The bells ringing filled the air. Those of weaker wills were under the influence of whatever illusion this was generating, targeting the townspeople specifically. The White Tiger had anticipated an assault of some sort, but not something somehow slipping past his sensory network of Golems to sneak into the town and target the bells as a spell catalyst. Using them as the center would make the spells range increase greatly. What a pain in the ass.
The other two were giving chase to him. His gaze shot backward toward the pair, they needed a plan and if the two were intent to help him that was even better. The golems he had created suddenly swirled into clouds of mist and flame but the spells enhancing himself and the other two remained.
"We need to take out the bells without damaging the towers or the town itself," he stated simply, lifting his arm and tugging off his jacket. Tossing it to the side as the man now wore nothing but a sleeveless tank top of black. Revealing the intricate tattoos decorating his upper body, neck, back, chest, and arms. But primarily the bone armlet suddenly began to give off a sort of a crimson mist, almost like blood. The mist swirled before suddenly condensing and taking the shape of a tall humanoid male with crimson and black hair falling down to the center of his back in wild curls.
Long fangs matching Bengal's own glinted in the light as he was sent propelling himself through the air. Amber eyes watching the town and then glancing back toward the other two and offering a wide, wolfish grin in greeting. The kimono billowing about his frame as he easily kept pace with the trio, the crackle of Bengal's magic extending to him as well.
"Pleasure ta' meet ya' kids! I'm Chi! We'll be workin' together for just a bit!" The man cackled, before turning his gaze forward toward the rising town that grew closer to them rapidly due to their intense movement speeds.
"Tori, cha' need me ta' do?" The man inquired simply, causing Bengal to glance toward the man and grunt.
"I need you to map out the area and evacuate the civilians to get the fuck away from that tower. If I have to blow them up I don't want to deal with the knights bitching about deaths." Bengal spoke simply, causing the man to laugh once more before slamming his hands together. Amber eyes glowing red as crimson blood flowed from his fingertips and swirled, compressing into a map that suddenly covered the area around them. An entire small map of blood flowed through the air, with dozens of small red humanoid-like shapes of blood cowering inside their homes while others stumbled drunkenly in twisted patrols around the towers.
Chi's gaze shifted across them all, before grunting once and nodding his head. "Yeah, I can get the brats out of there. Leave it to me, Tori."
Bengal nodded his head once, lifting a hand up and patting the man's shoulder once, before he suddenly zipped off in a blur of speed as blue flames erupted around the tall man's body. His mana signature suddenly disappearing as he flickered from existence to begin the evacuation of the town. Bengal shifted his gaze back toward the two knights that were dashing along behind him.
"While Chi handles the evacuation I need you two to both handle the second and third towers. I'll handle the patrols without killing them, and then take the first tower. Make sure to plug your ears. You can't rely on your normal senses, and if you lose focus that spell will target you with an illusion." As Bengal explained this, the ringing continued to grow louder around them. His warning coming just in time, yet the man did not plug his own ears. Nor did he appear affected by it. Pupils dilating as his ki completely crushed the powers of the illusion before it could even begin to take hold.
Seeing through the threads of mana and intent of the spell with no effort at all. "Meet at the town center when you're done. If you aren't there in ten minutes I'll come looking for you. Take these for protection." As he stated this, he snapped. Causing two massive golems to burst into existence next to each of them, giving off howls of greeting. "Ride them if you wish. They'll be fast." With this, he stopped holding back his own speed before blitzing off. Disappearing in a blur of movement far faster than any normal spell could ever hope to reach.

“What the hell is that noise?” Chisana cursed as he neared Bengal, it was an annoying wailing that seemed to dig straight into his mind. It was a moment later that he noticed that it was trying to put him under some kind of illusion, if he hadn’t been trained in dealing with illusions he might have fallen under the spell quite easily but he was more then strong enough in his Sensory training that he could resist it just fine. Though from the sudden cries from the town it would seem that others were not quite as lucky. “Let me guess the spell is causing the townspeople to go crazy and also protect the source of the chiming?” Chisana thought to himself as he finally grouped up with Bengal, his guesses were confirmed by Bengal though it didn’t make him feel any better about having to go about this situation. They wouldn’t be able to destroy the towers that had mysteriously appeared more because someone would complain about the possible danger to the town and the people in said town. Even if we were to evacuate everyone some one somewhere would complain about it, it was the joy of having to deal with the pencil pushers of the kingdom.
