyes. He was curious how strong that barrier of magic really was.
Krampus stepped back, surprised at the intense speed the man suddenly released. Bengal blurring forward before his fist smashed into the barrier, sending shards of ice and snow in all directions... to no effect or true damage. In the end, no powerful how one was physically, without magic it could never beat magic. A deep laugh rumbled out of Bengal's chest at this, before his feet touched down on the ground. Ducking to the side as a barrage of high-speed snowballs shot out of the cover, flying toward him and flickering past his body to smash into the walls around him.
Not a one touched him. Straightening Bengal launched back a few steps, holding his chin in thought. If this was a normal opponent, he could simply out-last Krampus. Perhaps that was an idea. Chuckling, he didn't bother activating his magic. Instead lifting both hands up and making the 'come on' motion.
"Let's see how long you can keep that barrage of spells up with what mana you have, fatass," he stated with a feral smirk.
Assuming that Krampy has 250 Mana, which considering his stamina is extremely generous. I'm assuming as well that he has the ability to regen in combat regardless of casting or not even though it's not listed, just because he's a "Mana Beast" kinda thing, at Senior rank, this gives him +15/30 mana regen.
Activating a Senior barrier for 30 Mana, then using another Senior spell for another 30.

June gathered up her husband-to-be's discarded clothing and weaponry before setting them in a neat pile, well within the defensive spells she had set up. It would have been a shame for something to get blown away from the clash between Bengal and Krampus. Losing or looking for any of his items was an irritation that she wanted to avoid. Plus, Bengal's jacket was warm. June wrapped it around herself and inhaled the scent of her lover. Much more pleasant than the odor emanating from Krampus' new and improved form. Nestled within the large garment, the noblewoman resembled a child trying on adult clothing. She was all but swimming in Bengal's jacket.
The Magic Knight's brows rose as Bengal's punches did nothing to the storm furiously swirling around the blue-skinned monster in the middle. That was to be expected since her love wasn't using his magic. June did, however, groan under her breath at her fiancé's declaration. If he was going to simply wear the man down, they would be sitting here for quite a while. June pondered what she would do while she waited for her love to have his fun. She could have summoned a golem to assist, but it was doubtful that Bengal wanted any help. He liked to do things on his own and push his power to the limit. The bigger the challenge the more excited her fiancé got.
Krampus, however, was not content to let June sit the fight out unbothred. The ice and coal monster lobbed several snow balls her way.
The Silver Eagle watched, unenthused, as the balls of snow slammed into her defenses and crumbled against the Protection Orb.
"That attack could be considered a pathetic out of ten," June called out to the ghastly dungeon boss.
There was no real need for her to needle Krampus while Bengal got up to speed this time, he was already warmed up from their fight with Mr. Frost. However, the urge to insult anyone or anything that irritated her was difficult to resist.
"If he keeps bothering me, I'm going to go after him Bengal," June informed the lightning mage, arms crossed over her chest.
The draping fabric of Bengal's coat around her small frame smothered any intimidating effect the noblewoman could have had. She looked comical with the sleeves of the black leather jacket hanging well past her hands. June pulled the jacket more tightly around herself and continued to watch the fight for now.
Briefly, she wondered whether there was any place with tea within range of her defensive spells. A hot drink would help ease her ruffled feathers and soothe her short temper. Dismissing such thoughts, June decided to study the fight to see if the changes Krampus underwent after escaping the dungeon were interesting. The snow storm was new, but the attacks weren't surprising. They lacked creativity. His speed was nowhere near that of Bengal's or Mr. Frost's. Krampus moved slowly enough that her golems would be able to kill him if that storm weren't in the way.

To say Bengal was amused by the sudden shift in focus as June began her teasing, laughter rumbling out of his chest as he watched the snowballs harmlessly bounce off her shields. A smirk forming across his lips as his fist drew back, before he suddenly shot forward in a blur. Faster. He had to keep engaging, keep fighting, keep warming up. His pupils dilated, fists smashing into the ice again and again as the blizzard's raw force shoved him back with each blow.
