Artemis would groggily wake up from her slumber. She remembered snippets of last night, and truth be told, it had been one of her most memorable ones. For the most part, Artemis had little to say for her nights. She was a Magic Knight through and through, after all. This meant that she ate and slept in a spartan way, unwilling to hold onto too many possessions. Even her room now as a Vice Captain, while larger and more spacious than before, was still as bare as her previous room has been. That was just how she likes to live her life. Material possessions, at least those in excess, are things she did not want. Simplicity, even amongst the riches her family owns, was her way of life.[break][break]
She turned her attention now to her partner, who seemed to slowly be waking up as well. Glancing out the large ceiling-to-floor glass doorway, it seems that the sun was just starting to peek out from the horizon. This meant that it was most likely just around five or six in the morning. The perfect time to wake up and freshen oneself for the day. At least, this was Artemis’ routine. Early riser, and a late sleeper. Rest was for the wicked, after all.[break][break]
“Hey,” she would whisper, kissing her partner on the cheek as she admired Lydia’s beauty. “It’s rise and shine time.” Artemis gave Lydia a soft smile. In their state of dress, or was it undress, she knew that other activities might be tempting. However, they had other plans today. “If we want to get a good amount of time out in the ocean.” [break][break]
It was their day off, and Artemis had wanted to show Lydia one of her flagships. And possibly go for a dip in the deep blue sea.[break][break]
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would wake up to the sounds of the early morning birds and light shinning into the room. She would slowly open her own eyes taking the view of the room she wasn't use to but she knew it would only take a few more visits to the green mantis base to get use to it. It didn't have much inside not that it was a big deal after all Lydia's room back at the crimson lion base was also quite bare. She would then shift her gaze to Artemis she would give the room a smile as she spoke and kissed Lydia's check. the crimson lion vice captain heard the water mages words but wasn't ready to get out of bed just yet and would instead rest her head on her partners chest. Just a few more minutes. With the the glass mage would look up at her lover while tracing a finger town Artemis' left side. Gods you are so beautiful. Lydia would then move closer to the green mantis' face kissing her neck a few times before moving to give her a kiss on the lips. It was only a tease even if the other activity was tempting it seemed the water mage had plans for the two of them. Lydia would then slowly get out of bed but wouldn't get dressed just yet. [break][break] We should take a shower before we leave. Assuming Artemis agreed Lydia would make her way to the bathroom. Once the two finished up cleaning themselves Lydia would start getting dressed while casting a healing spell on her back. I enjoyed our night but I'll have to teach you to how to scratch softer. Lydia would then think back to there plan for the day it was nice to have time to spend with only the water mage however there was one small problem. The pink haired mage would wrapper her arms around the other rooms waist pulling her closer. I don't mind going to the ocean with you however there are two problems. I don't know how to swim and if we are heading out on the water we'll need to stop by the crimson lion base so I can grab my swimsuit. You should also bring an outfit or two with for when you stay over I'll bring some next time I visit you here. Now then I'm ready to leave if you are.

Artemis was still unused to this. Lydia, it seems, was more confident with all of these relationship interactions. For the water mage, it was something new and foreign. Relationships, at least of the passionate kind, were something that she was unfamiliar with. But, she was keeping in stride. Lydia’s kisses sent shivers down her spine, and she returned them in kind. The woman would then drag her to the shower, and she obliged. [break][break]
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and truly, you’re the beautiful one.” Artemis gave Lydia another kiss as they finally made their way out of the shower and towards changing for the day. She would listen to Lydia explain the situation, and she would nod in kind. [break][break]
“I suppose having a change in your base might be a good idea,” she nodded. Artemis fully expected to stay at the Crimson Lions’ base, especially since spending the night with Lydia had been very relaxing. In fact, she could not think of a better way to wake up but beside the woman she loved. “And yes, it might be a good idea to actually have you bring your stuff here as well.” Artemis smiled, “I do hope we get to spend more nights like these together.” [break][break]
Looking out the large window-door, Artemis would realize that it was almost at least seven in the morning. Just a good time to actually get a move on. She had hoped to spend some time having breakfast, but it seems that they would need to have theirs on the go. Artemis at least knew that Lydia would not mind that. As both Magic Knights, they were ones who knew how to do everything on the go. [break][break] “Shall we?” Artemis would gesture towards the door. She would open it and turn towards one of the hallways, looking back as she held her hand out for Lydia to take. “The Spatial Mage should be up by now.” [break][break]
If Lydia would allow it, Artemis would lead them towards where the Spatial Mage of the Green Mantis squad would be normally found. The water mage would request for them to be taken just outside of the Crimson Lions base, which should be a destination that was within the parameters of the Spatial Magic Knight. [break][break] “The loveliest first,” Artemis would smirk at Lydia, gesturing to the portal that the Spatial Mage would open for them.
