Recently, people having been hearing strange music coming from the cliffs near Hapshass's shoreline, which has drawn in those that were either really drunk or really curious. It goes without saying that none of these people have made it back, leaving the civilians to wonder as to what might have happened, in turn leading relatives and friends to go out and search for them. When they also did not return, those that remained asked for help in figuring out what has happened and then dealing with this problem.

Hapshass was the place to be right now for some good honest work. Jin had to admit it was quite refreshing taking these more public requests for some good pay, rather than his usual work that required him to have two eyes in the back of his head at all times. This was another rescue mission, he had another one lined up as well. Jin honestly had no issues with rescue missions, sometimes they even paid better than the kill order ones. But it all depended on who needed the saving, unlike his other job this one didn't come from a crime boss. But rather a simple older noble woman, who wanted her son and daughter in law back in their estate safe and sound. Jin's connect had informed him about the job, and thought it would be a good idea to prepare for the much larger mission down the line. Which Jin the rogue had agreed.
Being given the information needed, Jin already had a solid idea of what this mission would entail. The white haired rogue was walking towards the cliffs of Hapshass's shoreline, where the sounds were reportedly heard that may have lead to people's capture. Jin knew he was to rescue two individuals in particular if he wanted to receive his pay. So protecting them had to take top priority over everything else, but there was also the task of eradicating the threat responsible for these capturing acts. There was a chance that it could be a long night, even though his objective was to go in get the target and get out. So for this Jin made sure he was prepared for combat, he brand not only his two favorite daggers 'Life's Breath' and 'Karasu' but he also wrapped up the light spear 'The Dawnbringer' in a some brown coverings and rested it on his shoulder.
The rogue was looking out in the distance planning his method of approach for the slaver's camp. Did he want to go in using his stealth, or was he in the mood to go in just attacking. There was a couple of ways he could approach this, he just had to decide how. He was crouched down with his hand on his chin thinking of a plan. But he was getting the feeling of someone or more approaching the area.

[attr=class, bulk] After several lackluster missions being completed with little difficulty, Hinokami felt happy. In a way. Though the understanding that his duties came first and his emotions second, it was still tremendously hard to hide the fact he still felt empty. Hino had already realized that in order for those dreams and aspirations that he so rightly desired, he'd need to gain the trust and fellowship of those he'd swore to protect. Realistically speaking, he needed to do something memorable enough that would solidify his words with the world. Staring down at the captivating world below with a look of solemnity plastered across his face, Hino began to wonder just what form of malevolence would so happily endanger these innocent citizens. The aged broom keeping his stance solid in the air as he stood upon it. Reaching within the confines of his blazer pocket, he pulled out a four-time fold piece of paper beginning to recollect the vital bits of information before they were fully revealed. [break][break] Fast unseen winds blew across the boy in a strong, steady stream hurtling numerous hair strands as they passed. Hinokami actually enjoyed this form of transportation over most other constructs or animals, due to the fact he felt truly and utterly free akin to a bird is how he'd often describe the feeling. The bustling sounds of the port Hapshass was known for slowly started to fade, the gargantuan body of water now coming into view alerted Hino to the potential danger he may have to face. People being somehow lured into the cliffs didn't make any sense at all, a few lone thoughts deduced that it had to have been some sort of sound mage. But then that quickly subsided as he couldn't figure out a logical motive. So that left the supposed enemy or enemies still unknown, a fact that irked him all over. Within his eyeline he could start to make out the large jagged formations of the cliffs that were mentioned in the brief. Prior to his departure to Hapshass he was alerted to the addition of wizard to the job he got assigned, a Royal Knight by the name of Verena Reinsberg. Being mostly a solo worker Hinokami was open to the prospect of having a partner, hopefully with the group's added skill-sets they'd be able to unmask the perpetrators and bring the lost villagers back home safe and sound. [break][break] Within moments the Kasai child had honed in on the cliff structure, spotting a figure that appeared to be hunched over something. Stark white hair was the prominent feature belonging to said person who Hinokami had sighted from his vantage point up in the skies. The air pressure suddenly declined as he made his descent, the winds whistling their sweet tunes motivated him somewhat in this great crusade. Not bothering to mask his mana signature, the lion cub jumped off of the broom twirling around in the air and landing onto the solid earthen ground a few meters away from the white haired man. "Hey, are you the Knight I was supposed to be waiting for? And what do you think could be the cause of all these "takings"." Hinokami barely gave the man a chance to answer the first question before firing off another, his voice coming out calm yet with a tone of haste to it. "I think it's best we waste no time and move to conquer the enemy. I don't trust there tactics as is, nonetheless we-" Hino stopped his stoic sentence to analyze his newfound ally, a few quick glances brought back the absence of a knightly mantle. This didn't click into place properly as Hino sighed and folded his arms. Just who this man was came as another mystery added to the pot already brewing. Just where was the real Royal Knight anyways? It was unfortunate that Hinokami wasn't made aware of most of if not all of the Knights in that sector, perhaps he wouldn't have been in this confusion. The incoming flush of the waves below crashed about loudly, engulfing the rugged rocks that had seemingly risen up from the watery depths.

