It wasn't as though Satori intended to interfere, but the difference in power between the Daemoness and Valo appeared more extensive than he'd anticipated. Idly tilting his head to the side, he released a slow breath before sparks flickered between his fingertips and suddenly the spells that had been enhancing Valo and himself doubled in power. The enhancements would greatly augment Valo's destructive potential and speed. It should be enough to help him push past the barrier that had formed due to the difference in power.
The words from their little exchange did little for Satori, whom was distanced from most of this. Instead, his gaze drifted to the side toward the darkness that surrounded them. June had moved toward the other group. A slow breath passed between his lips, he trusted his love, but this was all a bit of a mess. For now he wouldn't act, but there was no doubt in his mind that the peace wouldn't last for long. Hopefully, Valo would end this and he could go search for his love.
He knew the direction she went at least. It would give him options even with this darkness lingering to hinder his ki senses.

"When you spend so long trapped in darkness, you find that the darkness begins to stare back."
Hans took his attention away from the sealed door and looked over at Genesis, seeing as she conjured up one of her shadow spells. It appears that she formed a map spell to get a look around the area which was a good call. "He seems to be a bit possessive of that birdcage." Hans answered the redhead's question before looking over at the door once more. "Whatever it is, it's important to him." He added...but his guess on the importance of it was just as good as Gen's, so there wasn't much to go with. "Some backup wouldn't hurt." the dark mage answered once more before listening to the rest Gen had to say before nodding. He didn't know what exactly Gen has planned, but he made sure to keep himself alert to be ready for anything.
The dark mage needed to stay focus...but that focus would falter as he heard Ito mention his beloved's name. His expression held a hint of shock before his eyes furrowed, listening to the daemon's words. He did not need to hear the daemon confirm any of this...The magazine was enough...but hearing him still say it placed a mixture of anger...and fear into the dark mage's core. These daemons seemingly have the means to spy on almost anyone they wanted even out of their little dome. He claimed that Suna was fine, but that did not put the merc at ease...but instead the opposite. Coming from a sinister being like this, there wasn't much Hans could do.
Ito was now speaking of the deals he made and such, having Hans' full attention at least. Ito spoke of how their deals work which reminded Hans of the marks he saw on Nanami. But apparently, one who makes a deal with these daemons get marked on their soul as well, causing Hans to raise an eyebrow to that. Did that imply that in the afterlife...or even in another life, one would still be bound to these beings?
The daemon then brought up the six children, causing Hans to wince a bit, not expecting to hear about them anytime soon. A part of him hoped that it would be good news, even if it is coming from Ito...but it wasn't...
"J-joined...her graveyard...?" Hans muttered, the grip on his greatsword nearly faltering. They...were killed? The merc gritted his teeth as his free hand started to tremble a bit.
Guilt...
....it was all Hans could feel now....
He lowered his head a bit, thinking back about how he accidentally attacked two of those children. Hans wasn't the only one responsible...but with how he was feeling, it might as well all been his fault and his fault alone...at least in his head. If he weren't so foolish, so destructive back then...maybe this would not have happened to those poor children. Even though with what Ito said about how they died...Hans could only blame himself. His focus faltered a bit more. First, the potential of Suna being in danger....and now these children. It was all Hans' fault...the true demon, being the merc's own foolishness...
Ito spoke about things Hans brought up earlier, but even though the dark mage was listening, Hans had his eyes more towards the ground, still a bit lost in his own guilt. His dark, defeated eyes slowly shifted to his sword, just looking at the blade as Ito brought up Hans' mercenary past. Even in his right mind, Hans wouldn't deny his past, not ignore the sketchy things he did in order to survive, but with how he was feeling now, those thoughts of his past were messing with him. Hans always told himself that he did what he had to do back then to survive...but maybe those were just excuses. He was a selfish, and terrible person back then...and maybe he still is now...
Helplessness...
....is what Hans has become at this moment....
He could not protect those children....Would he even be able to protect Suna if they went after her...?
His strong and quiet personality...broken...shattered to pieces.

Genesis Fantôme
La Poste
Genesis brooded over her shadow map. L'espionnes showed the moving figures inside the room, as well as the two figures currently at a standstill outside the library. The Magic Knight was still outside the door, barring them in, while the daemon seemed to have stopped walking. Hans had agreed with the importance of the birdcage, but before she could answer that, a singing bowl suddenly appeared in front of her and a male voice spoke from it.
"Genesis? I am Joseph Cobborn, a junior from the Azure Deer on the team on the other side of Kikka. Hinota asked me to pass on some vital information. Bring Ito to the point of death, but don't actually kill him. It will be safer for everyone to let the deamon siblings come together and meet their ends that way. She also says not to do anything birdcage that he has."
Azure Deer? Must be someone from the other group, as he also mentioned the Golden Dawn healer. The voice also gave some information, though she wondered why and where he got it from. Not kill Ito all the way? But how were they going to do that if he was half-alive and kicking? Her mouth twisted as she pondered upon their situation. She definitely did not have any type of restraint spells...though she knew the mercenary did, from their training together. She had never seen it in action, but wondered if it was strong enough to hold the daemon down.
“Pity. Guess we're not supposed to touch that birdcage, as important as it seems.” This was directed towards Hans. “How strong are your restraints?” The communication spell was still there, so she should take advantage of this and reply back. She wondered what she should ask. The dark mage had mentioned asking for backup. Knowing the location of her allies and where to bring Ito and his sister together would also be a good course of action. Though why, the thick-headed mage has still yet to comprehend, though there was a far-fetched idea that the siblings' two magics might be somewhat beneficial to their cause.
“Any possibility for backup? We're at the library, along with a Silver Eagle. And do you know where Hinota is located currently?” She asked. Honestly, she had no plans at the moment on moving forward—unlike a certain Magic Knight who always seemed to have one, even though she had to make that deal with Sven. It was just a pity that she was captured and disappeared before the redhead could ask to train under her.
“So, where shall we rendezvous?”
As she waited for the reply, the daemon's voice carried over from wherever he was towards the two mages. For the most part, he seemed to be playing mind games with the mercenary concerning the latter's girlfriend. Gen bit back a sigh of pity, but was personally glad that she was not in the same predicament. She could barely keep her own emotions and temper under control, much less share them with another human being. Fortunately, or unfortunately, she probably never will. The poor guy looked like he was about to break down, but she refrained from making any comments on that. Knowing that one's significant other was within the daemon's grasp must be torture enough.
The daemon went on to talk about his past deals, and how he and his sister were different from their father. Deals were not a simple nor light thing, as she was well aware. The Green Mantis vice captain had made one that proved to be disastrous, and Gen was not planning on making any deals anytime soon, nor if she could avoid it. Of course, there was the oh so kind reminder of what had happened the first time they were here in Kikka. Like any one of them could forget. Though she was a little piqued when she heard him talking about his being a pawn. Well, in regards to authority, she supposed even the daemons had their own hierarchy.
It was unknown whether Gen could hear the conversation outside the library, due to the defense spell. However, the femme was up on her feet, going throughout the room as if she was looking for something. “Are you moping?” The dark mage had spoken sense to her earlier. Now it was her turn. “Get up and help me look. There could be something in here that could help us while we wait for our dear ally to let us leave.” She kept her map out, checking it every once in a while to see if any of the figures moved suddenly or if something changed. Gen had yet to summon anything offensive, though she was ready to do so if needed.

These finely crafted black leather boots seem to give off an unsettling energy to any that get to close, they come midway up the shin and have seven silver buttons and seem to have an elastic-like band or string that comes behind the boot and loops over the silver buttons to keep the shoes in place.
Lore: After a compliment to an enemy about their boots and where to get a set just like them for themselves, these boots have found their way to their current owner from said enemy with a note that reads "I hope you like the gift. ~Ito" Whether it is meant to be a taunt or mocking no-one but the sender knows, still they are a really nice set of leather boots.
Name of the Ability: Enigmatic Enhancement Type & Uses: N/A Rank & Specialization: Intermediate ¦ Physical Reinforcement Mana Cost: N/A Range & Speed: N/A ¦ 20 m/s Stats Affected: Endurance Description: The wearer of these boots may feel a little strange while they wear them, it would almost feel as if nothing in the world could harm them or if they could then it would be a lot harder to do. This is because of the endurance buff they give ignore the damage of a single spell or attack per post equal to the rank, or below the current rank of the boots. If the opposing attacker has +20 power to the wearers durability stat they will deal half that spell’s rank in damage. If they have +30 power, the wearer will not be able to ignore any of the damage. This is able to ignore ALL ammo of the single ability/spell that is ignored.
Elemental Type: Shadow Rank & Spell Type: INT | Sensory | Tracking Range & Speed: 20m AoE + Sensory x2 | 20m/s Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Effected: -6 Sensory Applicable Perks: N/A Description: Genesis forms her shadows into a circular map (3 ft/1m in circumference) in front of her, replicating her current surroundings in 3D form. As she does so, she sends out 'shockwaves' of tracking shadows that tells her the location of allies, enemies, or other mana signatures. A mini figure of herself stands at the middle of the map; allies are indicated by dark blue mini figures, enemies in grey, and other mana signatures in dark grey.Following sensory vs control rules, this spell attempts to see through illusions, while masking Genesis' own magical signature. For every 10 Control she has, this spell debuffs -6 Sensory on targets caught in the field, losing effectiveness by a point for every target outside the needed control.