[attr="class","florencetext"] As the two female mages were making there way shower and Artemis spoke Lydia would feel her face during a little red. She also also gladly take another kiss after all how could she say no to the water mage. The crimson lion mage would then give a bright smile. You truly do have a way with words it's one of my favorite things about you. Lydia was glad that Artemis was fine with the idea of bring clothes to each others room. I don't see why we couldn't? I'd be fine with sharing a bed with you every night if possible after all what better way to wake up than next to the person you love? [break][break] Once the water mage asked if Lydia was ready to go the pink haired mage would follow Artemis to the spatial mage before stepping into the portal appearing outside the crimson lion base. Looks like it's my turn to show you around. As the two female mages approached the base the normal junior mage on watch duty would show up and look at the two of them. "I thought it was your day of vice captain Ravencrest?" It is I was just stopping by the base to get a change of cloth. Lydia would then finishing leading Artemis to her room which was just a plane as former's other than a mirror. Lydia would then shut the door behind them stripping out of her current outfit while walking over to her closet and changing into her swimsuit which was just a simple white bikini. [break][break] She would then grab a jacket that looked similar to the type of shirt she normally wore she would finish it off by grabbing a white sunhat to protect her eyes from the sun. The glass mage would then turn to face her lover? So how do I look? Once the green mantis mage spoke Lydia would grab her hand. We only have one place left here before we can go. With that she would lead the two of them to dinning hall. You can take whatever you want to eat. The glass mage would only take an apple as she wasn't that hungry at the moment. So Arty where is our next stop?

Artemis would watch as her partner would make her stride into the Crimson Lions’ base. It seems as though that people knew of their Vice Captain’s day off. Artemis herself had not told anyone about her taking the day off. For the most part, she really did not care for people’s knowledge of her. Most importantly, she did not think that it was information that anybody needed to know. So, for the majority of the Green Mantis, they would think that their Vice Captain was most likely out and about with her day. If they needed her, they would send her a message using one of their more adept Communication based mages. However, Artemis will spend her day as she saw fit.[break][break]
Being led to Lydia’s room, she would realize just how sparse it was. Almost as spartan as her own room. She supposed that it was something they had in common. Artemis was not one for material possessions save for the most important ones. As a Magic Knight of renown, Lydia herself would not have time to be dilly dallying, and therefore had little amounts of possessions in her squad base’s room.[break][break]
“You look stunning.” Artemis would smile at Lydia’s outfit. It accentuated the best parts of her physique, while keeping her modesty for only her lover’s eyes. “My own change is already in my flagship.” She would nod, “I was hoping you could ask the Spatial mage of your squad to send us to Hapshass. My flagship had recently been completed, and I wanted to show it off to you, as well as possibly taking it out for a sail and swim, hm?” She would ask. Her own swimsuit was already in the captain’s quarters, having moved most of her old items from her old flagship into this new and improved one.[break][break]
If Lydia would permit, they would use the Crimson Lions’ spatial mage to open a portal to Hapshass. From there, Artemis would leave the way to the docks of the town to reveal the mighty galleon that had been specifically designed to be the new flagship of the Somerset Head of House.