What pleasant memories Hapshass brought to the brunette. It was here where she met Suna, after all. She came here often to read books. The Grand Library was, after all, a place far too big for her under normal circumstances. Too many nobles, too many important people. It was too scary for her to visit for years. Only recently was she starting to get over that fear. Now, if only she was here in town for such a noble reason...[break][break]
Verena had gotten word about the disappearing people in the city and the strange music near the shoreline. Immediately she requested permission from Lydia to partake in this, feeling it a good chance to also test just how far she had come. As there was preparation to take on the Abyssal Seat, Verena had crafted a golem in preparation for that, but given that the primary point of interest involved the shoreline, it was very possible she may need to rely on that if necessary.[break][break]
Verena was patrolling the town in her usual garbs. Her glasses were adorned upon her face, but so was the ring given to her through Lydia's adoptive brother, Hania Ravencrest. And of course, she also possessed the mark on her right hand. Her white coat hid her body from the world, with its intricate designs, though her usual black dress and jumpsuit were present. The bottoms of her boots could be seen, though not too much about her person was visible beyond her long, brown hair tied into twin tails.[break][break]
The first order of business was trying to collect more information about the situation. She knew that people were disappearing, and that strange sounds could be heard from the shoreline, but that wasn't enough to go on. For starters, was there any specific instance across the shore? Haphsass, bordering on the ocean, naturally had plenty of shore to cover, which meant that being able to pin down any noticeable location would be ideal.[break][break]
Secondly, she wanted to see if there was anything in common between the missing people. It was unlikely, but if there was, the number of culprits that could be responsible would be narrowed down. She tried asking all sorts of questions, but ultimately there was no common link. Unfortunate, but she did at least get an idea of where the music was supposedly thought to be heard.[break][break]
With that information, it was much easier to go gather clues, and so the brunette made her way down to the shoreline-- specifically, near the cliffs. She was to be working alongside one of the Magic Knights, and she assumed that he would be there first given she still needed to get more information on the matter. But when she did near, a silver-haired man in dark clothing stood next to the figure in the Crimson Lion Mantle. Curious. Possibly a Silva, but no way to know for sure. No Silva would dress so suspiciously, at least.[break][break]
Verena did not have a mantle to wear, but her appearance was pretty distinctive given she was in her most commonly known look, and given the exchange, the Kasai would have likely been made aware of her appearance before. Verena eyed the silver-haired man with some level of curiosity. "...Are you here to help?" she asked the man flatly.[break][break]
Verena's sensory prowess was low, but she could tell that she was the strongest person here in terms of raw mana given how close they were. She made sure to keep a low profile given the camp ahead. She assumed that was where things were likely to be. Still, her tone was quite indicative of what would happen if he wasn't: she would detain him.[break][break]
Verena had little problem with assistance on the matter, but given the information she had managed to acquire before coming here, it was a pretty serious manner. The last thing she heard was that people were being captured alive. That never boded well, and so she was quite adamant in making sure this went over as smoothly as possible.[break][break]
Assuming Jin answered and there was nothing about his body language that tipped her off, Verena took a deep breath -- a sigh of relief. "...Before we begin, I'd like to familiarize myself with everyone's magic so a plan can be hashed out," she said, her tone quite serious. "I'm Verena Reinsberg. I utilize Summoner Magic as well as Carbon Matter magic. I specialize in golemancy. I'd appreciate you two doing the same."
She made sure that she wasn't visible, and the group was far back enough where they didn't need to worry about being sensed from the camp ahead. Every time she spoke, she made sure that it was only audible to these two and wouldn't be heard.

"Mmm." A soft hum left his mouth as his sensory and instinct was correct, there was someone approaching him. While this fact didn't annoy him particularly, it wasn't the greatest of news either. He much rather take this job on alone, so he can be his free self. But that was the problem with public civilian jobs, nine times out of ten you were going to be working with someone. So his character of Jun the simple sell sword had to continue a little longer. The rogue kept his same position though getting a outline of the enemies camp.