[attr="class","textie"]Vulkan simply listened to the female daemon's words. Whether it was something they had did, or the creatures themselves, it appeared that all the traps, and illusions were now gone. Their so called father had activated the mana zone, and that was useful information as it meant that Zaven's group was dealing with the main threat pretty easily. Tapping his cheek as the term 'consumption' was explained to him. It appeared to be some form of transformation, perhaps it was like when a spirit mage used Spirit Dive, but a demonic version? It was hard for him to say, but that meant these things were not fighting at full capacity, and he needed to keep it that way. They had another fail safe to prevent it from activating, but what could it be? Vulkan was not incredibly smart, he used his instincts more than his brain, it was just how he preferred to do things.
Running in headlong because he felt that he was nearly indestructable for the most part. Very few people could put him to the test anymore. And as he got stronger that gap kept getting smaller between him, and them. So what would their other failsafe be, what was the last trick they had up their sleeves. They seemed to do everything in tandem from what he could tell, they were brother, and sister after all, twins. And she wanted to die at the same time as her brother, and vice versa. A prickling sensation ran up his spine as he stared at Vaile. He didn't know if he was correct or not, it was a simple hunch. He had no idea if what he was about to say was accurate in any way shape or form.
"If we kill one of them, and not the other...I think it will enrage the survivor, and that is how this consumption will be activated..." his voice was still emotionless, dispassionate. They were linked together, these two twins somehow. "We do as she says, we split up, and go to each group, if you have a message spell use it on me...And if you don't then when I'm ready to deal the final blow look into the sky for my meteor, when you see that, you have to end your fight then, and there as well." He didn't know if he was right, but it was the only thing he could think of. Their last failsafe. If one of them survived without the other, that had to be it...Maybe he understood because he had lost Abraxas, that sort of bond would leave anyone hollow enough to want to consume anything, and everything around them. "A choice less failsafe..." Shaking his head they had to get this information to both groups right now, or they would fail.
"Send me to where Genesis is...You go to the others, and from there we will end this madness together...Afterward I will decided what to do with you as Jett is no longer here. You gave me your word on someone you hold precious to you...That is not lost on me...I know how it feels to wander alone, and search for someone who never seems to be there. So for now...I will trust you..." And with that he would say nothing more, and wait for Vaile to point him in the right direction. This was the best decision he could make right now, and if it didn't work, then it was just simply his failure. He didn't want to lose anymore people...
Lilitu listened to the white-haired mage as he asked her a question of what did she want him to say "In honesty, you don't owe me or anyone a breath of your precious air or second of your time. She couldn't help but laugh a little as he continued to talk "I'm four hundred years old and have committed genocides without a second thought, I'm anything but on moral or righteous high ground here." she said her voice coming somewhat flat as she spoke that sentence "It's the nature of what I am... evil... corrupt... as well as a whole host of other words I'm pretty sure you people can come up with. The difference is I've come to terms with the things I have done and what I have lost where you are still allowing it to plague you." her voice sounded pained at those words perhaps she really hadn't.
"Apologize to who and for what? You haven't wronged me in any way and as far as I can tell you haven't wronged your allies forced as that might be." She said her voice soft as she spoke, sure he killed three children so the parents may want an apology, of course, there was also the fact that half a mile of the town was blown up so that might need one as well "Your issues are with yourself not with anyone else and until you deal with them you are going to be a danger to everyone including yourself." It was as simple as that, she could tell he was unstable emotionally and until he got into some sort of control of them then he would continue to be a walking time bomb. "You aren't an adolescent, however, in your race you are a fully grown adult, you still act like a child though."
It wasn't that she wanted to tare him down, that wasn't her way of doing things, she just wanted to help him see his flaws so he might be able to get better but it was like talking to a brick wall with this one. "Mortals and Daemons have certain things in common just we can live so long we can hone the most negative side of things making you all look like amateurs at best." To her, this was just a foregone fact. Both were selfish, destructive, looking to get ahead regardless of who they had to step on, both were willing to make deals that benefited them, of course, that list could keep going on and on. She just found it laughable that they classed her kind as the big evil plaguing them when they were doing it to themselves albeit on a larger scale in weaker forms.
"I can't say I haven't killed anyone in this town because I have, in a rage when six children were killed for no reason. These children were seriously injured by people trying to save this town and taken to a hospital for treatment. Once an agreement had been met the children were taken inside and the hospital became a safe zone while the children were being treated..." she paused for a moment. "An angel of death decided they were 'suffering' because of us even though we had done no harm to them and so decided to kill them. I saw red and killed every doctor and nurse within the hospital, I tortured and made sure that son of a bitch met a very slow and agonising death for their crime. I took the children as my own and put a call through the city for any healers to go to the hospital to help look after the injured."
She hated how much-unneeded death there was in general, adults were old enough to make their own decisions and live with the consequences of them. Children were a different kettle of fish, they were still growing and learning that lesson. These children hadn't even made a decision that had gotten them killed it was a byproduct of a chain of events that sure they started but should have never come to pass. "I could say you'd never understand but that isn't true because you would, just not on the same scope I guess." she would leave it like that for now as she didn't want to delve deeper into the meaning. It was then he agreed that she had never killed her sister but her kind did, she couldn't help but almost snort at how he was acting.
"Death comes to all, it is something that we can't change mortal or immortal alike... we all die..." she went silent for a long moment "Actions and decisions have consequences and we all feel them so do those we care about in the aftermath." her voice shook for a brief moment. "I can't help that I was born any more than you can, nor can I change the fact of what I was born no more than I could wish for the night to never come." it was a home truth, there were just things that were just out of their power and nothing that would change it. "I didn't kill your sister and I'm truly sorry that you have to bear that pain." she wasn't lying to the white-haired male, no one deserved that kind of pain even if they were an enemy.
"I..." she stopped for a moment, hesitation heard in that one word "I killed my own twin." her voice was small as if she was confessing a sin that she had been carrying around with her for a long time. "I don't want to go into the reasons, but, I couldn't let him go much like you can't let your sister go. The only difference is that I have a magic that allows me to keep him with me physically where I believe she still plagues your mind." she never thought she would ever speak those words out loud but here she was doing just that. "He's fully aware he's dead, I'm unsure if he resents me for it because he never was one to go into his feelings but it was that day I lost my thirst for destruction and chaos and started to learn from those that I had taken into my graveyard."
She went quiet as he spoke of Verena and how he had been unfair to her for comparing her to his own twin sister "Unfair, perhaps but it isn't every day that someone feels like half of themselves has been ripped out of existence." she informed him knowing first hand that twin bond and what it was like when Ito was no longer really there. "To find someone you feel that connection to again, however, is a precious thing and I would say nurture it but be careful as if it breaks you both will feel the pain if you are both alive that is." She wasn't trying to insinuate anything she just knew that he was unstable and that it could end in at least one if not both of them being hurt in the long run. He then brought up his sister once more and she went silent.
"No, they did not." her tone was quite a matter of fact as she spoke. "She made her choice to enter their ranks, they did not force her, those who join their ranks tend to know what they are walking into and the possible dangers they will face so your hatred towards them is misguided." She didn't understand mortals as well as Ito did but she did know at least that much in regards to this kingdom. "She didn't give up her dreams, heart or love to them..." she sighed taking a few moments to think how to word her next statement "Ever think she became a magic knight because she loved and wanted to protect her kingdom and the people within it from the evil and darkness?" she enquired "Sometimes siblings do stupid things to protect the other believing that they can be their shield so they'll never need to feel the pain or see that evil."
She couldn't really speak for the deceased Blake as she had never known her, but it was clear she was speaking out of personal experience. "I have no doubt your sister loved you enough that she wanted to protect you from all that is wrong with this existence but protection often comes at the cost of the one being the shield." that was also just the truth of things, magic knights die to protect civilians all the time, even normal civilians did it when it came to things like fires it was just the way of things as much as no one wanted it to be true. "I'm not pretending to know what she gave up, no more than I can say what Ito gave up and he's my own twin... I'm just saying look at it from her shoes instead of just your own." she said softly.
"Where I can't say I know everything she gave up, I can say one thing that she did. Her existence. She perished, but instead of celebrating her life and thinking of the good she had done in that time and why she may have done it in the first place you're busy being bitter and thinking about it negatively projecting your feelings and hatred onto everyone else." she sighed "No one can see a sibling especially a twin as the other does and it is a foolish nievity to believe that anyone can, from the little you told me of her she seems like a wonderful woman who gave her everything for what she believed in and here you are sullying her memory. She deserved a better twin." that last statement may have been harsher than she would have liked but again it was like she was speaking to a wall with him.
"I am speaking as one twin who has lost their counterpart to another that has lost theirs. You don't need to be your twin, you can be selfish, bitter and angry but eventually, you will need to let it go so you can find that peace within her memory." she wasn't going to downplay his pain, it had taken her seventy-five years to get over her own. Even now she felt the pain she just didn't let it consume her anymore as she knew that Ito would never want that for her even if she deserved it. "It seems that is what you need, to get those emotions out, you've been welling them up and letting them fester for so long it seems. Perhaps the one you mirror your sister to can help you as much as you have helped her." she suggested, he didn't know if he would but at least there was something he could think about.
She just ignored the minor childish outburst from the other, the loathing he was feeling though projected was also aimed at himself she believed and it wouldn't be a hard leap for her as she herself had been through it. "Actually as it stands you could take us out in our current forms, if we ever reach consumption again you would be able to defeat us but it would be more difficult." she explained calmly. "I urge you to try, if we are able to die beside each other it will make things easier for all involved." she said, she knew that Ito had already passed but neither would be able to rest fully without that at least that's what they both believed. Whether it would be granted on the other hand was yet to be seen, for the most part, it would seem the group as a whole was open to the idea but all it would need is for one to go against it if they were powerful enough.