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would return the smile before spinning in a circle so that water mage could get the full view of the outfit.I'm glad you like it to be honest I don't wear it much since I rarely go to the beach. As Arty spoke about her own outfit already being at her flagship as well as the what she hoped the two of them could do for the day the pink haired mage would nod her head. Yeah getting the spatial mage to take us to Hapshass won't be a problem I can't wait to see your swimsuit I bet it will look even more stunning than mine. I also don't mind seeing the ship after all it's our day off and I want to spend as much time together as we can. Swimming however is out of the question unless you plan on teaching me? Regardless of if Artemis planned on teach Lydia how to swim she would lead the two of them to the spatial mage who would then open a portal to Hapshass for the two of them. Lydia would then wrap her arm around one of the water mages as she was lead to the docks. The smell of the port was just as bad as the white and blonde haired mage told her it would be the last time they spoke of it. However Lydia had smelled worse during the war so it wasn't all to bad. Then her eyes would focus on the massive ship Arty lead them to it was easily the biggest in the docks. It's huge and beautiful I think it fits you perfectly. Are all your ships normally this big or just this one?

Artemis would smile and blush at her partner’s compliment. Truly, she was not one to wear her swimsuit either, though she did have great memories taking weekends away with her siblings down by the docks and the nearby beach. The waters calmed Artemis, and being in or within its proximity gave her a sense of peace unlike anything. She would attribute it to her mana, and her affinity to water. [break][break] “I suppose I will just have to teach you how to swim. After all, it is a good skill to have.” She would offer as they made their way towards the spatial mage. The person had been good enough to open a portal in no time, and they were quickly whisked away to Hapshass, her hometown. She had not been here often enough after becoming a Magic Knight, even though her mother had told her to visit every now and then. [break][break] The walk to the docks was quick and easy, the early morning had not attracted too many wandering citizens as of the moment. The port of Hapshass was known to be a fishing port, busy with trade and business as it was the place where the rivermouth opened into the rest of the Clover Kingdom. It was a strategic place, a town that was guarded by many nobles who knew of its significance. Mainly, the Somersets.[break][break]
“The flagship of the Somersets, my own commanding vessel: Aquarius.” Artemis positively beamed at the ship. Its masts were the usual three points, while and extra two side masts had been installed to catch the drift of the wind easier. This made the ship one of the fastest in the Clover Kingdom, if not the fastest. As it is, Aquarius has not had its maiden voyage just yet, and Artemis had wanted to share this moment with Lydia.[break][break]
“This one is especially made for the Head of the Family. I commissioned it as part of the reconstruction of the Somerset fleet. I foresee a need for its use one day…” She would drift off, thinking of the events happening in the previous years. Truly, there was no end to this bloodshed, and Artemis was simply preparing for the worst. [break][break]
“Come, shall we tour the deck?” Artemis then held her hand out for Lydia, before the both of them started their way up the planks that connected the dock to the ship, and onto the ship itself. It was a standard deck, though there were already crewmen and woman who were starting to pack up for the short trip out into the sea. She would wave at them, while they bowed towards the two women. “The deck of the ship is used for foot traffic only. Everything that is everything is below deck. This includes the cannons and the supplies. Though, I made sure to design the deck so that on each side, it is lined with a miniature wall that the crew can use to shield themselves.” [break][break]
Artemis smiled now, before turning towards Lydia. “Would you like to see the helm first? Or maybe below deck where we keep all of the firepower?”