The particular someone flew in on a broom, dressed in a Crimson Lion mantle and magic knight outfitting. He landed just a few meters away and immediately asked a question if he was the night he was supposed to be waiting for. Which let Jin know that there would be another joining them shortly, welp if he was going to be working with two knights he might as well just get used to it. Jin stood up and swung his wrapped up spear over his shoulder and rested it their, turning to face the the young Crimson Lion with a smile on his face. "No can't say I'm any kind of knight. Just a sell sword that's been tasked with rescuing some captured villagers." he replied to the magic knight. Now getting a good look at him, he was a bit shorter and had some focused amber colored eyes with brown hair to match. "As for what I think, there have been reports of strange fish like or serpent like figures taking some poor folk around town. That's my guess, but you never know. The use of music makes it even weirder." Jin said looking back over the location.
The magic knight was eager to move on though as he started to state they best move quickly and take care of the enemy. Jin couldn't disagree with that logic but there was a sharp stop to the Crimson Lions sentence that was followed up with him crossing his arms. Perhaps the fact that Jin was not the knight he was looking for spooked him, and caused him to think on it a little more.
But before Jin could speak, the other knight appeared and it was none other than Verena Reinsberg. Verena was another up and coming mage, who was recently selected as one of the new Royal Knights for the kingdom. Her rise to fame was recent, but Jin would be a fool to not know who she was. When it came to famous mages and knights, Jin made it one of his priorities to know who they were. In his line of business that information and knowledge is what kept you alive. He'd been running into quite a few notable and powerful mages lately. Because of this he knew the Crimson Lion was relatively new, did this not mean he was inexperienced. But for magic knights fame followed them around like a moth to a flame. The fact that the young lion didn't have any, could only mean he was rather new to all of this. But that was Jin's guess, and he learned to never bet anything on a simple guess.
"I am!" Jin answered her simple question with a bright smile on his face. He had the face of a young man that was eager to get to work. "And you must be the knight he's looking for." Jin continued gesturing to the magic knight. "Verena Reinsberg! The Elemental Heiress! It is an honor to meet you." Jin took a slight bow to pay his respects the women, and then turned to the other knight and nodded the same. "It will be an honor to work with you as well. Ive heard the Crimson Lions are as efficient as they are fiery!" the rogue added. And he meant every word he said, when it came to magic knights, or the royal knights even members of the church, Jin held no disdain towards them. Of course he had opinions like anyone else, but he didn't base his entire judgement on the whole because of the actions of a few. He saw the system of the magic knights flawed, but that didn't mean it's individual members were the same.
Truth be told Jin was taught to kill no matter what mantle they have on or where they come from. Knights have fell from his hand, so have church members, and civilians and other rogues. At the end of the day they were all but one thing and one thing only, a target. A means to an end. Nothing personal about it. But he did respect powerful mages when he came across one, and today Verena Reinsberg was one of them.
But she did end up asking about one of Jin's biggest annoyances. The type of magic he used. The white haired rogue did not like to be public with his use of magic and liked to avoid it if possible. His element of void was extremely rare and just as dangerous, the only time he let others see him use it was when they were dying a few moments later. Or when he had their complete trust which was only a very small handful of people. Most people thought extremely rare elements and four leaf clovers were a blessing from the gods. Jin's mother taught him otherwise his element could make him a big target. He was probably the only one in the world with the ability to manipulate void energy and command the void itself. To potentially erase things from existence all together, though he wasn't capable of this yet he would be in time. But his element would get him noticed and remembered and that lead to capture or death, two things he did not want and could not afford. So now he had to take a risk.