"I am glad the bastard is dead, he's caused nothing but pain and misery for countless centuries to everyone." She commented feeling the connection back to her mana beasts put her at ease that was for sure. "Not everyone dies alone, most do and most die afraid." she commented. She didn't want to die without Ito by her side but she wasn't afraid of dying she personally welcomed it. It was then that his conversation turned from the daemoness to the magic knight he was currently paired with. He assumed he was still under arrest and that he would accept the consequences of what he had done all that he asked was that Verena is kept out of it. To the daemoness that was a strange request as she had nothing to do with the shadow mage killing the three children, it made her wonder why he believed she would be blamed for it even in part.
The lava mage had listened to everything that she had said in regards to the mana zone and even about consumption, he had his own way of coming to terms with it through the daemoness didn't know this as it wasn't spoken. In ways, if he had voiced it she guessed it would strongly akin to a spirit dive but not quite as they didn't have to rely on an outside force to obtain it. The words were quite on point, however, if one was to die the other would reach consumption and it would spell a terrible amount of destruction for all involved. It was true that Lilitu had explained that Ito was dead and in fact a wraith but what no one knew was that he had more than enough energy to last the few rounds required after his sister's death, and that was all saying he didn't just decide to use any high-rank healing spell he had just to possibly revive himself. There were many factors as they had no idea what the twins were capable of outside illusions, golems, traps, debuffs and their elements.
The decision had been made to follow Lilitu's suggestion of splitting up, Vulkan saying about a communication spell to be used on him if the shadow mage had one and what to do if he hadn't. Thereof course was another issue on this matter, he said he would go to Genesis and Vaile should go towards the others. The problem was they didn't know who was with which daemon as it had never been stated so were stuck guessing until they found out. The lava mage stated that he would decide what would happen to Vaile after the fact and that he had sworn on someone special to him that he would take the punishment, the words hadn't been lost on him and the reason behind it. For now, he had said he would trust the shadow mage and waited for them to point them in the right direction. The problem was the map could only tell the strengths of people and how many not who was where so until that information was given it would still be a guessing game.
~~~~~~
June, Hans and Genesis:
Ito remained lent against the shadow tree he had created "You're smart, she is still too much of a hothead to know when bending the knee is in her best interest." he said looking up to the sky "She's still young though, she'll eventually learn one way or another but I fear that will be a very painful lesson when it happens as not everyone is going to be so understanding." he explained to the silvery-blue haired mage as his eyes closed, he truly wished he would be wrong but he doubted he would be in regards to Genesis. "I am aware why you and the others here and I personally have no issue with you doing so, I have no stake in this." he opened one eye revealing a piercing ice-blue eye "You wouldn't be able to end my existence even if you tried, neither would your beloved if he was here. the worst that would happen is I would vanish only to pop up almost instantly" he wasn't tooting his own horn he just had information they didn't which would help their situation. "In that time if you did somehow manage to end me all it would to is irritate my sister and no one wants that, not even us." it really was that simple as far as he was concerned.
"I am willing to work with anyone so longs at it lines up with my own agenda." his tone was stoic as he spoke his eye closed once more and he released an almost peaceful sigh "Soon my dearest sister, we'll be free I'm sure of it." his voice was gentle, so gentle in fact that even in the silent street June may not have heard it. "Your dearest one is actually with my sister at current." he informed June his voice was still gentle, his eyes were still closed and he showed no signs of attacking this could be possible to lure her into a fake sense of security or he really was just that at peace at the current moment. Around his body wisps of darkness and light moved over his body, he was indeed casting a spell but it hadn't been for here but rather what was happening above the town. "Don't worry it is merely a healing and shielding spell I cast and no it wasn't on myself or my sister." he wouldn't go further into what he had done and to whom, there was no need to in his mind.
"Ah yes, deals." he almost sounded frustrated at that suggestion his eyes opened once more as he pushed himself off the tree both his eyes clearly a steel grey "You have nothing I want." his voice was curt, out of the three daemons that were in Kikka at current he was the only one that hadn't struck any sort of deal or agreement with another. In his entire existence, he had only ever entered three contracts with people and had always freed them before they breathed their final breaths. What affected one would affect the other, he didn't see the point to continue to be bound to an agreement when the other had passed their lives expectancy. Then again, he also believed that a soul should start off with a clean slate if ever reborn. "What binds one will bind the other. It is why I am so hard to form a contract with because I don't like being bound to anyone." He informed the water mage what exactly what it would mean if she did try down that line and he did accept.
"Even those in my service within the library are not under contract, they are able to leave whenever they wish. I feel somewhat responsible for them since I saved them so have taken them as servants much like a noble of this plane would do. They are paid a salary, are given what they require to flourish and progress but at the end of the day they can just walk away without any ill-will on my side. I even gave them a way out of the town and they remained." He never did understand why they would do that but he wasn't going to question it, they seemed happy and he was content to be waited on so both sides were happy with the arrangement. He listened once more as she spoke and smiled a little.
"As I have said, there is nothing you have that I want." He said, his voice wasn't hostile towards her in any way. She was right he wasn't like his father, if he was she would already be taken to the cleaners or most likely on the floor. "I'm four hundred years old Lady June and I've been somewhat dead for one hundred years of them, of course, I tire of being in this situation, wouldn't you?" he replied to her, he knew it wasn't that easy to put yourself in the shoes of another especially someone that was pretty much immortal. "It isn't quite family expectations my lady, but I do understand that point quite well." he again didn't lie to her on the matter, his issue wasn't expectations of his family but he did understand the stifling pressures of others quite well. "And before you ask, I have been like this one hundred years. No, it doesn't take from her mana but her life force." his voice was soft his eyes going to the flickering faint blue flame inside the birdcage. "My end? My is our passing." it really was that simple to him.
Even though he was outside Ito was quite aware of what was going inside the library, it was where he had decided to call home since he arrived in Kikka. From the door Elizabeth exited the door opened a little "It's very important to him." a little female voice spoke, it was a voice the pair recognised but it wasn't Elizabeth's voice, it was Nanami's. She opened the door and stood there smiling her bright smile still wearing Vulkan's mantle. "Lilitu has one too, it allows them to keep an eye on each other's life. Also, something called... um..." she tapped her head as if she was trying to remember something important "Con... con... consumption... it's a failsafe." she said happily as she remembered something she overheard. "If you come with me, I can help you out of here." she said with a mischievous grin. "Mommy said take out the puppet master and you take out the puppets. Mommy also said that, that if a puppet has enough mana saved it will live long enough to do some things on its own."
She was passing information in a way that Charlotte had explained it to her, she was only around five years old after all "Mommy said that the strong puppet should pass with the puppet master to put the puppet and the puppet master at ease." she had no idea what was being talked about as far as she was concerned it was about toys "Mommy said you'd understand, so, are you coming with me?" she would ask, it was as she always had been "Oh! Mommy also said some puppets don't know their puppets and those puppets should remain that way because it would hurt." she had no idea that, that was a message to the pair not to tell Nanami that she was in fact dead and was merely a wraith. Charlotte knew that would be something she would eventually have to speak to her daughter about but now wasn't the time for that conversation.
Nanami listened to Hans stuttering and tilted her head "Well when Miss Lilitu makes a wraith they become part of a graveyard, they're dead after all." she sounded sad thinking of how many people had died and entered a graveyard. "But she is nice, she always asks and takes good care of people that agree." she said with a small weak smile "Six of my friends got really badly hurt by a bad lady and Miss Lilitu punished the naughty person and now looks after my friends. They don't remember the before, they remember me so I'm happy but they don't remember much more than that." she sounded sad because she knew their parents must be worried about them but they had been told that a nurse had killed them which wasn't a lie. Lilitu took the memories of their parents because she didn't want them feeling sad, it was her own way of showing kindness to them, she honestly wished she could have revived them and sent them back home but her magic didn't work like that.
It could have stopped Nanami from speaking but it worked towards his goal and so he allowed her to continue, he looked at Hans however, he could see his words had gotten to him, this wasn't what he wanted at all but then he guessed some just couldn't handle the truth of their actions "If you are this fragile and break because of the consequences of your actions then it would be kinder to leave your love now than later. You can't take back the horrible things in your past or what happened here but you can learn from them and not make the same foolish mistake twice." Ito's voice held a strength in it he rarely showed, he was trying to show that the past didn't matter, it couldn't be altered and to break because of it was just stupid in his mind. "You've already improved since you were last here, you think actions through instead of just acting. You are improving and should be proud of yourself because of that. Realise the mistakes and grow from them as you go forward, that is all anyone can ask of you, after all, not even gods are perfect if they were we wouldn't be here now would we." he was doing his best to break the other out of his pity party but at the end of the day, the only one who could do that would be Hans himself.
Nanami giggled a little looking at Gen "Lilitu is in the Purple Orca headquarters, that is where the others including Valo are! We should get going now we can get there soon. I can't make anything that can make us go faster though." she seemed sad that she couldn't be more helpful to the pair, she had no idea that Ito and another were actually outside having a nice chat, she was only told to come and bring the pair to where they needed to be to end all this once and for all. She beckoned them to follow her before she ran back the way she came and towards an unknown ancient exit "I can't read but there's a mirror with runes, mommy said if you press the right combination it can take people almost anywhere in town" she said running down a dimly lit tunnel believing that the others would follow.
If they did at the end there would be an ancient looking mirror made of silver and amethyst, next to it was an aged book if either looked at its pages it would show a series of runes and where it would take them. If and when they pressed the correct series for what they needed the mirror would create a spatial portal that would take them to just outside of the purple orca base. If they didn't follow Nanami she would wait by the mirror for them.