Chisana nodded his head to bengal’s suggestion on what to do with their current predicament and watched as another person seemed to appear from thin air but had a personality unlike some cases when golems are made or even the more mysterious wraith magic. It was something that definitely piqued Chisana’s interest as it was a unique magic that he had a desire to research and study, but that would have to wait for another time it wasn’t worth getting obsessed with at the moment when he was in the middle of doing a job. They needed to figure out how to stop the noise and not harm the people, Chisana simply focused his magic around his ears to cancel out noise and proceeded to head to the 2nd tower as he would leave the others for the rest of the party and then would group up as instructed in the town center once he had completed his task. Nodding his head he hopped onto the golems that Bengal summoned and made his way to the tower, they had to dip and dash around the various groups of brainwashed villagers but it was an easy feat accomplished by keeping more to the top of the surrounding buildings and as they neared the tower Chisana had the golem climb the structure.
On top of his tower there was a bell that seemed to continuously chime without anyone being there and no creatures near it that would point to how it was being activated. So just taking things into his own hands both figuratively and literally he struck the bell with his gauntlets till it shattered, he couldn’t be sure if that had done the job but when he looked down at the ground level of the town he noticed that the villagers that had been around there had stumbled away and while disoriented didn’t seem to be as hostile as they were a moment ago. It looked like he was successful in taking care of the problem on this tower and made his way to meet up with his group as instructed, there wasn’t any reason to stick around and cause any issues. Chisana continued to use the Golem that Bengal had summoned to manuever around the town avoiding the still vast groups of brainwashed almost zombie like villagers though it did seem as if the groups were getting smaller now that he had taken out one of the bells that had been chiming that annoying spell out. “Alright only 3 more and then hopefully this stupid whatever will show itself and face us instead of constantly using the people against us. As much as I like the use of wits this is just boring and seems more like a spoiled child not getting their way.” Chisana muttered to himself as he arrived at the Town Center where they were suppose to be meeting up once they completed their task. He hoped the others weren’t having any major difficulties on their end and if they didn’t arrive in the allotted time he would just have to go out and search for them himself.

Flickering faster with each step, Satori's eyes narrowed as Chisana broke away as he'd asked. Grunting and shifting his gaze toward the various patrols of the neigh-undead creatures. Mana flowed along his hands before launching himself toward the first small group. Twelve total by the looks of things. Narrowing his eyes he flickered from one spot to the next, the first group of four rounded on him. Groaning and lifting their hands up, only to all suddenly topple over from the large man's hand hitting each atop their heads.
He had to be careful not to hurt them. They were just normal men and women in the end. Even if mana was twisting their minds, it wasn't enhancing them in any way. The next group was even easier to deal with as they didn't notice him coming, simply blitzing through them and knocking them unconscious. Focusing on his target with narrowed eyes each time, until they collapsed. Falling silent around him while he cracked his neck, they were easy to deal with at least. But he had to rely on his ki, the 'song' of the towers was fucking with his senses constantly.
It was fine since he'd been relying on his ki for so long, but it was still a pain. Closing his eyes and locating the final group of four, Satori blurred off to knock the remaining puppet-like citizens unconscious. Skidding to a halt and straightening before sighing and arching a brow at the remaining issues: the towers. Chi was evacuating the normal citizens, and even as he followed the ki around him he could detect the ones he'd knocked out being moved as well. If nothing else, even lacking in his true power, the man was effective when it came to what he needed.
"Right then," he mused, before opening both hands and sending his mana out in a torrent. What he needed to do now was locate these damn towers and start their work on them. Chisana had a solid head on his shoulders, he'd know what came next as long as they weren't idiotic about it. Launching upward, and beginning to race up the first of the towers, not even bothering with magic the man blurred forward. Dashing straight up the surface at high speeds as his hands opened and closed a few times briefly.