"My element is nothing worthy of note, I can't really use it well. My magic control is rather poor. Thats why i'm reliant on this spear." Jin said holding the wrapped spear out with his right hand. "It uses the element of light, and it was a gift. With it I can use quite a few attacking spells and some healing as well. I will not be a burden to either of you. That I can assure you." Jin said hoping and believing his answer would suffice. Situations like this were always tricky, and he already knew him being nervous would make it worse. So when he spoke there wasn't a hint of nervousness in his voice, just confidence

It was surprising that before things could get underway, the member of House Kasai had to leave. Evidently, there was some sort of emergency given his hurry. What it was, she didn't have time to worry about. However, she was still fairly sure she could handle this situation on her own -- of course, she wasn't alone. Her eyes returned to the unknown figure.[break][break]
The brunette was somewhat surprised that he recognized her. While she knew she shouldn't be so surprised, it was still always strange to be known. Verena wasn't exactly a fan of fame, but she ultimately knew it was important. The more fame and influence she had, the more she could use that to pressure her family into accepting her and force them to stop arguing amongst themselves.[break][break]
"With Hinokami's absence, a slight alteration is due. I'd rather not underestimate their ranks in case they take hostages," Verena said, glaring ahead towards the camp.[break][break]
Jin's explanation was surprising to her. The fact he had an elemental spear of light, yet dismissed his own element as nothing worthy. Not being able to utilize his magic due to poor control was incredibly surprising. Not completely uncommon for commoners and the like, which dismissed the idea that he was a Silva entirely. But what was most surprising was his lack of a name when given an introduction.[break][break]
"You'll have to introduce me to the maker of that Light spear at some point. I'm looking to make a sword for a dear friend of mine's fiance," she said, choosing not to bring up what was on her mind.[break][break]
Right now, whatever grievances she might have with the young man weren't important. Whether he was deliberately hiding his name or simply rude was second to the safety of these people. And a plan was important to have for that. "In any case, that works just as well. For the first matter of business, I'd like to draw their attention away from the captured civilians. The further away they are from them, the less risk that comes to the people when inevitably combat ensues. Just as important as the civilians' safety, however, is information. We need to incapacitate them and find out more about this operation," she said, her attention back on Jin.[break][break]
"Here's the plan. You'll use your spear to emit a flash of light to catch their attention. It likely won't draw them all, but maybe one or two will show up. When that happens, I'll incapacitate them. At which point, I need you to ensure that whatever we reel in stays incapacitated -- if you have to, impale their legs to prevent movement. If you're skilled with a spear, make sure you avoid an artery; less you'll need to heal them quickly. I'll conjure a golem to fly over into their territory and will handle the rest. I'll bring them back, and get our information,"[break][break]
"Your spear may not be able to reach them from this distance, but it's still bright, and we have the advantage of night. It's going to catch their attention even if we're quite a bit away. Given the operation, they can't afford to ignore it," she said as a reminder. "If this isn't an issue, I'd ask you to start immediately."

"Understood." Jin replied to her comments about having a slight alteration with Hinokami's absence. Right now wasn't the best time to dive into details on why the Crimson Lion knight had to leave, it just simply was this way now and they had to adapt to it. Adapting to plans and scenarios on the fly was normal for Jin, in his world things rarely ever went as planned.
"Oh. A sword for a dear friend, using light too. Must be a close friend." Jin said after hearing her comments, now of course in his mind he would have to find or think of a place where she could find a maker. For the ones that he stole the spear from would likely be upset it was now missing. At least he was still alive. But then at this moment Jin had realized something, his introduction was lacking the most important thing. A name. Jin's face didn't change at all to represent what was going on his mind, he simply would have to find a way to drop his name in at a later time.
He listened carefully to her plan, and he had to admit it was a good one. It would allow to separate some of the enemies from the hostages, which was the most important thing. And it would allow them to gather any further information they would need. "If a few head over, don't worry about incapacitating them I can handle that." Jin had no issues with this plan and nodded along with it, he started to unwrap the spear from it's covering. "Ready when you are." he said to her getting into position.
When given the proper signal Jin would activate the ability of his spear, "Heaven Piercer." causing it to be encased in a massive amount of light, turning it into a titanic lance purely formed of light magic that is 10 meters in length that was now held up into the air. Hopefully this was what they needed to get some of that attention. After some time though Jin noticed not just one or two but three things approaching his location by water and coming in fast. "Mmhhmmm just keep following the light." Seemed like the summoner's plan was working, Jin waited for the right time before going on the offensive by now they already had seen that he was a potential threat. So as soon as they were close enough they immediately just fall into attack, he just had to do so before they did.
The first Serpent Slaver jumped from the waters to pounce towards Jin with it's own spear made of metal and wood. But Jin's weapon with it's 'Heaven Piercer' ability had it beat in overall length. So he simply swung the large weapon down landing a deep slash on it's serpentine lower body, taking it out careful enough not to kill it though. Now getting a good look at these serpents, Jin was taken aback by their appearance for a second. He's seen quite a few mana beasts, but none like this. Now the other two made their way to the surface, and without wasting a beat. Jin activated another spell from his spear. "Infinite Light Rain." summoning just two blade of light and commanding them to also pierce the lower bodies of the two serpents taking them down as well with little effort. Leaving them alive and incapable of running or swimming away.
"Well that was...boring." Jin said to himself. Then looked towards the summoner if she was still around. "I guess the rest is up to you then."
The spear is encased in a massive amount of light, turning it into a titanic lance purely formed of light magic that is 10 meters in length, sending a shining light across the user and healing their wounds. The lance can be used to deal massive damage to enemies or heal allies as well.