[attr="class","florencetext"] The glass mage would nod her head as Artemis said she would teach her how to swim. Lydia will still a little nervous with the whole concept but it's not like the water mage would actually let her drown. I suppose your right after all better late than never. Just don't let me drown. The pink haired mage would of course say the second part jokingly. Lydia would listen as the other women spoke a little about the ship. So what made you pick that name? Don't get me wrong I think it's a good name I'm just wondering why that one out of everything else. As Artemis held her hand out and asked the glass mage to tour the deck Lydia would nod her head taking a hold of her loves hand while walking up to the ship which was a first for her. So if you command this ship yourself what do they do when you are busy with your work as a magic knight do you have someone that's like a vice captain that takes command while your away or does it just stay here. Once the questions were answered and Artemis spoke more about how the top of the ship was mainly just for walking on while all the other things were kept down below. At the mention of cannons however the pink haired mages eyes would light up in excitement. Hmmm well I'd love to see the cannons but it's your ship so I suppose we can take a look at what you want to look at first. Lydia was really hoping it was the cannons as well but she was honestly fine with exploring the whole ship.

Artemis would smile at the woman. “Of course I would not let you drown, I’m quite fond of you, you know.” She gave Lydia a small wink wink turning around as she surveyed the ship itself. The crew had doubled now. Those who had been sleeping had now been roused by their companions. Their Captain was on-board now, after all, and they needed to get everything going. The supplies would be the most important, but the amount of ropes that needed to be inspected would mean that more than a handful of deckhands were needed to be actively running around. This was the burden of a large ship like the Aquarius. It was strong and fast, but needed more men to sail.[break][break]
“Aquarius is one of the mythological beings of the sea. She is the embodiment of everything water. The giver of life, and the destroyer of the damned.” Artemis would smile, “I suppose naming the ship after her was a tribute of sorts.” It was something she had wanted to do, a nominal tribute to the sea deity.[break][break]
She then turned towards the helm, where the steering wheel of the ship is located. It was just a foot higher than the deck, which gave the Captain and the helmsman a visual advantage while sailing. “This ship is mine, and is used solely for the purpose of dealing with any types of sea-related affairs; mainly pirates and large sea mana beasts. For the most part, it stays docked with a minimal amount of crew members.” Artemis would then nod, “But my mother will sometimes commandeer the ship when she needs it for transport. I could not say no to my mother, after all.” She then turned to Lydia, “Have you never truly gone on a ship like this before?”[break][break]
Then, Lydia mentioned cannons. Artemis would positively beam. The cannons were her pride and joy, something that had been a part of the ship’s design.[break][break]
“Come,” Artemis held her hand out for Lydia to take. Hopefully she would take it as Artemis led Lydia down a small flight of stairs. On the deck just below the main one, both walls of the ship would be lined with about a dozen cannons.[break][break]
“These cannons are new. They do not need any type of ammo to them. Instead, they use the mana of the person using them. Sort of like a spell, but without a grimoire. Pure, unadulterated, mana.” Artemis would then point towards one of them, one facing away from the city of Hapshass and into the sea. “Why don’t you try one? All you need to do is place your hand around the handles, and then aim. After you’re satisfied, pour mana into the handles.” Artemis would then chuckle, “And then Boom!”
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would smile as the green mantis vice captain confirmed that she would in fact not let the glass mage drown however the second half left some room for teasing. She would put her arms around Artemis' waist while placing her head on the other rooms shoulder. Just found of me nothing more than that? I guess I'll have to keep that in mind for next time. She would then kiss the water mages cheek just in case Artemis thought she was actually mad. As the name of the ship was explained to Lydia it started to make more sense the the head of the ravencrest family. The talk would then shift to what happened to the ship for most of the time while the water mage was busy with work as a magic knight. [break][break] No I've never been on a ship before let alone one like this. I grew up in the royal capital and my family isn't really known for exploring the sea. Not to mention the fact I can swim so if the ship were to sink it wouldn't have meant anything good for me. As Lydia spoke about the cannons the look on Arty's face wouldn't go unnoticed which meant they were most likely heading there next. She would gladly take the other rooms hands as she got lead to the lower part of the ship. Sorry for all the questions I've been asking it's just I like hearing about your interest so I figured the more I know about them the more we can talk about them. As she got the run down of the cannon and was even allowed to shot one the glass mage would stop and think for a moment. [break][break] I wonder if my family helped make these cannons after all that's kind of our thing. She would then place both her hands on the handles focusing her mana into the cannon. So what's it like fighting mana beast at Sea? It seemed that the vice captain had gotten a little distracted and let to much of her mana flow into the cannon causing a huge shot of light magic to fire out of the cannon that flew about three hundred meters away before striking the water making a huge explosion. The light mage would then turn to face her love. Ops looks like I used a little to much mana.