"Let's see how sturdy your stupid bells are, Mr. Tactician," Satori murmured, musing to himself more than anything as he slammed a hand into stone, cracking it under his bare fingers and using it to launch himself that much further forward. Forming small dents with each movement of his hands and feet.

With one of the towers taken care of and his arrival at the meeting place Chisana decided it was best to go target another tower. He might have misunderstood the original plan they probably were suppose to take out as many of the towers as possible before meeting up and then they would deal with whatever issues arise afterwards together. Taking this into account Chisana sped away towards the closest tower, luckily these towers were taller then the surrounding buildings so they were easy to pick out no matter where you were in the town. That was both a blessing and a curse in placement, while the taller they were the better the magic would be able to spread but it also meant that they would be easy to find and target by anyone that had the magic of ability to do so. Chisana was thinking that whatever or whoever was pulling the strings behind the current predictament might not be all that intelligent and just happen to have an impressive amount of power and to much time of their hands to use it however they fancy.
If it had been Chisana that had put this ploy together he would have used buildings that were already in the town to spread the magic so that it made it harder to be found and then he would make sure that those who defended the bells would spread out a bit more with whoever was stronger being near the bells. The people who surrounded the bells were a wide assortment of whoever was just unlucky enough to be near the tower when it was manifested. Also it seemed that no one was actually near the bell on top of the tower as Chisana noticed when he took out the other bell, that would be a line of defense that Chisana would use if this was his own plan. After all it is harder to attack a source of magic if you were worried about harming the citizens, got to use the kindness of humans against them if you were actually wanting to do anything worthwhile with ploys like this.
Just these simple changes to the current ploy that Chisana thought of as he dodged the rambling and wandering citizens turned zombies. Chisana did entertain the idea that maybe the mastermind was simply using this to lure whoever would be trying to fix and protect the city into a false sense of security. Though that was one of the few trains of thoughts that didn’t have any real evidence to back it up unlike the more likely situation of this just being something with to much time on their hands and to much power to know what to do with it and are acting on a whim while thinking themselves to be a master strategist. Even when he thought about how they used the Snowmen army that had been assaulting the town it seemed that Chisana’s original theory would be most likely. Using the same way of attack he used the golem to climb the tower quickly and without real issue, attacking with his gauntlets he dispatched another bell. It was strange to not be able to hear since he had used his magic to cover his ears, it was weirdly the best time for him to properly think about the current situation without having to be bothered by any noises he was sure the villagers were making. Chisana thought that he would need to use this same tactic when he arrived back at the Black Bull base to be able to study and research without issues of the rowdiness of the other members.
Deciding that he would now move onto the next tower he instead decided it was probably about time to go ahead and move back to the meeting place, having taken out two of the four bells himself he was sure that he could leave the others to Bengal. Though honestly he was sure if he didn’t do anything that Bengal would be able to complete this task all by himself but where was the fun in doing nothing while someone else does everything for you? Chisana has never been one that liked letting others do all the work unless it was part of his overall plan that they were working off of. If he wasn’t the mastermind of the orders and plans put forth then he needed to be apart of the workers that made whatever order or plan work out. After all he hadn’t quite reach a position where he didn’t need anyone else to help him complete his own goals, so he needed as many connections and bridges to others as possible for now.

Satori leapt from one location to the next, launching his way up the massive tower as his bare hands dug into the stone with ease. Suddenly appearing at the top of the bell tower as the ringing continued to assault his senses. His head slowly tilted to the side. Was this it? The illusion was potent enough but once you saw through it, the trick was neigh-unrelated. Bemused, his hand opened and suddenly grasped the Bell. Grip tightening, trying to crush it with his bare hand, but as always it was made from magic. Grunting, a brief flicker of mana filled his hand before his hand clenched. Suddenly crushing the entire bell effortlessly with a simple flare of his magic.