Verena shook her head. "No, it would use my magic. The issue is finding a smith who can forge a sword using my magic," Verena said, sighing. It'd been an exhausting affair so far.[break][break]
"It's a wedding gift. I plan on creating a ring for the bride, and her fiance has a love of swords. The ring is something simple enough; I can create that much," she explained. "Both are very good people. I wish them a great deal of happiness in the future."[break][break]
Verena's brow raised when Jin said that he was going to be able to incapacitate them himself. Though she wanted to believe him and move on herself, she wouldn't just let a civilian by themself. She wanted to be sure in case things went sour. Thankfully, her magic was one that would allow her to protect him in case things did go wrong, and she was hyper-vigilant. But if he was a capable fighter, then it would save her a world of trouble going forward.[break][break]
"Begin" Verena said as she kept her eyes vigilant ahead.[break][break]
It wasn't too long before Verena was able to see something in the distance, though vaguely. Creatures of some kind were approaching. As she thought, they were close enough to the camp that this couldn't be ignored. Even if they might have suspected it to be some sort of ambush, by only sending one or two to investigate the source of whatever that strange light was given time to the others to be able to properly retaliate if things did go sour.[break][break]
These sea-serpent creatures were surprising. They were capable of existing both in water and on land, given their ambush. That gave them an excellent tactical advantage for the purpose of ambushing. She was a little worried for the sake of Jin, but he responded with excellent precision. His was a skill that drastically put him above the average citizen. Very curious. She could tell that he had some level of training -- a normal civilian wouldn't have had that, so he must have been some sort of mercenary like Hans, or perhaps he was more like her and was simply a wandering do-gooder. But now was hardly the time to bring it up.[break][break]
The two creatures were easily disposed of through his spear work, but Verena didn't bother praising him. From the moment he used Heaven Piercer offensively, Verena was already flying towards the slave camps, afraid that the movement of the light might tip them off that combat was happening and that they had been found. Before flying off, she declared, "Summoner Creaton Magic: Sonia", her fastest golem, making a beeline for the outpost.[break][break]
Sonia cast the distance in no time at all, relaying to Verena information about what it was seeing. Cages. People. Serpentine creatures. All very good. "Force all of the sea serpentine creatures together" Verena ordered through that mana link that defined them. "Once they're together, render them all immobile. Aim for their legs. Do not kill them. None of them."[break][break]
Sonia moved in such a way that the remaining serpents weren't able to retreat into the waters. Neither the Slaver nor the Slavemaster had much of a chance as it cornered them right into the center of the outpost allowing Verena to freely use one more spell. "Carbon Magic: Saint's Dome," she declared once she had enough space to cast the spell. The sea-serpents were trapped in there alongside Sonia, who was able to strike at their legs, easily felling the Slaver, though the Slavemaster, who was armed with a crude polearm. However...[break][break]
It didn't even so much as phase Sonia, who nearly tore its leg off just through sheer difference in ability. Both Slaver and Slavemaster had sustained enough damage to their legs that rendered them incapable of moving, and when Verena was able to tell that much had been done, she lifted the dome, landing just in time for it all to happen.[break][break]
"Sonia, go get our companion," Verena told her golem as she waited on it to bring Jin back.

Tired of her own inability to fly, as well as seeking the freedom that came with experiencing that sort of rush of mobility in the Dungeon with Bengal, the heiress went to work on crafting a new type of golem, unlike any other she had so far.[break][break]It possesses an impressive wingspan that's roughly equal in size to its height, and if being used for transportation, then it can carry up to two people; however, its speed is decreased to 10m/s if it is being used in such a manner. In addition, she can make additional Kikka for every 30 [CON] she has, maxing out at a total of 4 additional golems to summon.[break][break]Though she still believes the human form to be more ideal for the purpose of crafting golems, this looks like a perfectly ordinary bird made from the purest of white cloth. Just... an exceptionally large bird. Without a beak. And talons that are surprisingly ...unsharp. Instead, the feet look more like... human hands, made from the same color that matches the face in terms of the color of cloth. Also, it lacks a beak; instead, it possesses an eerily resemblance to a human face, sewed on with large blue eyes so as to stare seemingly right into a person's soul. The color of the cloth used to replicate the face is very similar to Verena's own skin color.[break][break]When used for offensive purposes, Kikka's most notable approach to dealing with things involves using its feet(?) to pick up adversaries, then toss them or drop them, depending on how heavy they are. It also possesses a nasty headbutt. Both instances deal intermediate levels of damage.[break]