Artemis smiled as the woman contemplated on her family. It was something that she herself did not really ask too much about. Lydia’s family was her own, and she would talk about them in due time. Though, to hear that the Ravencrests did not truly dabble into the affairs of the sea was not surprising to say the least. There were only truly a handful of noble families that dealt with trade and fishing, and the Somersets were one of the largest and more influential ones. At least, influential for a lesser noble. [break][break]
“It’s alright, I am happy to answer any of your questions.” Artemis smiled softly at her partner, before squeezing her hand, “I am an open book, just ask and you shall hear my answer.” She was an honest person, and sometimes, just too honest. Artemis was not one to sugarcoat things, after all, and it sometimes made people quite wary of her. Justifiably so. [break][break]
As Lydia turned to the cannons, Artemis would speak up with her own question. [break][break]
“Your family, they are the ones that deal with magical items, hm?” Artemis would ask. There was not much known about the Ravencrests, at least, not for the Somersets. They did not directly deal with them, after all. Most of the contracts they had were with the lesser nobility, those who lived in the Common Region. So, upper nobility families were not too familiar with the Somersets, and vice versa. Unless, of course, they had ordered fishing or transport vessels. “It could be that they were contracted to make these magical cannons. I was only a part of the design process. While I am not at the estate, my mother usually handles all of the other details for things like these.” She would shrug, “I would not be surprised at all if your family had been the ones to supply these cannons.” Artemis then turned her attention to the one nearest to her, “Do you think the design is something your family makes?”[break][break]
Then, there was a large resounding explosion. Artemis would watch as Lydia poured quite a bit of mana into the cannon, and it shot straight towards the open sea. She would chuckle at the woman’s strength, before responding. “Well, with the amount of power you poured into that cannon, you can definitely take one out in a heartbeat.” She would shake her head in mirth, “However, for the most part, it’s all about firepower. And, of course, speed. Water based mana beasts are deceptively fast, and are ferocious. If we do not need to fight them, we try not to.”[break][break]
She would then turn towards the staircase, “Shall we go to my quarters? I think it is about time for myself to change, and then we can get going!” The prospect of starting the small sailing expedition had elated Artemis. It had been awhile since she had been out in the open sea like this, after all.[break][break]
If Lydia agrees, Artemis would lead them to the Captain’s Quarters, which was ornately decorated. The water mage would then change into her swimsuit.
[attr="class","florencetext"] As the water mage said it was fine with all the questions Lydia was asking and that she would happily answer any of them the glass mage would smile before running her hand through Artemis hair. I'm glad but it looks like I'll have to think of some more. I'll answer any you have as well. The crimson lion mage would then quickly look around to make sure they were alone. Well I guess my next would be was last night your first time? It didn't matter to Lydia if it was or not but she figured she'd ask anyway. As the topic switched back to her family the pink haired mage would realize she really didn't talk about her family much. [break][break] Yeah my family deals with that well mainly the ones that aren't a part of the main family as we are normally magic knights or part of the political scene it's been like that since we became a main noble family maybe even before hand. As the water spoke more about the cannons and asked if Lydia's family would make cannons like this the vice captain would think for a moment. Well I'm not to sure just by looking at it like this as we do take custom orders for how they look and such but that's mainly stuff my mother deals with. However there is always one way to tell if it was made by my family. Lydia would then place on of her hands on the main part of the cannon letting her mana flow through the cannon. After a few moments Lydia would look under barrel of the cannon and at a glowing seal of her family. If you look underneath it you can see our family crest it's there all the time the only reason it's glowing is because I used my mana to find it. they use some kind of special crafting trick to make it react to any member of my family's mana how they do it I'm not sure. Lydia was interested in sea mana beast to say the least after all she was pretty fast herself. [break][break] I wounder if I could beat one in a race once I learn how to swim that is. Hmm I also wonder if someone in my family would be able to magically enhance the sails for you make there own wind or something like that. If you want I could always ask? It was clear Artemis took pride in this ship so Lydia wanted to do anything she could to help her love make it the best ship in clover. As the topic switched to heading to the captains room Lydia would nod her head before taking taking the other rooms hands. She would then watch as the water mage changed into her own swimsuit she showed Artemis' amazing body. See I knew you'd look stunning. It's beautiful just like you always are. So what's next?