But instead of getting colder, his body was heating up. The grin spreading across his lips growing more feral, long fangs flashing in the light as each blow shook the ground around Krampus. Gaining more and more power with each movement as he laughed, the action causing the eyes to focus on him once more. A hiss of rage filling Krampus' chest at the mocking sound coming from the large man.
"C'mon Krampy, can't you at least try to dodge?! You can't even react fast enough to hit me, if I used even a bit of magic you'd already be dead! Do you want to be another tool for us to use already?!" Grinning as the mocking caused a vein to appear along the blue, pale temple Bengal flashed backward and away as another barrage of snowballs exploded from the boss's fingers. Suddenly the ice curved, Bengal blinking as his body spun mid-air. The snowballs flying around him, barely skimming his mana skin as a laugh suddenly passed between his lips.
He was learning! That was new. Usually they just kept throwing the same attacks and expecting it to eventually work. But proof once more that they were no longer simple Dungeon mobs became clear with this act. Krampus was now actively controling the snowballs, hurling them so they curved and shifted at the last minute to try and counteract his use of ki to dodge them. It made it alot more work to avoid every ball.
Even more impressive, they curved past Bengal to smash into the barriers near June. Targeting them both with the same attacks, if a bit less accurately against June to try and force her to burn more mana to keep the town under protection. What a clever bastard. Well, sort of.
"If you were smarter, you'd just run though!" Bengal laughed, launching forward through the storm of snowballs. Faster now, blurring even more as he nearly matched the snowballs actual speeds to slam an elbow into the barrier causing Krampus to skid backward. The force knocking him back, but no clear damage on the barrier just yet. Grinning wide he sidestepped another orb of snow.
"C'mon now Krampy! If you can't make me use magic soon it's your loss! I may let you live if you can manage that you know?" The words caused the blizzard to increase in speed. Rage glowing in the boss's eyes. Thin lips curling downward in a twisted snarl of anger. The mocking was quite effective. He'd have to thank June for showing him just how effective it could really be.

June continued to watch the battle from afar, still feeling impatient. She pulled Bengal's coat even tighter around her small frame to keep out the chill. Although it wasn't as cold as it had been when they faced Mr. Frost, the weather wasn't pleasant either. She pulled the hood up over her head. It slipped forward, the edge of the hood covering her eyes for a brief moment before the noblewoman pushed it back.
Bengal's taunting, smug grin, and constant dodging had the effect of narrowing Krampus' focus until the only thing on his mind was bludgeoning the large man and making him shut up. His teeth grit and more snowballs materialized, forming a ring around the lightning mage before flying at him at faster than the previous spells the coal and ice monster had used. Each ball moved like a guided missile, seeking to smash into his opponent's body and slow him down. It was akin to trying to swat a fly with boulders.
"Stop running like a coward and fight! You're like a fly, an irritant! You can't breach the storm you fool!" Krampus roared, black spittle flying past his teeth.
The localized snow storm surrounding the dungeon monster picked up pace, kicking up more snow. Large chunks of ice formed before they were dashed against one another by the violent winds, sending glittering shards of frozen water in every direction. Now, simply stepping within range of the raging winds would result in fine cuts and scrapes.
June remained quiet for the time being, debating whether to intervene to put an end to the fight. Mr. Frost had been fun to tease, but now her toes were cold and her fingers growing stiff. Even worse, the odor that seeped off of Krampus' putrid body grew with every minute that dragged past. The angrier the dungeon monster got, the thicker the stench. Even through her handkerchief and her Protection Orbs, the smell was starting to grow to the point that the Magic Knight could almost taste it.
Her eyes narrowed while she tried to track the movement of Krampus and Bengal as they danced around one another. June's mastery of ki was essentially nonexistent. When she reached out with her senses to try and track the two men battling, all she got was a generally fuzzy sort of feedback. The way a fly buzzing in a room alerted one to its presence without necessarily being visible or easy to track.
June's mind began to wander as the fight started losing her interest. Despite the high pace of the action, the overall bout was going to be drawn out.

Bengal laughed even louder as Krampus demanded he stop his movements, and in return moved even faster. Faster. His muscles burned with heat as his pupils dilated. A beast sighting its prey as he began to rapidly blur, then disappear. Smashing his heel into the first blast of the shield. Then another. Again and again, each blow bouncing Krampus backward from the force. Sending him scattering backward while Bengal's grin spread even further across his lips.