~~~~~~
Valo, Hino, Satori:
Lilitu had noticed that the eldest of the three mages currently facing her had done nothing but enhance the others, she knew nothing of him but she could tell that he was watching and waiting. She had no idea why he would continue to do that when he clearly had the power to wipe out her two wraith and do some serious damage to her at the same time, still, he was letting Valo fight on his own. It confused her, she could only think it was a pride thing but there had to be more to it surely "Why don't you fight along side him my lord?" her tone was polite, she didn't know his name so went to what she usually was accustomed to calling people, she had no idea if he would answer her but she hoped he would. Her eyes flickered towards the birdcage for a moment, it was calm and strong so she was happy more so since the cage wasn't broken fully.
While she had been doing this a quick skirmish had happened and came to an end, she told him that going with a full frontal attack would never work with the pair, they were skilled warriors, twins at that and had over two hundred years of mimicking the movements of the other making it near impossible for what he was trying to do to be done. It was clear that he was needing to rethink his strategy "All going well we should be expecting more guests soon." she informed the group watching as six mana beasts rushed past the three and into the base her eyes narrowed for a split second showing her displeasure. She still didn't like that her guardian's had been attack even if she understood the reason behind it. At least they were back with her where it was safe "You don't need to worry about them, I don't want them hurt so I got people to sent them back... one of them still attacked them." the last part of her voice dripped in angry venom, the wraith's eyes closed "It will be fine mistress" the male said "They will be cared for mistress." the female assured her.
"You need only make sure I'm injured bad enough and he will come here on his own, my flame is already weakening and I already feel his worry." she said holding back a cough "Would you rather only fight me my dearest prince? If the answer is yes I will ask Anata and Kiyoshi to step down, whether they'll listen or not is another matter entirely." she said knowing how hard headed her wraiths where. If Valo was to say yes she would instantly request the pair to step aside and stand up from the ground. They of course wouldn't want to do it as they made no moves to move to the side. The fact she hadn't demanded but would have asked politely to them would show that she didn't want to force her will onto them even though she knew she had that power. She valued and cared for them as much as they have clearly done so for the daemoness.
Story:
Lilitu tried to talk some more to Vaile to make him see sense but really does believe she is talking to a brick wall at this point. She did, however, give the pair a vital piece of information when she was talking to Vaile, Ito was in fact dead and it had been at her hands he died although she didn't divulge more detail than that. Previously informed the pair that they should split up, and it seemed Vulkan agreed so came up with a plan problem was the rest of the people within the group he started were around similar strength so without knowing who was where there was no way to go towards who he wanted. So there was a fifty-fifty chance on which group they would each end up at, their best bet was to ask and get an answer.
Ito continued to speak with June about deals amongst other things, he had clearly cast a spell but made it known that it wouldn't affect anyone there. He informed the water mage of his age and how he had only been partly alive for the last one hundred years, he didn't go into any more detail than that. He also informed the water mage she has nothing he wanted. Ito then turned his attentions to Hans attempting to give him a pep talk whether it worked or not was a completely different story. Nanami made an appearance informing them about the birdcage and speaking about puppets and their master, she had no idea about what it meant but it was clearly a message for the pair. Nanami then beckoned them to follow her where she took them down a secret passage to a mirror and ancient book. She then told them what her mother had told her if they followed her of course. It would be up to the pair if they followed Nanami to where they could be transported via spatial magic to the purple orca headquarters or remain trapped inside the library waiting to deal with Ito.
There was a quick conversation between Lilitu and the group, an offer then given if Valo would rather fight her than go through her bodyguards, she made it quite clear that she would ask them to step aside but also that they may not do so. In this time a half dozen mana beasts came rushing in and by the trio right into the headquarters. Lilitu seemed less than pleased about something but the two wraiths tried to put the daemoness at ease and would clearly resist the request if Valo agreed it should be him against her.

Genesis Fantôme
La Poste
What was going on outside the library? Gen could only speculate at the conversation between the water mage and the daemon. But she did stop short, however, when she saw the all too familiar figure of a certain little girl coming out of the door that the other older girl had exited.
“Nanami?” Gen questioned aloud with a tone of disbelief. If this was an illusion, it was a very good one. “But aren't you...” Dead, was what the shadow mage wanted to ask, but even if Nanami was indeed dead, she was not going to break that news to her, even if it was something the little girl herself knew. Who would tell a child that they were dead? Not her.
"It's very important to him."
“The birdcage?” She and Hans had been talking about earlier, and somehow or another, Nanami knew what they were talking about. Her eavesdropping skills must be beyond human capacity. Gen's eyes furrowed slightly upon seeing what the little girl was wearing. How was this illusion able to hold and keep what was given to her? Namely, Vulkan's mantle? What the red-haired woman had not yet understood was that Nanami was actually a wraith now, not an illusion.
"Lilitu has one too, it allows them to keep an eye on each other's life. Also, something called... um...con... con... consumption... it's a failsafe."
“Consumption?” The redhead did not know what that meant exactly, but it would make sense for them to have a backup of some sorts in case anything destructive happened. “I see...so it keeps them in touch with each other...” That flickering flame must be an indicator of Lilitu's current condition. It had not looked like a blazing flame of glory back then—the daemoness must not be in her most optimal state, if Gen had to guess.
Then Nanami, illusion or wraith, offered to help them get out. “Oh?” it would make sense, that she would know more about this place than they did. The little girl also said something about taking out the puppet master. Ah. Gen blinked slowly as realization dawned on her. Perhaps her focus had been wrong the whole time. They should have been focusing on Sven instead of Ito and Lilitu. Sven was the real master here, and as she now understood, the daemon siblings were merely being used by the former.
“Your mother is right.” Gen nodded. “Where are you taking us?” She cast a glance over at the mercenary, assuming he was still nearby. Though she did not say anything, her eyes asked him if they should follow Nanami. Honestly, she was out of ideas and options, and perhaps this really was the best way, letting a child lead them.
Nanami continued on a bit more about Lilitu, and even gave them some more info on the daemonness' whereabouts. Major events seemed to be curiously centered around the Purple Orca headquarters. “To where the others are, huh?” She cocked her head at the dark mage. “Well, I don't see a better option, and the nightlight's burning.”
Nanami beckoned them to follow, and so the femme did, down a shadowy tunnel which had strangely appeared out of nowhere...or maybe the entrance had been covertly shrouded until now. “A mirror with runes, hmm?” Just as she thought aloud, they came upon the object. It looked like an antique, brimming with ancient and raw magic. Next to it was a hovering book that looked equally as old, filled with a series of glimmering runes.
“This must be the order...” Gen murmured. She looked over at Hans, assuming he had followed Nanami as well, and began describing it aloud. “First is the wavy stick...then the swirling circle...then that triangle with a dot in the middle...”

Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
Valo's eyes widened when he took notice to a spell surrounding him in the shape of a balloon like bubble, his first thought was that he was in trouble already seeing one of the wraiths use a water bubble spell to take out his golem. But this one was different it wasn't made of water but something else, something nicer with a scent of spearmint. It was odd and puzzling Valo looked over to Hinota and saw her activating a spell, she was protecting him! It all started to make sense to the fire mage, she was a pacifist so she used defensive and healing magic specialties. And now she was doing her best to protect him from harm. Petals started to float all around him falling to the ground, when the last one fell a blue-white lotus was now around the fire mage. It was a beautiful looking spell the Green mantis knight had to admit.
"It's a lot to take in Valo, rushing makes people very dead and I'm not strong enough to revive yet so let's not have you die or be to badly hurt if we can help it."
"I know. I don't plan on dying today." he replied as he readied himself.
An explosion happened outside followed by another and another one after that. They were probably the wells being destroyed, but there was no time to really dwell on that right now. The focus had to remain on the enemy in front of them nothing else. Valo's flaming blades managed to pierce the water shields but not break them, it also failed to give any information on which one used which element. The fire mage sucked his teeth in slight disappointment, but he didn't really falter completely. Valo had also used his staff's extension ability but it's path was cut off when this time an actual water bubble surrounded him again! This time Hinota's defense spell coming to his aid slightly protecting him.
I'll have to remember to thank her later.
The series of ranged attacks the fire mage fired were taken care of and deflected with little trouble from the wraiths. He wasn't frustrated about it though, the battlefield was no place to let ones frustrations distract them. All this only meant he had to try harder and fighter better, to really make them start to take this fight seriously. He had tried sending golems out, and then he tried a series of ranged attacks so far that didn't work. He was starting to think he had to approach this fight the way he wanted to, in what he specialized in. Bringing the fight in closer more face to face, closing the distance would have to force one to use a more direct approach. At least hopefully, this was all speculation on his part. He knew trying to fight at range with these two would get them nowhere. Satori's spell was still active so his speed was still significantly increased, and he had yet to take a solid hit yet. Should he risk it?
"Valo, they're from Hino respect and truth is a big thing to our culture especially in warriors; if you want to know things ask them."
...
A moment of silence was in the room when Valo heard this, and a confused but also yet disappointed look was on his face. They were going through all of this and they only had to just ask them what their elements were? He wasn't disappointed in Hinota for just remembering this, it just seemed rather to easy. But this fight was already massively an uphill battle, if there was a chance to make it easier so be it.
"Anata and Kiyoshi. Would you do me the honors of stating what elements you use. I for one only use the element of flame." Valo took that risk hopefully it would pay off with the valuable information they needed. It wouldn't show much, but deep inside Valo made a mental note of this. He wanted to be strong to handle any and all situations and he wasn't at that level yet. Even with all the training he did before coming back here, he was still to weak to get a pair of wraith summons to take him seriously. He still had a long road ahead of him.
"All going well we should be expecting more guests soon."