Element: Sound[break]Rank: Senior[break]Size: Up to 3m[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Type of Golem: Scout[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Ranged Golems, Fierce Golems[break]Description: Upon saying the spells name, a musical skeleton appears. Verena's newest sound golem is, for all intents and purposes, the culmination of what she has been trying to achieve. With excellent sensory skills that far outperform any of her current golems and their incredible speed, Sonia golems represent her first new type of golem: Scout golems.[break][break]Sonia golems take the form of a human skeleton; however there are many differences in the anatomy--rather, instead of bone, various types of metals make up its bones, but all ultimately make up a variety of instruments. The skull is covered in a hard material that offers enhanced protection, but brass encompasses most of it, and piano keys make up its teeth. Inside its mouth is a large sound amplifier that is connected to a large brass pipe that functions as a spine.[break][break]The golems 'ribs' are made up of a variety of pipes and Sonia's shoulders have cymbals protruding them ever so slightly like shoulder spaulders. The sternum looks like a series of clarinets melded together against the pipes, though the topmost pipes connect into these clarinets. Sonia's arms are made up of batons, and its hands are made up of smaller cymbals. Attached to these cymbals are instruments are known as dords.[break][break]Where a stomach would be exists a large drum protected by a series of steel pipes connected. Similar to Sonia's arms, the legs are made up musical batons, with knees that look like very small cymbals as well. Furthermore, it possesses feet that look cymbals and dord-like toes again.[break][break]These golems are incapable of being rid upon, but for every 50 [CON], Verena is capable of summoning an additional Sonia. In addition, these golems are capable of unleashing a sound wave that can reach up to [140m] from Verena's current position relative to their own. In other words, if they are [70m] from Verena, this sound wave is only capable of reaching up to seventy meters from their own position. This sound does not hurt Verena. However, anyone within [20m] will suffer [Intermediate] damage due to the area-of-effect nature of this spell, and these sounds travel at [20m/s].[break][break]Doing so grants the caster awareness of mana signatures nearby. However, this does not allow them to differentiate friend from foe. It does, however, allow them to figure out humans from animals, mana beasts, and other non-human entities (elven and dwarven characters still count as human). This 'scream' implants images in the user's head in a manner similar to echolocation, shaping outlines of the landscape and sending them back to the user. This is solely limited to entities that are not hiding their mana in some way. What the caster does with that information is entirely up to them.[break][break]Due to this ability, these golems are the ideal scouts. With superior range, sensory prowess and speed, information gathering is a breeze when it comes to dealing with her surroundings.[break]
Elemental Type: Carbon[break]Rank & Spell Type: Senior | Defense Creation, Restraining[break]Range & Speed: 80m, 40m/s[break]Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break]Stats Effected: +9 DUR, -15 Mana Regen[break]Applicable Perks: Sapping Bonds, Juggernaut, Hazardous Shield[break]Description: Upon saying the spells name, the user creates a dome that is 2x5x3 cubic meters in size made of carbon that surrounds the user completely and any within range. Because of this, it is especially reinforced enough to where it can withstand quite a bit of damage -- up to Grand. Melee attacks against this Dome are met with backlash due to the density of this shield, and will sustain [Intermediate] damage in the process.[break][break]Similarly to Survival Instincts, the user is also capable of casting chains from this dome made from carbon. These chains do not cause direct harm and are launched in a completely singular manner. They do not bind movement and instead simply aim to pierce their target, at which point they phase into their body and directly attack their mana and mana regeneration, draining ten mana per post and restoring 5 mana per person who has been affected by this (only once each). These chains can sustain up to [Senior] damage and move at 40m/s, reaching up to 80m as well. For every 50 [CON] a user has, they can create an additional chain.
As soon as Jin took to his offense using his spears spells the summoner was already on her way to the site. The word about Verena Reinsberg was that her summons were second to none and she was a newly appointed mage from the Golden Dawn, not only that but she also was a member of the elite squad the Royal Knights. So to Jin this meant she was very capable and very strong on her own. From the little interaction they just had, he could tell she was smart and a strategist. She was someone who thought before they acted, and even when engaging did so with a solid number of plans in mind. This all meant to him that he had to be careful.
Like her plan he was successful in drawing just a few of these creatures to him, he dispatched them and left them alive also as apart of her plan. If he was alone he would have probably killed all of them and left two alive to interrogate, but magic knights had a different mindset. At least some magic knights did, he had met others in the past that seemed to enjoy taking the lives of others creatures. For Jin he didn't enjoy it nor dislike it, it was simply a matter of choice to him. Taking the lives of other people, and creatures meant little to him. If the mission was to leave none alive he would simply follow that order, but this wasn't one of those missions.
He did have other objectives he had to accomplish though, now was time for the interrogation. "I need one of you to tell me where the civilians are, if it is a camp the direction it's in and what to expect when I get there?" The was more information needed on the whereabouts of the others civilians that were captured, and Jin planned on getting that information by any means. None of the serpents answered his question.