The barrier didn't take damage. Yet each blow pushed him further, and further backward. The ground under his barrier shook and cracked. The ground underneath Bengal's foot cracking with each blow as Krampus slammed both his long fingered hands together. Sweat breaking out, freezing instantly to his flesh. Fear beginning to shine through the dark coal eyes.
"You. Cannot. Break it!" Krampus hissed out as suddenly a tremendous amount of the snowballs rotated and compressed. No longer forming massive boulders of snow, but instead turning them into concentrated bullets that rotated rapidly around Krampus. Bengal blinked as his ki warned him, suddenly shifting to the side as the bullets shot past him. Fast faster than before, blasting into the ground and tearing the stone pathway apart before spraying past him.
Devastating the barriers of water and swirling mana that June had erected. Sending ripples across their surfaces, targeting their weakest points in the arches. Attacking both of them, learning as they fought, Bengal laughed outright.
"Why couldn't you of been like this before, Kramp?! It would of made things far more interesting!" With these words his fist smashed into the barrier again, sending Krampus skidding backward as the creature cursed in confusion. Bengal was simply growing faster and stronger by the moment. The barriers were too strong for him to break even when he focused and targeted them both at once. Rage was replaced with fear. His mana compressing the snow into a sudden swarm of bullets, Krampus lifted his arms up above his head.
"ENOUGH!" The creature snarled out, releasing a massive swarm of bullets that flew in every direction. Targeting buildings, the ground, Bengal, June, everything in the entire area was suddenly assaulted by a tidal wave of the snowballs that caused Bengal to blink and focus entirely on defending. The range of the attack was massive. No... not singular. Even with his garbage mana sense he could feel it, Krampus' mana was empty. The barrier around him was weakening, fading.
Fear had pushed him to use his mana in an all-out attack, desperate to try and push Bengal back, to create an opening, to escape, to win, it didn't matter. It had failed, and as the whirling barrier of wind and ice fell, so too did Krampus. The massive creature falling to a knee, gasping and sweating shards of ice that slid down his long nose. Vision blurring, body weak. Bengal grinned as he paused his dance as the last of the snow bullets stopped their assault on the area.
"Nice try. No good though. You're just too weak, Kramp. But still..." Bengal's fist clenched, walking forward as the muscles along his back and arm began to strain. Veins standing out as the ground underneath him cracked while he braced himself.
"Thanks for the warmup. Even if you weren't able to push me to my real peak, it was fun." Bengal's words caused Krampus to hiss in pain, anger, rage. Yet he had nothing left to give. Long teeth clenching tight he suddenly lashed out as his claws extended to rip into Bengal's chest--before the world turned upside down. Confusion spread over his face, before his vision went dark.
Meanwhile, Bengal's fist smashed directly into Krampus' head with such force that his neck instantly snapped backward, nearly breaking his spine and knocking the creature out. But Bengal's job was to kill him. Such was the way of things.
"At least this time I can eat you bastards," he stated bluntly, his hand grasping Krampus' head, and twisting. Effortlessly snapping the creature's neck with one hand before dropping the body with a dull thud as the ice and coal in the area began to slowly disperse. Grunting, he rubbed the back of his neck. A decent warmup but he could have gotten even faster. Stronger.
"Wonder when I'll get to actually see how fast I can really get," Bengal mused more to himself than anything, before his gaze shifted back toward where his love rested. Lifting a hand with a wide grin.
"You're cute in that, Flower," he commented simply in regards to her being wrapped up in his jacket.

The sound of Bengal's voice drew June from her daydream just in time to witness Krampus' final act. The amount and speed of his snow projectiles was impressive... right until it crashed up against her defense creation spells. Flashy, but equally ineffective. Slightly less boring even. Judging by her love's words of thanks, Krampus' final struggles had been a bit entertaining for him as well. June smiled a bit.
Her mood lifted considerably once Bengal broke through Krampus' defenses for the last time. The fight would be over in short order and they could get out of the cold.