Artemis would finished getting her swim suit on. Well, it was more of a vanity item for her, something that had been forced upon her by her mother, who always said that she needed to show of her beautiful physique more. It was, apparently, her civic duty to show off just how beautiful the Lady of the Somerset Family was. She had never found fancy in it, though she made sure to keep the piece within her own cabin, for days when she felt like basking in the sun. That was what it was good for, after all. “Thank you.” Artemis accepted Lydia’s compliment, slightly blushing pink. She was unused to it.[break][break]
“I suppose it was my first time,” she would slowly respond. Artemis had never found herself inclined to do anything of the sort, not with men nor women. Of course, she chalked it up to just her being fairly focused on her career as a Magic Knight. And her focus had shown, having achieved what she had now. “Being someone who has dedicated her whole life to the betterment of herself, the Green Mantis, and the Clover Kingdom as a whole leaves me quite inexperienced in a lot of things save combat.” She mused. “How about you? Was it something you’ve not done either?” [break][break]
She would then listen to her partner's explanation. The Ravencrest family was definitely filled with surprises, and all she knew about them was the fact that they were an upper nobility family, as well as Lydia being the current heiress. “How interesting.” She would comment as Lydia showed her the glowing crest. “I assume this is some form of fail safe for your family.” Artemis would shake her head now, “there are quite a number of copy cats out there who are looking to make quick money. This measure makes it so that your family and anybody who wanted to check the legitimacy of your product can easily prove it.” Money mongers. Petty thieves. Artemis found herself sighing as she thought of the countless of pirates who had tried to claim that they sailed for the Somerset banner. None of them could prove it. Documentation was the key, after all. “We do the same thing. All of our ships are registered with the Clover Kingdom’s records. We also have our seal engraved in a specific corner that only those of the family know of; since we engrave it ourselves. A foolproof way to keep track of our ships, and those that claim to be our ships.”[break][break]
After taking Lydia’s hand, she led them out of the Captain’s Quarters and towards the helm of the ship. “The sea monsters are hard to beat in terms of speed, not because they’re fast, but because they can disappear underwater. They know every crook and cranny. Fearsome, indeed.” She would shake her head, “though I’m sure if it’s a battle of speed line, you’d come out with their heads severed.” Artemis smiled, knowing just how fast Lydia can be when she pushed the limit. [break][break]
“This is where I steer the ship.” She held the wheel that was ornate, lined with gold and reinforced with mana infused wood. “You can stay here for the moment. I will sail us out into the open and then we can enjoy ourselves.” Artemis then gave the woman a soft kiss to the cheek, before turning her attention towards the open sea. Everything was ready now, and she would start the small expedition without delay. [break][break]
Artemis hoped that Lydia would enjoy her time as they sailed the open sea. It would not take too long, but the crystal clear waters of the open sea was a great view, especially with the sea foam cresting.