Valo raised an eyebrow when he heard the daemon say this. More was coming? Who and how? Right after that six mana beasts rushed by them and ran downstairs. There was a hint of venom in Lilitu's voice when she spoke on the matter, she didn't like her mana beasts being hurt or killed when they didn't need to be. But the daemon asked Valo another question an odd one at that, she wanted to know if he preferred to fight her directly and she would ask her wraiths to not get involved. The whole thing would certainly make things easier, but given how loyal they are to her it probably wouldn't happen. So there was almost no need for an answer.
The fire mage twirled his staff and held it behind him as he got in a fighting stance, he noticed her cough and her weakened state. "That may be the easier option...But it's obvious your not in full health Lilitu. Asking them to not join you in battle doesn't seem like the honorable choice. They want to protect you and honor you more than anything else. That probably means fighting beside you as well, and I'm sure you would like to fight alongside them as well. Ugh I'm probably gonna regret saying this, but I never take the easy way out of things. So. My answer that no one in this room is gonna agree with is. No. Anata, Kiyoshi fight alongside her. Protect each other. Defend each other. Fight for each other. She deserves that."
Maybe his choice was the wrong one, maybe no one would agree with him. No one would understand why he would make such a foolish decision. The only person that would know is him, and he was ready to live or most likely die with that choice. Deep down the reason was he didn't want to rob them of their last moments, he didn't want to be the one to take away what meant most to them. It was stupid decision because they were the enemy, but he felt that kind of loss. He knew now what it felt like to not be there and not be able to do anything for the people you love, that was a pain he didn't want anyone else to feel. Not even the enemy.
He whispered to himself. "As I wish I could’ve done for them."
BATTLE: Speed = 75 m/s. Valo asked the wraiths what elements they use and told them his own just in case they were wondering. He also made a choice for Lilitu's proposal.
Name of Spell: サートの剣強化 ( Sāto no ken Kyōka / Swords of Surtr Enhanced) Elemental Type: Fire Rank & Spell Type: Senior | Attack Creation & Physical Reinforcement Range & Speed: 80 meters | 40 meters AOE | 40 m/s Mana Cost: 30 | 15 Stats Effected: + 9 Power | Senior Strength Applicable Perks: Apex Predator Description: A more powerful version of the original Sāto no ken, summoning a much hotter ethereal blade made of blue flame and heat. The blade is also much longer reaching seven feet in height, as it hovers right behind Valo. Like before the blade will follow directly behind Valo as he moves throughout the battle field. He is still able to control the blade at will now moving at 40 m/s within range of 40 meters AOE, the blade are also capable of following the movement of his physical strikes if he so wishes. Each attack from the blade itself is extremely hot, and will do minor third degree burning damage with every strike. This enhanced version buffs Valo's strength even further causing each physical strike to deal senior rank damage, and cause burns. He is also able to make more blades following senior rank spell ammo rules.

Valo is able to stop it's growth at any point to fit the situation at hand. The staff can also become broader for its width, reaching up to 4 meters. Valo's control and connection to Hino has greatly improved to the point he can sense where the staff is in a 20 meter AOE distance. But not only sense where it is, but also call it back to him if need be within that distance.

The doll-like mage watched quietly, it wasn't like she could move her arms at current the moment she did the sakura blossoms flying around would follow her movements. It was true that she honestly didn't need to move her hands to control them, this just made it easier for her to do at current as she was still becoming accustomed to being able to shield others with her magic. She knew many wondered how someone like herself ended up becoming a magic knight a member of the golden dawn of all squads. She was a prodigy in regards to her healing but what many didn't see her having was a tactical mind that was hard to rival given her age. She took to reading the tides of battle as easily as a duckling took to water. She knew that her specialities would only get her so far.
She realized she had one huge weak point, the lack of a killer instinct or want to do harm. She knew there would people that would take advantage of that fact, but they could go take a long walk and short drop as far as she was concerned. She had been raised in a bubble for fifteen years, then for the next three months after receiving her grimoire she had been escorted by Elenor who acted as a bodyguard to the delicate girl. She had ran off one day due to her parent's words and came across her now captain, she looked a mess and was ready to run away from everything completely, he had spoken to her and told her it was fine to walk off the path expected of her. He must have seen something in her because due to that one conversation he offered her a position within his squad.
She was hesitant at first but eventually agreed, what she wouldn't know until later was the mantle that she was given and still wore to this day was his old mantle before he became captain. It reminded her of the first time she stepped off the path and the punishment that came with it. The thing was she would have still taken the route she had knowing how her family would react, the problem was she doubted herself and her ability to be within the knights believing her family to be right. Still, in the last nine months, she had met a family of dragons in the desert, helped within Raque when there was an archdaemon attack there and now she was in the thick of it again in regards to Kikka. She was actually wondering how she was still not having a mental break down.
Then again she couldn't afford to and so compartmentalized as she was taught when she was a child and scared, the problem was that would only work for so long before everything came toppling out of those boxes. It should last long enough to deal with the task at hand at least and that is all that should really matter. "Well that makes me happy." she said with a soft tone, he of course would be with Charlotte and Nanami again, but it wouldn't be as he or they would prefer she was sure. He was a strong person on many levels so it was easy to see how a child would look up to him as a role model. She looked around hearing three bangs in quick succession believing that the wells were either destroyed or something really, really bad had happened to the others, she was hoping for the former.
She looked up, she could barely see anything but every now and then there was a flash of light from flames. "The final battles have started." she whispered to herself, soon this saga of darkness would come to an end and the light would return to the people. There was going to be civil unrest in Kikka for a long time, then there was the fact their trust in the magic knights most likely shattered thanks to the events that had happened. It was going to be a long road in the healing process but she was unsure if those wounds would ever truly vanish, a glass that had been cracked would forever be flawed after all. Her eyes turned back to Valo and the enemy, she was unsure if he was strong enough to be able to defeat one of the two wraiths let alone one of them after all they were in sync.
She watched the attacks and had moved appropriately to protect him, the first time using the cherry blossoms while the lotus closed protecting him at the same time. Her defensive spells weren't going to really aid against them but if nothing else at least the additional healing would help him. She watched them, they seemed to be treating Valo's attacks as if they were nothing more than they were sparing with a child. This wasn't the case and she knew it, she bit her bottom lip for a moment "Why would you fight alongside him?" she asked the tall man she was standing beside her, she understood that this wasn't his village but even he must understand that if this threat wasn't dealt with then the darkness would continue to expand and soon their problem would become his too. She would never wish that fate on anyone.
She saw the look on Valo's face and bit her bottom lip gripping her sleeves, she knew she didn't want to make him upset but her words seemed to do just that 'Did I just screw up?' she thought to herself, she watched how they moved and if they continued doing it then they would never find out who the weak link was out of the two or what they were dealing with in general. "I'm sorry..." she whispered, she wasn't equipped to deal with frontline battle and shouldn't have been where she currently was. She was a healer and tactician they normally were either in an infirmary or barking orders from the safety of the backlines. Still, she had found herself on the frontlines for the second time in as many months. This time she was more uncertain than the first time because there were more unknown factors to take into consideration.
The wraiths blinked surprised that the man they had been fighting had taken the advice of the woman that had been standing behind him the entire time. It was then they turned there attention to Hinota who gave a bow which was returned by the pair though it wasn't as low as she herself had done. With formalities done they turned their attentions back to Valo. The female looked to Kiyoshi "She is of our culture, she's right there are certain etiquettes that are followed." she said calmly, Kiyoshi couldn't exactly argue the fact but it would be as if giving their enemy information and so shook his head. Hinota walked forward away from where she was safe, she had no way of defending herself and wouldn't deal damage to them so what she was doing was beyond a gamble and she knew it, still she felt like she needed to do it.
"Prince Kiyoshi, Princess Anata..." she started bowing once more now she was addressing them "I know it is not normal etiquette to inform an enemy of your strengths and weaknesses, but, you are honourable but what you are currently doing is dishonourable." she said her voice trembling as much as her body was. Kiyoshi's hand went to the sword at his side, she didn't flinch she would accept her fate if needed but she would be heard. They may have been dead but they were still royalty so it meant that tact would be needed or she was likely going to lose her head. "Please Prince Kiyoshi hear me out, if you wish to take my head afterwards I will not fight my fate." She could already tell that the man didn't like a woman speaking out of turn, she guessed it was the reason that Anata had been so reserved up till that point.
"Prince Valoriss is an honourable man and this is stacked against him." she said looking to Valo for a moment a single cherry blossom moving over his mouth as if to tell him to be quite. He knew he would argue over the title but she was using Lilitu's own title to help her in this case. It would change the dynamics a bit to make the field a little more even "He has lost much in this battle that has nothing to do with anyone standing here right now." she said her voice showing sorrow as she closed her eyes "If you are as honourable as you show yourself to be, create a balanced battlefield... even if you insist on fighting as you are, please tell him your elements." her words were respectful, soon she opened her eyes.
Kiyoshi moved his hand from his sword sighing "Very well woman, I will allow this farce to go on a little longer to make things more honorable." he said calmly "Thank you, my prince." she said bowing once more looking at Valo with a look of relief before standing. "I use sword and fire." Kiyoshi said forming a blue flame at the top of his left index finger and moving the sword around with his free hand. "I use water and world tree." Anata said softly creating a bonsai tree in one hand and a water orb in the other. Hinota looked at Valo, they were double elemented like she was, the thing was they were only fighting with a single element and it was difficult for Valo to get through their defences but at least now they knew what the hell they were working with. She wanted to balance the battle a bit more but she felt like she was already pushing her luck but she would push it further because right now needs must.