"Next," he mused, blinking as he felt another bell's ringing halt. Glancing back toward it and seeing Chisana, a chuckle filled his chest. What a go-getter guy. A grin split his lips as his hands rested on his hips.
"Well done," he murmured more to himself than anything before turning, and launching off the top of the building and rushing toward the next. It wouldn't take long to clear out the second tower, and while he worked he felt Chisana's own ki moving. So he was intending to target the next one as well, hm? Amused, mana poured through him before his own hands clenched. Another towers bell shattering before him as the sound of the ringing steadily halted. Viera had been working with the townfolk, so it was fine on that side of things.
Flickering down from the tower to land with a heavy thus, Satori straightened slightly and chacked for Chisana. Lifting a hand up idly with a sigh.
"Seems that the owner doesn't want to do this properly." He stated dryly. The air began to pick up, swirling around them both slowly as his brow furrowed. Mana was on the air, even with his abysmal sensory he could tell. Feeling the ki of something approaching through the sky caused a bemused sound to fill his chest. What was this, then?
"Chisana, how confident are you in your combat abilities without causing destruction to the area?" Satori inquired simply, head-turning toward the source of the mana and ki. Snowmen warriors and a large Reindeer of some sort was flashing toward them at pretty impressive speeds all things considered.
"I do believe we'll have a bit of a tussle here in the center of town, unfortunately," he stated with a dry tone.

The sound of bells had greatly diminished since they had started their onslaught against the towers, Chisana had dealt with 2 of the 4 towers and shortly after he had finished his half of the job, he noticed the sound lessen more and more until the bells were quiet. Chisana took this as a good sign that Bengal had been able to deal with the others, though Chisana did not doubt that he would be able to after all if Chisana was able to handle the bells on his own then the powerful Bengal would have no issue with this. It would be strange if the other mage would have an issue with such an easy task though this simple task was starting to get drawn out. What was the point of the attack against this village? Why was this the place that was selected? Though the more Chisana thought about it he was sure that it was just randomly selected and had no real reasoning behind the attacks against the innocent town. The entity that was hiding itself behind all these minor parlor tricks probably was not smart enough to rationally think its way out of a wet paper bag. It just solidified Chisana’s theory this was just something that had to much time on its hands and way too much power that it got bored and decided to lash out at someone and that someone this time was the town they were now at.
They returned to the appointed meeting place with the towers now taken care of and the villagers seemingly returning to normal though they did seem a bit disoriented. Which made sense, they had just been taken over under a somewhat strong illusion and most of them were not well trained in magic beyond simple day to day use. Chisana waved at Bengal and nodded his head with Bengal’s assessment on the thing behind all the trouble they were going through, though a moment later it seemed it was finally time to have to deal with said being. The air around them blew and raged and in the distance, it looked to be more snowmen and some overgrown reindeer that looked like it needed to be at home at some kind of dungeon in the far north. Even with Chisana’s training in Sensory he was having a hard time really figuring out just how many of the creatures were outside this raging storm. It seemed that the storm was infused with magic and that was never a fun time when it came to keeping track of enemies.
“Why can’t they just accept they have lost, and that they need to go back to whatever failed dungeon they came out of?” Chisana muttered to no one in particular he was simply voicing his own grievances with the current situation. Chisana listened to Bengal’s question on how confident he was with using magic that would not harm the local area and the young Shengxiao smiled. His magic mainly focused on using golems and his items to buff himself to move at a much higher speed then normal. Unless his golems were tossed into buildings, they would avoid unnecessary damage to the town, “Oh don’t worry about me, I’m generally a very environment friendly mage.” Chisana said with a smirk for he knew of quite a few mages that would rather be flashy and showy with their magic. Thinking that the larger the boom the better the result, Chisana tended think the opposite when it came to his magic use wanting to leave things as pristine as possible when it came to fighting anywhere. “Now let us see if this beast will be more of a challenge then its snow filled companions. Though for some reason I highly doubt they will offer a better fight then what we have already dealt with.” Chisana was not optimistic when it came to the prospect of a more demanding battle, but life was filled with a bunch of unknowns and surprises for those who looked hard enough or those who tempted the fates.