Once Krampus was dead, the noblewoman relaxed and allowed the Protection Orbs to fall, splashing against the streets as the water collapsed without her mana to support it before fading away from existence. The Magic Knight's smile broadened when Bengal turned to face her. She bent over to scoop up the lightning mage's discarded items before walking over to the tall man and offering them to him.
"I'm glad you didn't eat Krampus. You would smell awful for days. I suppose with enough magic and spices he could be turned into something edible but..." June trailed off, her nose wrinkling briefly in distaste, "I think he's better off being used for nonfood items, don't you think?"
Notably, the short Silva didn't offer her fiancé his jacket along with his other things. Between his compliment and the warmth the garment provided, June had no intention of removing it now. If the cold bothered Bengal he would simply move faster to generate more body heat. As it was, Bengal didn't seem to be faring too poorly against the harsh weather. By comparison, June's face was red with the beginnings of frostbite despite the added layer of clothing.
"I'll carry the body if you fly us home, Tori," June offered. "We are in dire need of a bath after being in close proximity with Krampus. It took a frightfully short time for his scent to sink into our clothes."
As usual, the noblewoman was already focused on the cleanup. She had always been that way: never wanting to dirty her hands or stay grimy for longer than absolutely necessary. Even when a full bath wasn't strictly necessary, June usually insisted upon it. The short woman usually got her way when it came to bath time due to Bengal's indulgence and his enjoyment of bathing together.
The smirk on June's face also hinted at a desire to engage in other activities in the bath, once they no longer reeked of coal of course. Before Bengal answered her, the short woman was already extending her arms upwards for the man to pick her up, intent on latching her arms and legs around his torso once he did.
She pressed her cold face against Bengal's neck, soaking in the warmth radiating from his skin.
"How are you always so warm?"
June slipped off her gloves and threaded her nearly frozen fingers through his hair as best she could for additional heat. Without loosening her grip on the large man holding her, the noblewoman summoned River Step to carry Krampus' corpse. The magic river appeared before snaking around the icy coal lump on the ground, water pooling until the dead monster began to float atop its surface. Residue leaked into the spell, black and oily, causing the water to turn a murky grey color.

As June commented on Krampus' taste, a laugh rumbled through his chest. "I couldn't eat him before due to him being part of the Dungeon. They all turned to pure mana if they got drug out," as he mused this, Bengal glanced down at the small woman as she quickly toddled over before offering him back his weapons and items. Sliding the ring onto his finger, it instantly attuned to him and began to rapidly enhance his mana flow. Flooding him with warmth before he blinked as she demanded him to scoop her up.
Chuckling softly, he leaned down allowing her to wrap her arms around his neck before his arm scooped her up. Kissing her softly and squeezing her backside smugly, before arching a brow at her words. Offering to carry the body while he flew them seemed fine to him, so he nodded his head once as his muscles flexed out. Large wings bursting from his shoulders and spreading out before his gaze slid down toward her.
"The scent of coal is definitely unpleasant, but there's worse," he chuckled softly, before nuzzling into her neck gently. "Still, impossible to hide your scent from me so don't worry." With these he would contemplate her earlier words as the water swirled around the body. Bengal's wings twitching once, before sending him and her shooting through the sky.
"We'll turn him into a nice suit of armor for you. Perhaps I can make something useful out of Frost as well." Something that could amplify his speed and physique would be useful. His current equipment was something he'd used when he'd lacked the raw magical prowess that he now held. Capable of casually enhancing his magical power just as high. Perhaps his equipment was a bit outdated.
It was too bad the items were basically made for him. Though, the ring may be of use to Eve. Humming he put such thoughts from his mind and instead shifted his gaze down toward June as she suddenly nuzzled into his neck. His lip twitching upward as the clear meaning of her earlier desires also filled his mind. A bit of fun in that bath wasn't something he ever turned down.
"I'll have to make sure to reward you properly for being so patient, hm?" Bengal practically purred, nipping the tip of her ear before she mumbled about his warmth. Chuckling deep in his chest. The heat from the battle still burned, though it was lower than it had been in the moment.
"I'll blame my excitement I suppose. Your love is a battle-maniac, after all," he murmured to her smugly as he shifted her against him. Pulling her close against him so that she could absorb the warmth as much as possible. His fingertips of his free hand lifting to tangle in her hair, petting her gently.