"Prince Kiyoshi, Princess Anata... you are fighting him as a pai-" "Then fight beside him like my sister does to me." this caught her off guard and she was cut off mid-sentence only being able to shake her head at his words. "I have no affinity for battle." she said truthfully this caught Kiyoshi by surprise "You mean they sent not only a woman onto the battlefield but one that can't even defend herself? Are these people idiots?" it seemed to leave a severe distaste in the man's mouth, his eyes went to Anata "Take care of the mistress, I will fight him alone." he instructed Anata who nodded moving back to where Lilitu was quickly "And you get off the battlefield before I change my mind due to your stupidity." he ordered, she bowed quickly and moved to Valo and smiled relief would be seen in her eyes.
"I've made everything as balanced as I can for you. Try and get him to agree to no magic you will have the advantage thanks to the enhancements of Bengal." she whispered so only Valo would hear doing the same bow she had given to Kiyoshi once she was dismissed by Valo one way or another she would move off back to be standing next to Bengal, though collapsed to her knees. That was the most terrifying that she had done to date and didn't want a repeat performance. Not long after she returned she moved as quickly as her body would allow her to the side as some of Lilitu's mana beasts returned she could tell that she was less than pleased. The doll-like mage could only speculate that they had been hurt more so due to the wraiths words, that was risky and hoped whoever done it was still breathing. It was then Valo spoke to Lilitu making her smile a little before she shook her head "You worry too much." she chuckled.
"Even in this weakened state, I am still stronger than the two you are fighting." she said her voice was faint but was calm "They are my personal guards, the two that I rely on the most other than Ito himself." she said calmly, if it wasn't obvious before she had all but said it bluntly that Ito was a wraith himself. "They would but they would listen to my request I'm sure and you are correct in your beliefs, you are likely going to regret it." she said covering her mouth as she laughed but it led into a cough Anata created an orb of water which the daemoness seemed to take a drink from, though the wraith raise an arm the fabric of her dress preventing the others from seeing the act being done. When it was done she lowered the sleeve the orb gone but there was additional blood on the white sleeve of the deamoness but she seemed not to pay it any mind. His words had caught the two wraiths off guard the doll-like mage and daemoness both smiled knowing this was the path that he would take. "I told you he is an honourable man." she said to the wraiths.
This made Kiyoshi nod his left hand going into his right and he bowed "Then we will fight as honourable men." his voice showing respect for the first time to anyone, not Lilitu. The doll-like mage closed her eyes for a moment not the best thing to do when one of her spells relied on her being aware of things but she felt light-headed. Even if others didn't agree with his decision she understood why he would do such a thing, he was projecting. He wanted them to do for Lilitu what he failed to do for those he cared the most for. "If you're a fool then so am I because I agree with your decision." she called over to Valo as she opened her eyes to him smiling a little.
Name of Spell: Budding Defenses Elemental Type: Flower Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate ¦ Defence Creation ¦ Healing Range & Speed: 40 ¦ 20 Mana Cost: 20 ¦ 10 Stats Effected: +6 Durability (Self) Applicable Perks: Self Repairing ¦ Archangel's Blessing ¦ Elemental Oddity Description: Hinota brings her hand together as if holding a lily, within her hands, a closed pale blue-white lily seems to appear an additional lily appears for every 20 control she has as per the ammo rules. Quickly she moves the lily slightly away from her whispering the allies name(s) she wants to use this spell on as she does so. The lily seems to blossom and so open the more it moves away from hinota before it seemingly bursts and the petals fall to the ground. As this happens an opened lily appears beneath those she spoke the name of. When the lily does appear it will be completely open and those within it will smell a light scent of spearmint coming from the flower itself however with control when she notices an incoming spell the flower will close allowing in the attempt to protect the one cocooned inside it. At this point, the lily will follow clashing rules as normal and will even repair itself at the end of each round if damaged thanks to its self-repairing ability. In addition to being a defensive spell the entire time this spell is active it is healing the one standing inside it for intermediate damage while also actively attempting to cleanse them of any poisons, venoms, debuffs, curses or hexes using the clashing rules for cleansing. This spell remains active until Hinota either runs out of mana or deactivates the spell herself.
Name of Spell: Active Defence Elemental Type: Flower Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate ¦ Defence Creation ¦ Healing Range & Speed: 40m ¦ 20 m/s Mana Cost: 20 ¦ 10 Stats Affected: +6 durability (Self) Applicable Perks: Archangel's Blessing, Self Repairing, Elemental Oddity Description: Hinota often says she was raised learning how to read the tides of battle and this spell shows just how true that statement is. Quickly raises her left hand above her head creating a baby green and purple seal in the top of her a few seconds later hundreds if not thousands of cherry blossom petals seem to burst free from it and dance around the area the scent of the blossoms, however, smell of lilac, at this point the spell is still fully inactive as it isn't doing what the spells function truly is thus not making this an aoe spell. This spell doesn't act like a normal shielding spell as the petals follow Hinota's movements and condense in pockets big enough to take on incoming spells while leaving the ally in questionable to attack unhindered. The condensed petal pockets act as a shield and so clashing rules still take effect when they intercept an attack. The petals can split off in the attempts to defend more incoming attacks using the ammo rules equal to Hinota's control and she can even send them to defend another person at the same time by using the ammo rules but she can not go above what her control allows. (Example: A has three projectiles incoming and Hinota has just enough control to protect against all three projectiles but B is also getting attacked by something Hino needs to decide whether or not to protect A against all incoming projectiles or send some of the petals to protect B thus not going over what she can control via ammo rules.) If not destroyed the shield aspect of this spell repairs at the beginning of each round.
In addition to being a shield, the petals are able to condense and move around individuals healing them instead of protecting them against incoming attacks, using ammo rules she can heal several allies as long as she has the required control. Using the example above Hinota can heal as well at the same time as defending but can not go above what her control allows via the ammo rules. The healing aspect of this spell can heal for intermediate damage to either health or mana skin. This spell can also close decently bad wounds with some ease and even regrow things like fingers, toes or a potentially missing ear although isn't yet strong enough to attempt full limbs let alone attempt the resurrection of a person. When healing a person the spell also actively attempts to cleanse debuffs, curses, hexes, poisons, venoms by using clashing rules. This spell will remain active until Hino herself deactivates it or she runs out of mana.
"When you spend so long trapped in darkness, you find that the darkness begins to stare back."
There Hans was, still wallowing in his own pity. He was now leaning up against a wall with his dark eyes facing the wooden floor. He barely had a grip on his greatsword now, a sign of his diminishing fighting spirit, but it did not fall to the ground since he still had enough of a hold on it...but it was weakening bit by bit.
The merc did not utter a single word, not even trying to figure out what was happening on the outside between Ito and the Silva woman. Hans simply shook his head slowly to Gen's question regarding knowing any other back up here. Technically, he knew two of them...but Hans has no idea that they are here. Either way, Hans wasn't completely paying attention, that is until the shadow mage brought up his moping which caused the guy to glance up at her....but he still didn't say anything. Why were the daemon's words getting to Hans all of a sudden? Hans never prided himself on it, but he was great at keeping a leveled head, even in the most challenging of times.
But why now was his demeanor crumbling....Has it truly always been this fragile?
It was then the merc heard a familiar voice, and his moping expression briefly broke, molding a mixture of confusion and surprise. "Nanami...?" He also questioned....but like the shadow mage, Hans couldn't bring himself to say anymore. Real or not, the dark mage couldn't just tell a child that they are dead...or suppose to be. The girl was relaying some information to the duo by her mother, but then the girl turned her attention to Hans, speaking about the six children again, but the dark mage didn't have much time to think about this as he heard that daemon invading his head again...but the words he said were quite...different from the usual.
"If you are this fragile and break because of the consequences of your actions then it would be kinder to leave your love now than later."
"Tch..." Hans was now glancing to the side with his eyes furrowed slightly. Sounded like Ito was going to start with his usual insults...but he started to say things that the merc wasn't expecting...and Hans was taken off guard. The daemon was right, however. There was no going back on the mistakes made...but they could be learned from which Hans has already shown that he is learning from them which was also pointed out by Ito. The merc's furrowed brows loosened, his expression lighting up a bit. He looked towards the ground again, this time giving Ito's words some thought. He then chuckled lightly to himself, shaking his head a bit. "This is ridiculous." he muttered. Out of all people, Hans couldn't believe he was getting some form of a pep talk from the enemy...a pep talk that was actually impacting him.
The merc's demeanor may have been crumbling...but like all worn-down structures, it could be built back up with the right materials...
With that, Hans glanced back at Gen as she looked over to him and gave a nod...just as the grip on his greatsword tightened once more, and he pushed himself off of the wall. There was no time for pity, reflection or self-doubt...There's a town that Hans needs to help save...and a woman he needs to get back to....
He still wasn't exactly certain if the duo should outright trust Nanami. She may be an ally...but she was also brought back through the influence of the enemy which could lead to hidden effects that neither the dark nor shadow mage would know about...but what choice did they have at this point? Plus the information Nanami was giving sounded believable.
“Well, I don't see a better option, and the nightlight's burning.”
"Yeah..." Hans looked over to Genesis before placing his greatsword back into its sheathe. He then crouched down to sort of be on Nanami's level and smiled lightly at the girl. "Okay, lead the way, Nanami. We'll try our best to keep up." Hans claimed with a hint of warm-hearted jest. Standing back up, Hans followed the other two to a mysterious tunnel...one Hans could've sworn was not here before...but there was no turning back now, especially with how far they have come.