The white haired rogue stabbed his light spear into the ground to free up his hands. His vibrant blue eyes shifting between each of the three serpents that were hurt and lying on the ground, one of them managed to grab hold of it's spear and was dragging it's body to get closer to Jin in order to stab him. But it's condition and strength were much to poor to cause any immediate threat to him. Before it got to it's position, Jin was standing over it and pressed his left foot on it's hand holding the spear crushing it with a little force. "I guess we'll start with you." applying more force to his foot he started the hear the bones in the serpents hand snap causing the creature immense pain.
"You will not kill uussss, your with the knightsss." One of the other serpents said in a sharp tongue. Causing Jin to release his foot and look over to it with his face slightly surprised. "Heh. Is that what you think?" one light chuckle left his lips. The idea of him actually being a magic knight made him chuckle a few times whenever it came up in times like this. In a normal situation at this point Jin would have just killed it with a void spell at the snap of his fingers, but with the Elemental Heiress around he couldn't take that chance and risk her finding out. But there was no need for death this time around when there was words and other ways of influence.
Reaching behind him under his black jacket was two daggers strapped to his lower back, he grabbed the one that was a more curved and decorative. The gift he received from Aeila, a quick thought on having to gift her a weapon as well entered his mind. He spun the dagger masterfully in between his fingers, looking at the serpent that spoke. But his face was noticeably much colder and serious then before, it was not the face of any respectable magic knight.
"Do you believe no magic knights are capable of killing?" he asked but received no answer just stares. "If that is the case I would suggest you start to think differently, magic knights are the number one murderers in the entire world." Jin started to walk closer to the serpent spinning his dagger still. "Did you know that the average magic knight has probably killed hundreds of living creatures just like yourself. And that's the lower ranked ones, the ones in the higher ranks are most definitely in the thousands after some time." Jin continued now standing over the serpent.
His light swords made by his spear were still active and now hovering over the other two serpents, just in case they made any sudden moves. "Let me tell you something very important. A magic knight does not value your life over the lives of any human beings, especially innocent ones. They would tear you limb from limb in order to get what they want. Do you honestly believe I won't do the same?" The serpent gulped it's eyes now filled with fear as Jin had his dagger to it's throat and the light blades over the heads of the other serpents. Jin bent down a little lower to whisper. "By the way I'm no magic knight." the serpent felt a quick but strong push from the dagger at it's throat.
"Up North! There iisss another camp up north, where the otherrrsss are. You will find them there, and our queen."
With that Jin quickly jolted up and removed the dagger from it's throat, just a thin drop of blood ran down it's neck. The rogue having a big smile on his face, he always did enjoy when one of his interrogations went well and this one was much less bloodier than from the past. "See friends that wasn't so hard!" Jin twirled his dagger once more before placing it back in it's holster on his lower back. Right after that a weird looking magical golem greeted him with gestures to follow it, using his common sense it was probably Verena's golem to bring him over. "Oh what perfect timing. You must be from Verena." The rogue walking over to grab his spear from the ground.
"Our queen will kill all of you! You will not survive her or what sssshe hassss planned for you humanssss!" The serpent shouted at Jin as he followed the golem to Verena's location. The rogue simply gave the serpent a wave as he walked away thinking again if this were normal circumstances all three of them would have been dead by now. But the mission was always more important, and right now he needed no reason for the Elemental Heiress to question him. Her trust was much more important than the lives of some sea creatures.
After a while Jin had arrived at the summoner's location, seeing the work she had done the rumors about her were true. She had a multitude of golems at her back and call and Jin figured this was nowhere near all of them or her most powerful ones. Once he saw her he went into a light jog with a big smile on his face. "I got the location! If you haven't gotten it already, you probably did but. The serpents from earlier said another camp was up north where they are holding the other hostages. They also mentioned a queen. A leader perhaps that's in charge of the whole thing. I believe we should go and quickly!" Jin said to her with a look of slight panic on his face.
The user summons a sword made of pure light, and anyone within 10 meters of this sword will have their wounds healed. This sword can also be manipulated by the user for offensive purposes, or to attack enemies in general. More swords can be created based on the user's control. These swords being tethered to the user means that they can be used to shield against attacks, heal the user and/or allies, as well as be sent in waves for offensive attacks.