"Anything you want in particular? We can use Frost or Krampus for the raw magical materials and make it more fashionable with the Yeti and Deer fur. It should make it a bit more to your liking once it's all cleaned and properly enchanted." With this, Bengal tilted his wings. Flying faster, heading toward their home toward the Forsaken Region. A nice hot bath in their home sounded perfect right now.

June's grip on the large man tightened when he kissed her, a happy sigh passing her lips once their mouths parted. Between the warmth seeping into her body from Bengal's embrace and his affections, the last traces of grumpiness melted away. Normally, the noblewoman would have let her love scoop her up bridal style or carry her on his back but today, the Silva felt the need to be even closer. Something about being able to wrap her arms and legs around him felt more intimate. Plus, it allowed her to warm up faster.
"I'm glad I don't smell only of coal and burnt oil," the Magic Knight replied, smirking at Bengal's comment on her scent. It was a relief to know that she didn't smell utterly horrible to her fiancé even if June knew he wouldn't complain if she did.
The speed of the lightning mage's flight had the added benefit of creating enough wind to carry away the worst of the stink Krampus left behind. Despite the chill and the thinness of the air at altitude, the petite noblewoman was able to breathe more freely.
"Armor might be nice," June mused, peering over Bengal's shoulder to watch buildings, trees, and hills pass beneath them.
Krampus' corpse lagged behind, but was still visible, floating atop River Step like a body putrid from decay. That much was a bit surprising, given the monster's rotund figure which seemed to be made of solid coal and ice. Then again, June had never tested coal to see if it could float. What sort of magic would be capable of getting rid of the smell still emanating from Krampus' body? They would need to treat it quite thoroughly before it was usable as a garment.
"How would we treat the body to rid it of the smell? I know some Ryuutei do leatherwork and tanning, but I've never observed the process up close. Despite the strong odor of what they use to treat skins, the finished garments never stink. Depending on the method, we could do something similar with Krampus' remains."
Traditional tanning was stomach turning work in the noblewoman's opinion. Ryuutei wasted nothing, which made them particularly suited to such "dirty work". If anyone knew how to get rid of awful smells, it would be a tanner from Bengal's clan.
"Mr. Frost, on the other hand, will probably be a carving job," June continued, "his bones might be suitable for enchanted items. Your sword from the old Krampus' spine is fairly powerful, but perhaps you could make accessories. Otherwise, you could separate the vertebra and fashion them into knives or even arrows with enough time and patience."
Once the Silva had gotten over her disgust with corpses, she had become quite creative with thinking of uses for the dead. While it was still quite grim in her opinion, June was able to appreciate the practicality of it.
"On the subject of knives, Krampus' weapons got swept up with his body. We could definitely repurpose those. His claws might make for decent knives themselves. Or perhaps finer tools since they are rather thin and spindly," the petite woman continued to muse.
"Though," a smirk crossed June's face, "we could always turn Krampus' spare parts into children's toys or training weapons. It would be the closest that old goat came to bringing Yule time joy to anyone." A snicker followed the statement. "Can you imagine how incensed he would be if only he could see that?"

June's comment in regards to her scent caused a laugh to pass from between his lips. Beating his wings twice to send him spiraling forward, eyes glancing down toward her. "You always smell good, Flower." He murmured simply, feeling her cling to him tighter as he kissed the side of her throat fondly. Soon the conversation shifted back, however.
"Armor it is," he chuckled softly, "Let's see if we can use his bones as proper plates, maybe we can use his skin though," his gaze shifted back toward the corpse briefly along with her own gaze. Shaking his head, Bengal instead shifted them heading toward Ryu. Her question about the treatment of the body caused a low chuckle to fill his lips.
"It varies on the beast. The usual mixture wood ash and water is the most efficient, the water will leech out the scent. Though, Mana Beasts can vary. Perhaps we'll make him into a new type of oil or something." As he mused this he did the mental math on the body itself. Glancing at its proportions and the like as she listed ideas for the body to be used for, even including the ideas related toward Frost.