Now they stood in front of a mirror...with runes, but that wasn't the only thing. There was also an ancient book floating in front of it. Hans stared at the book for a bit before looking at the runes, pondering on what this combination would be. Gen then seemingly came up with an answer, causing Hans to raise an eyebrow. "You..sure about that?" The merc was kind of skeptical, especially with how she described the runes...but they might as well try. So Hans attempted to place the runes in the order Gen described..."Er..which "swirling circle" again?"....with some difficulty along the way, but in the end, Hans was able to move them into the order the redhead wanted before taking a step back.

Post by June Silva on Mar 23, 2021 12:53:29 GMT -5
With Ito utterly interested in a deal yet willing to work with her, June knew that all was not lost. She was simply in a rather... precarious position. Her silver tongue could either buy time for Hans and Genesis to get away from the daemon or get them all annihilated with no hope to defend themselves. So far, neither rogue (they might have been wanderers, but June wasn't interested in giving the benefit of the doubt) had tried to break the barrier trapping them within. Perhaps the redhead had calmed down enough to think about the situation she was in. It was a long shot and the Silva wasn't fond of relying on strangers for anything, much less not to get her killed. Still, the lack of an escape attempt meant that they were capable of basic thought at the very least.
June dismissed the barrier, the water that previously blocked the door shimmering and fading away.
"I imagine I'd be quite tired if I were in your place," the silvery-blue haired woman stated.
She didn't say much else right away, her mind working furiously to pick apart every word that had left the daemon's mouth. Based on his demeanor and his actions to this point, there was an answer. If not, Ito would have already killed them all. A bargain didn't seem to be the way out despite what June had read about daemons. There were hints dotted throughout his speech and a clever listener could pick them out and put them together.
Her brows furrowed for a moment before she locked eyes with Ito.
"You wish to die? Or perhaps not die but pass onto another life then. You are trapped so long as your dear sister sustains you."
Another pause followed while June considered her next words.
"If your end is what you have in mind, how do we achieve such a feat? You said yourself that should we slay you, you would only reappear moments later. Unless...."
June frowned.
"If your sister ceases to be, you would no longer be tethered to this world." It was the most obvious conclusion based on the information Ito had sewn into his speeches. Whether it was the correct one had yet to be seen. There were plenty of reasons to be skeptical of a daemon, but June knew better than to dismiss everything he said as falsehood. The best manipulations contained grains of truth.
If Ito wished to escape this life and was simply stringing her along to that end, then June was duty-bound to allow it.
"As much as I have enjoyed this dance, Lord Ito, I'd like it if you'd speak plainly, if only for a moment. Is your intention to die with your sister and how could I possibly make that happen?"
Post by Satori Ryuutei on Mar 23, 2021 16:04:58 GMT -5
Satori waited patiently as the fight unraveled. Valo was clearly greatly outmatched, even with the sudden explosion of stronger spells enhancing his body. Satori's gaze trailed toward the demoness as the conversations continued. She even asked him to partake, to join the battle as well. So much talking. This felt nothing like a battle, just an overly wordy play that could lead to deaths. For a Ryuutei it was a waste of time, a battle should be simple, swift and to the death. There was none of this needless chatter.
A battlefield was a place you held to your beliefs, and if you died, so be it. Questioning yourself, your drive, your ideals in the midst of a fight was a deathwish. And so, as Hinota asked if he would help Valo, Satori's gaze trailed down toward her and released a slow breath. Help him, hm? More than he already was? If he interfered any more than this he'd just be fighting for the man. It didn't feel right to him.
Shifting his gaze toward the demoness once more. What was she playing at? What was the point of all this? If she desired death she should be fighting peers that could perform such a deed. Was it to humor this Valo, to help him grow? He couldn't tell, and a hand lifted. Rubbing the back of his neck as the magic continued to crackle along the trio. Lifting his gaze toward the demoness once more. A slow breath passed between his lips. Injuring her was required, hm?
He was a bit tired of this farce of a battle, anyway. At this point it felt as though it was simply dragging on. The magic around Valo, himself and Hino crackled suddenly. Shifting as some of it ended, and the man lifted both hands up with a blank expression.
"So be it. I didn't wish to fight the battles of others for them. But I worry for my love as well." Satori finally murmured, and suddenly the magic crackled around him. Exploding forward as great wings burst from his back glowing with spectral Beast Aura magic as his grimoire of bone and flesh began to rapidly flip through pages at his side. The massive wings flexing as he flipped the spear twice, and aimed its point at the demoness.
"Let us begin, then," Satori murmured simply. If he was to join the battle, there would be no words here. He would aim to kill. From the very beginning. The mana around Satori suddenly redoubled, bursting and flowing upward to wrap around his body. Compressing and forming into the spectral upper-body of a massive white tiger that appeared to burst into reality around him. The ground cracking beneath his feet as his heels dug into the stone.
The spear's point aimed at her as the massive tiger's face of crackling lightning formed around the point of the spear. She could summon as many wraiths to guard her as she desired. Suddenly, his mana skyrocketed, and with a flicker of speed, Satori was gone. Moving faster than even archmage spells were normally capable of, the man blinked from existence and re-appeared in front of the demoness.
If she summoned wraiths to guard herself or not, Satori unleased his attack. The explosion of raw mana and power filled the air with the roar of a great white tiger, of thunder and lightning striking as the man unleashed his power in a barrage of stabs with the spear to rend the demoness apart.
Whatever came next, he would simply have to deal with.
All attacks are moving at 143m/s. Wings are aiming to cut her in half or anything that gets in his way, initial impact is white tiger for an additional Grand damage, followed by a barrage of spear strikes that caps at Archmagex3 in a single post done this way due to Brute perk.
Power is buffed to 267. For every successful hit this post it continued to grow due to Apex Predator. Wings deal Archmage damage. This can target anything that gets in his way and the demoness at once via ammo rules. White Tiger deals Grand damage. Each physical strike deals Grand+INT+1/2 Junior damage. Due to how reaction speed rules work, not sure if she can dodge/block/etc. But assuming max damage is dealt this deals a total of Archmage x4 and 1 Grand.

The young girl looked to the two surprised adults with a sweet smile she had always had, she didn't seem bothered at all. She tilted her head as Genesis spoke, it was like the woman wanted to tell her what she was but had stopped herself. It was true the young girl had no idea that she was dead at current. It wasn't exactly something that Charlotte would be able to keep from her for too long, but for now, it would do no good for her daughter to be upset as the mana beasts reacted to her pain as did the shadows that surrounded the town. "Did you forget what you were going to say?" she asked innocently no idea what she was going to say. When the birdcage was brought up again she nodded "The puppet master is very sick and he knows it." she said sadly not knowing what she was talking about.
She had only been using words her mother had been using around her, she knew her daughter was sensitive at heart. It didn't matter if Lilitu and Ito were enemies being as young as she was she would still naively view them as friends, to hear one of them was sick she'd likely want to bring her fruit and soup to help. She had raised a wonderful girl but she was a mother bear and would do anything to protect the last of her family against anyone regardless of who they were. The young girl nodded her head hearing Genesis repeating the word 'consumption' she herself had no idea what it was, she just knew it was something bad and they had done everything in their power to prevent it from happening. "Not like communication, but if they're hurt or how they're feeling mommy says." she said trying to remember all the information she was given.
She turned and moved down the secret tunnel and looked back as the red-headed woman asked where she was taking them "Spatial mirror." she said as if that was obvious, "There are lots around town but all hidden. Mommy says Purple Orca use them lots." she said continuing back down the passage once again. It would stand to reason that the squad had ways to get around quickly especially in the tactically advantageous town of Kikka. She nodded at the question of her taking them to where the others were. "Mommy says it's time to allow them to sleep." she said stopping in front of the antique mirror and book, she watched as she had started telling Hans the symbols that he would need to push for the location they needed to go to. She watched Hans starting to press the runes called out.
As he put in the last one the mirror seemingly became rippling liquid almost looking like a conventional spatial portal that a mage of the element may cast. She ran through the portal without a second thought and stopped just outside the inner gate of the purple orca base. It was now that she realised that the others may be cautious about going through, she moved the top part of her body through and waved them to follow her "Hurry! I'm sure Valo will need help!" she called out her voice showing worry for the man she seen as her big brother to the pair before she pulled back out and ran into the purple orca base "VALO!" she called out her eyes going to Kiyoshi for a moment "YOU BETTER SHOW HIM HOW OUT MATCHED HE IS!" she called out wanting to get him fired up. She truly had faith in the fire mage and it showed.
Being trapped in the water bubbled defensive spell it was clear that both the fire mage and doll-like mage believed he was in danger as Hinota's cast spells had done what they were intended to do in the hopes to protect him from what was to come. It seemed like there was little reason to worry as it wasn't an attack, but a way to defend against an attack just used to induce panic on the enemy while still protecting the female wraith. He informed the doll-like mage she didn't need to worry because he had no intention of dying that day. He may not have had the intention of doing it but it didn't mean it wasn't a real possibility of it still happening, he was after all still severely outmatched by the two wraith in front of him.
Three consecutive explosions would be heard in quick succession, the three remaining wells had been destroyed but unknown to anyone was the battle for the town was still happening above their very heads. The two captains had even been given some help from an unlikely source to make sure they wouldn't be harmed. There was little time to dwell on any of that as the fire mages spell had pierced the defensive spell that was protecting the twin wraiths but there was still no way to know who had which element. It seemed to be frustrating the fire mage to no end it would seem, without the information there would be no way to really for anyone to come up with a plan to deal with them. It was then that Hinota actually revealed information that could help them, in honesty she was kicking herself for not bringing it up sooner.