While Verena was easily able to fell the two Serpents that had been in the camp, she thought something was off. They had sent three to the scene where Jin had been, correct? That meant there had been a total of five enemies. Yet they had sent over half to investigate the scene. No matter how she thought about it, that was strategically unsound. Were they just stupid then? It was a possibility, but she didn't want to miss something due to her downplaying them. They were still tricking and abducting others. They were clearly intelligent in some areas.[break][break]
Jin arrived with Sonia, her golem serving as an escort. Truthfully, she was glad that she had summoned Sonia. Through Sonia, it was much easier to know about Jin's safety, something that was just as prudent in this situation as ensuring the survival of the civilians. While Sonia was transporting Jin, Verena took a different route as she rifled through the immobilized bodies of the two serpents. They attempted to fight back, of course, but she used Kikka to impose its weight upon their skulls, keeping them from doing much.[break][break]
"Aha, here we go," she said as she found a key.[break][break]
Verena went to each cage, unlocking them all to free the prisoners. As she did so, she asked if any knew about the plans of these serpents. Unfortunately, none of them did so. As she feared, it was difficult trying to understand them. She had the same issue when they were cursing her out a bit ago. Or at least, given their tones, she assumed as such. They spoke in hisses, and though it was clear they had an understanding of Cloverian tongue, their broken language made it much harder for her to understand.[break][break]
Regretfully, she was back to square one. A fact she wasn't happy to admit. But what was important was that she had managed to free the prisoners here, and that was good. More importantly, when Sonia regrouped with Jin, she hadn't just confirmed he was alive, but he wasn't injured as far as she could tell. It let her worry about what the next move was going to be, as well as contemplate if she should bring a mage who couldn't use magic well with her in the future.[break][break]
While she was in thought, Jin returned alongside Sonia, allowing her to comfortably dismiss them both while she called upon two heavy earth golems -- Wilhelm -- to pin the two serpents to the ground. Each towered over Jin, Verena, and the serpents here at a terrifying eight meters tall, allowing them to easily keep the severely injured serpents down with minimal to no issue. She was careful to not have them pour their entire weight onto these creatures, however.[break][break]
Jin hurriedly explained what the situation at large was, saying there was another camp to the north. There, other hostages were being held, and of course, there was a queen, a ruler of some sort. Verena rubbed her temples, sighing. "I see. Yes, they're going to make this complicated. Let's hurry then. Though, first..." she said, before looking to the injured serpents.[break][break]
"I, unfortunately, don't have the means to restrain you to ensure you don't cause more problems," she said. "Nor am I capable of understanding you all that well. Clover's prison system also doesn't apply to non-humans as well. So what am I to do with you..." she mused, her expression turning solemn.[break][break]
"...I'll permit your lives for now, but if you ever start causing harm again, I will not hesitate in killing you," she said, before going to the tails of the serpents. "May I see your spear for just a moment?" she asked.[break][break]
If Jin agreed, Verena carved into the tails, effectively branding them so that they would be easily recognizable in the future. "This is me showing kindness. Do not test that kindness," she said, her expression quite grim as she stared right into the eyes of both sea creatures. Her tone was slow, enough for both to understand.[break][break]
There wasn't a single species that desired death, and both of these creatures wouldn't have been any different. When it came to life or death, animal species were much easier to deal with than humans. Not that she blamed them. As one who was faced with her own mortality every day, she would happily choose life over death -- just as long as it didn't mean sacrificing someone else, in the process.[break][break]
Element: Earth[break]Rank: Intermediate[break]Size: 8m[break]Mana Cost: 20 | 10[break]Type of Golem: Guardian[break]Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Reinforced Golems, Fierce Golems[break]Description: Upon saying the name of the spell, a cyclops-like golem appears. Wilhelm's name is taken from one of Clover's predominant Noble Families, named after their affinity for earth-related magic. It takes the form of a massive bipedal eight-meter tall giant made of solid rock and dirt. It has a single yellow eye with a matching yellow heart-shaped design located on the left part of it's chest.[break][break]The golem is capable of transporting up to two people at a time, though no speed loss occurs due to the lower speed it moves at compared to the 10m/s listed. Instead, it just moves at the standard six meters a second as listed. In addition, it receives a +1 to [DUR] as a result of Summoner bonus.[break][break]The golem has no real notable features about it other than it's size and durability and is in many ways similar to Verena's Gaia. However, its massive size offers it more range, as the giant bulking arms are nearly as tall as it itself is, increasing its range of attack to being seven meters. In addition, Wilhelm is far more powerful; a blow from its fists deal intermediate damage and are capable of sending opponents flying four meters, plus an additional five for every 10 [POW] it possesses.[break][break]For every 30 [CON], Verena is capable of summoning an additional Wilhelm, though it is largely just kept at one as a result of its massive size. Its fists when clenched are almost the size of the average fully grown man, just being a little shy of two meters. It may not be the most versatile, but it is effective all the same.[break]