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would listen as Artemis thanked her while blushing a little but the vice captain would just shake her head while giving the other women a smile. Babe you don't need to thank me for speaking the truth and you look cute when you blush. Lydia wasn't surprised it was the water mages first time after all it was just like she said her focus for a long time was herself squad and kingdom and perhaps it still was Lydia didn't mind however as the white and blonde haired mage always made time for the glass mage. It was only fair that she was asked the same question and as much as she wanted to say her first time was with a water mage it was untrue and she wasn't going to lie about. Sadly it wasn't I would have loved for my first time to be with you but there was four other times before we met however only one was with a man. It doesn't matter as that doesn't make our night together any less special and I'm glad I was able to share that moment with you I hope that wasn't a one time thing. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. [break] The next question she wasn't sure about the answer to but as Artemis explained why it might be like that the glass mage figured that was part of the reason. I'm not sure if that's the whole reason we do it after all our side families take great pride in claiming others can't copy the same way we make our magic items so I suppose it's just a way to show our clients we actually made them and I'd like to see the crest on your ship one day if you'd wouldn't mind showing me? As the two of them made there way above deck the talk of mana beast would once again start again. Hm so not only are they fast but they are cunning as well perhaps I'll try and race against them one day it would be fun even if I lost. As they made there way to the helm it seemed that more of the crew had shown up more then likely knowing they were getting ready to head out to sea however the pink haired mage had other plans as her love finished speaking Lydia would move behind the other women place her hands on her waist. She would then start to slowly move her hands higher but while kissing her neck stop just as she reach bellow the water mages chest and the kisses would stop as Lydia got close to her ear. I like it when you take charge perhaps I can give you a shoulder massage after all I don't like just standing around. [break][break] The glass mage would then softly bite Arty's ear teasingly. Sadly there were to many people around to tease the water mage the way she would have liked. Assuming the other women agreed Lydia would place her hands on the green mantis vice captain's shoulders and start the massage after all she was good with her hands.

Artemis would mull over what had been said, as she turned her attention towards her steering the ship due south. Of course, there was also the fact that Lydia had seemed to think that it was the best time to try and tease her. She would not fight it. No, she enjoyed it too much to say anything. Instead, she let her partner do what she wanted, and then her massaging her back as she held the wheel with a tight grip. [break][break]
“Ah, that hits the spot…” She would sigh in contentment as she made sure to keep an eye on the open sea. There were little obstacles besides the small islands that populate the shores of Clover, though it was best to make sure that they stayed on course. [break][break]
“I really don’t mind that it was not your first.” Artemis would shrug, “As long as we enjoy it, that is all that matters.” Those kinds of things never bothered Artemis. Jealousy was not something she was familiar with. She found herself more understanding, and capable of acknowledging that the woman would have some sort of history. Everyone did. “And as for the crest. Well, it actually is by one of the masts of the ship. Just below the sail of the main one. It’s fairly small, and a small pulse of mana in the right place will reveal it.” She knew that spot by heart. Artemis was, after all, the person who engraved it there by hand. [break][break]
Artemis would then point towards the horizon. [break][break]
“Do you see that small island?” There was a small outcrop of land just in the horizon. Farther than the other islands around the proximity of the shore, but still close enough to be travelled by a smaller vessel. “That is rumoured to be an island where the Great Spirit Undine had once resided in. A lone island. Long before the Great Spirits had blessed the land with their mana, and created what we now know today as our continent.” It was all superstition of the locals, but it was definitely a fun fact. “We actually will be docking just beyond that. There is a great fishing spot just after the island’s shores. And the view of the green and lush island is always a nice backdrop.” [break][break]
The ship slowly sailed towards the small island, which sported one large tree in the middle of it. Around the whole island were vegetation that was usually found in tropical areas. Artemis would turn the ship towards the south side, slowing it down by commanding her crew to lower the sails. She would then order to anchor the ship as they found a good spot not too far from the shore. It would be a good spot for Lydia to learn how to swim. [break][break]
“So, are you ready for your first swimming lesson?” Artemis would ask as she finally got the crew settled. They would all have their duties. Fishing. Resupplying. Repairing. Check and maintenance. Artemis, however, was on swimming duty with Lydia.