"I've been thinking about making Frost into a spear for you, but perhaps some armor would be a better mixture. Or..." he hummed at the idea of knives and toys, laughing softly at her little jab at the dead creature. "Its claws should certainly make decent utensils, though I don't know about weaponry. Perhaps Eve would find them useful as hidden weaponry?" Contemplating this for a moment he shrugged. "Making magically amplified jewelry would certainly fit your aesthetic, however."
"No matter what, I'll make sure whatever we make you doesn't have a smell Flower, that much I promise." He chuckled softly, kissing her once more before his wings beat again. Their speed increasing as the shape of Ryu began to appear on the horizon, the forsaken region below them slowly shifted from dead wasteland to a lush foliage and exotic forest.

By this point, the petite woman had warmed to a more comfortable temperature thanks to her fiancé's ability to generate heat like a wood stove. Her grasp on his torso relaxed a bit as the steady motion of flight combined with the comfortable warmth of her love's embrace eased the noblewoman into a nearly sleepy state. The blur of landscapes blending together into a series of barely distinguishable colors didn't help her cling to wakefulness either.
Bengal's promise that he would rid the body of it's stink earned him an appreciative kiss on the shoulder and a quiet laugh.
"A frost spear would be an interesting weapon to wield. I'd need a bit of time to adjust to fighting with such an implement though."
It hadn't taken June long to become proficient with the bastard sword sheathed at her side. The petite woman had a knack for weapons, which she'd discovered during their trek back to Clover after the Shattering. Those skills had only been made sharper with each mission where the Magic Knight had the opportunity to wield the Bastard. It was a fine weapon, capable of cutting down weaker enemies with a blow or two. Against stronger creatures, however, it took a while to deal enough damage to be effective. As she grew more powerful and took on more dangerous missions and dungeons, a deadlier weapon was needed.
"Frost should make a better weapon than the Bastard," she mumbled after working through her thoughts in response to Bengal's suggestion.
"Returning to the idea of using Krampus' skin, it might be fashioned into decent boots, a sheath, or perhaps even a harness. His fingers could make small knives for Eve. She seems the type that favors thrown knives that can be hidden away in her hair or clothes. Barring that, amplifying magic would benefit her, particularly if she wishes to do missions on her own."
Shortly after her statement the petite Silva nearly dozed off in Bengal's arms. She recalled the body that was being carried on River Step and forced herself awake with a light grumble.
"Bone jewelry might be nice," the Silver Eagle added. "It compliments your clan's aesthetic and can be elegant enough to go with my current wardrobe. Enchantments would make it practical as well."
Practical and elegant, the perfect blend of Ryuutei and Silva values. With consideration, one could find surprising similarities between the two houses despite their opposing backgrounds.
When Bengal finally touched down in Ryu, June grumbled sleepily. "Where can I leave the body? I am in dire need of a bath." She sniffed. "We both are."
Of course, the spoiled noble didn't get down from her comfortable position despite her complaints.

Bengal grunted as she agreed to the idea of utilizing the parts as jewelry, humming deep in his chest. Shifting his gaze to the side as he contemplated his options for such. His love enjoyed earrings and proper rings the most after their trip across the continent. They were easy to wear without them interfering in her movements, so he appreciated them for both their appearance and practicality. Items made from Frost was sure to be quite potent. Shifting his gaze to the side Bengal examined the body trailing behind them before nodding once to her other ideas.
"Boots would be useful for you. Something to augment your physical speed and power so you could move and fight without relying on your magic would likely benefit you." It wasn't a shot at his love. He knew all too well that she was physically weaker and slower than most, there was no shame in that fact. She was the most durable mage he'd ever met in return, and when combined with her magic she simply didn't need it. Despite that however, she wanted to be stronger. For that reason magic items could easily help supplement those weaknesses as well as save her mana in the long run.
The sudden request as they landed for a shower caused Bengal to laugh softly. Kissing her forehead softly. "Just leave it by the door, I'll butcher and deal with it and the other bodies later. A 'bath' first, as my Flower requests," he smirked. Fangs sinking into her soft throat with a teasing bite, pulling her close as he pushed the sliding door aside to enter the primary building. Rumbling with amusement as his gaze shifted toward the master bedroom.
A bath would be first of course. Whatever came after that was no one elses business.