If silence was deadly then everyone would have been dead at that moment, the disappointment easily seen on the fire mages face. It was clear that the flower didn't mean to do that to him but at the same time, it wasn't like this was just a minor skirmish there were real consequences on both sides so a quick solution was something that was needed in their current situation. Eventually, the question was asked but Kiyoshi wasn't really willing to give the answer to the question. Hinota found herself moving from the position of safety and put herself in the firing line. Her first sentence after formalities proved to irritate Kiyoshi as he tightened his grip on his sword, he was clearly ready to strike at the delicate woman that was trembling as she had never needed to do anything like this before.
The doll-like mage knew if she said one wrong word then it would easily end her life so she needed to tread carefully but would accept her fate regardless of outcome. It was clear to her, that in the grand scheme of things her life was nothing more than a spec of dirt. The delicate woman explained herself to the pair, Kiyoshi begrudgingly agreed and the question was finally answered. He used sword and fire where the other used water and world tree. She had tried to make it more balanced as it was two against one but her words were cut short as it was suggested that she should fight at Valo's side, that's when she informed him she had no way to do so. This caught the male wraith off guard and somewhat irritated him as he dismissed her while telling Anata to deal with Lilitu.
The flower mage moved to Valo and bowed playing along with a farce she knew would make him uncomfortable but for the greater good, she had made the battlefield as fair as she could for him everything was now on him to finish it. Lilitu had smiled realizing that they must have believed that the mana beasts were the guests that she had spoken of but that wasn't true in the slightest. The guests she was speaking of were the people they had entered with as proven by young Nanami yelling at Valo to beat Kiyoshi. Valo had answered Lilitu's question while Hinota had been dealing with the overall minefield that was her culture. He had used the unpopular opinion and the daemoness had even told him that he worried too much, she also informed him that even in her current situation she was still stronger than the two wraiths that protected her.
"I am not full health as I'm sharing my life force my dear prince. A wraith is simple to make, a wraith that keeps their sentience is tiring but Ito...." she went quiet for a moment, there was no real way to explain what her brother as he was neither alive nor dead he was just there. "He isn't exactly a wraith but he isn't exactly alive either and doing what I did comes with a high price." she informed the other. She nodded to his words understanding why he wanted the twin wraiths to fight, he wanted them to fulfil something he had himself had failed to do. Protect the one they held dearest. Lilitu looked down and chuckled lightly "I don't deserve to be protected, I committed a heinous sin that is unforgivable." she wasn't even talking about the death, destruction and chaos she had done over her lifetime.
"I not only betrayed the one who loved me the most but I killed him because of the words of another." She said her voice filled with regret as she brought out a necklace, on it was what looked delicate blue cylinder pendant. The gift Ito had personally crafted for her as proof that he would be there for her no matter what happened. Anata had convinced the daemoness that Ito was a threat to the things that she held dear. It had turned out that Anata was jealous of the bond the pair had and so sought to destroy it, the one thing the once mortal woman hadn't realized was that the daemoness would go nuclear. So, the next time the brother and sister met it had ended the life of the unexpecting Ito who had been completely innocent. It was then she told Kiyoshi everything who demanded he tell their mistress who was already grief struck at her actions.
Not willing to go on without Ito she remembered something Ito had told her over a century beforehand and gave him back his life, the problem was her magic was unable to truly perform such an act. She had revived him or so she thought until she started to feel a drain on her life force, Ito seeing what was going on asked what had happened. She told him everything and that's when she was informed of her folly and the price she had paid for such a thing. She held the necklace in her hand silently not paying attention to the world around her at the moment, she was thinking something over that much was clear. The problem was she didn't know how successful it would be, it didn't mean she wouldn't try if she went through with it.
Hinota had finally looked to the large man that had been with them since they got separated from the others and asked why he wasn't helping Valo. She knew right now he would have seen it as not his problem but this darkness was spreading and soon enough it would be if it wasn't snuffed out before it could creep any further. It was then that Satori involved himself but he wasn't aiming for the wraiths. No. He was aiming for their master. He was heading directly for Lilitu. Ito had been fully aware of everything that had been going on where his sister was, but he had been keeping the conversation with June the entire time, the problem was now the time for talking had come to a close as much as he would have enjoyed continuing it.
"I'm sorry Lady Silva but we need to be going now." he said his voice was stern as he spoke, his hand going to her wrist as he seemed to take a step forward a smoke-like shadow appeared around the pair before they knew it they too would be in the purple orca base. His hand not even reaching forward but a light shield with black swirls had formed around himself and June who now stood between his sister and June's lover "To answer your question Lady Silva, this is how we make my end game possible but I have no intention of letting her be destroyed so easily. It is not in my nature please understand this." he informed the blueish-silver haired woman "Please go with your love, I don't wish to be the reason you are taken from him." he said releasing her wrist, her eyes going to the twins narrowed.
Ito looked back to his sister with a smile it was the first time since this whole ordeal he had shown anything but contempt or neutrality "I'll risk my everything for you..." his body started to glow the darkness creeping over his body, his normal grey eyes turning a piercing ice blue as he looked directly at the group in front of him "Even if it means that my scars won't heal and the pain will grow." his voice was deathly serious as a sword of what looked like obsidian and emerald bastard sword appeard in his left hand. He was through with through with it all, this constant uncertainty, being a pawn... most of all he was through with his sister constantly having to suffer and living with the guilt that she had for one hundred years.
He was willing to face what would come but he would make sure he would go down fighting, that was his wish. He wanted to be with his sister when they perished and this made sure that was possible. Ito's shield had been broken but it had done its job a smile on his face as he turned his attention to Bengal "If I am unable to later, I am thankful for what you are going to do for my sister and myself." he said his voice showing no lie, if anything he seemed completely at peace that his time was all but up. His eyes once again went to Anata and Kiyoshi "You heard his words, he wants you to defend her with everything you have so do it." his voice was stone cold, almost filled with loathing towards the two wraiths.
Ito had nothing against Kiyoshi other than he was twined to the jealous and vindictive bitch that had been making his sister suffer for one hundred years. The pair nodded and set around to do exactly what had been asked of them. Kiyoshi wasn't happy about it but this was what the Green Mantis mage and his mistress's brother had asked of him and he would comply "Anata" he called she looked to him "Are you sure?" she asked Kiyoshi merely nodded moving to his side Anata brought her hands together and started to whispering something around her brother a tree started to form around them, It was clear that something none to pleasant was going to happen that was for sure but that was for the group to deal with.
Ito himself had dashed towards Satori is speed far quicker than an average archmages, the sword he was weilding though it should have been heavy and sluggish he was weilding it as if it was nothing more than a one handed sword. He was slashing upwards towards Satori's chest his mind focused, his soul serene and his body filled with intent. It had been so long since he had truly been in a fight with someone the pity was that this would be the last time he would do this dance, what worsened it for him was that the reason he was fighting was to make them perish so he couldn't enjoy it as he normally would do. He never wanted to be a part in destroying this town but like his sister he was a pawn and like his father before him they would also meet their ends. He could only hope that when it came to it if they were to be reborn that they were still together, happy and free from restraints of others.
The tree now had fully formed and it had towered over the purple orca base, it was going to remove mana from everyone it touched within the area. When it had reached what appeared to be it's maximum height blue flaming spirals seemed to move around it. It was true that this spell was a defensive spell but it also was an offensive spell thanks to how her restraining worked. She had no worry about harming her brother, her magic had never been able to do such a thing nor her magic wouldn't affect Lilitu. Ito was a different matter but she was pretty sure he could heal and cleanse through what was to come, not that she would care one way or another. As if tracing the roots the fire seemed to crack the ground but it also broke the tree to the point it looked as if it had been struck by lightning, the cracks of the ground where more than apparent as they went further than the courtyard they found themselves in.
Blue flames came from the cracks in the ground almost as if hell itself had opened up and wanting to destroy everything above it, Kiyoshi flicked his hand almost dissmissively over his shoulder caused another spell to be cast. From the sky blue fireballs almost like meteors came flying from the sky dealing damage to those within it. He didn't have to worry about his sister being harmed nor did he have to worry about Lilitu or Ito being harmed thanks to the sensory attached to the spells. The base was being destroyed around the group the two wraiths stood side by side completely relaxed though they knew just how much destruction they had caused within those three spells. They were told to protect her and they would do just that regardless if the town had to be razed to the ground, the town meant little to them after all.
Story:
Everyone is now back together within the purple orca headquarters, the final battle has begun for the freedom of kikka. The twin wraiths have released three aoe spells. The world tree spell will do senior rank damage, will reduce spell casting cap by 50% and sap 15 mana from everyone it touches. The first spell that Kiyoshi cast destroying the ground will deal grand rank damage to anyone on the ground within range (Sorry Valo this means nanami again poofs again. Q~Q) The fireball strike will deal senior rank damage to anyone within range. Ito himself has decided to take on Satori, if hit by the blade hits it will do grand damage and suppress buffs and healing on him.

Genesis Fantôme
La Poste
“The swirling circle that looks like a whirlwind.” Genesis squinted as she read off the rest of the runes in order for the mercenary to press. They had pushed on through into the tunnel after Nanami, the pep talks and library now behind them. It had been quite an experience back there, but she had a feeling that whatever was ahead of them was going to be something even more eventful. And she was right.
As the last rune was pushed, the spacial mirror's surface rippled like water. Without another thought, the little girl ran right through it, like it was something she did every day. The shadow mage raised an eyebrow at her male companion, then shrugged. Before she could say anything though, the familiar head poked through the portal and was urging them on. “Reunions are usually boring, but I guess that's not the case this time.” She smirked before also passing through the distorted space. She blinked a little when she realized where they were now standing.
Nanami had run on ahead to the Purple Orca headquarters, and Gen followed after her. Then, three consecutive explosions rocked the place and she picked up the pace. When she came upon the scene, it seemed that indeed, most of the group seemed to be there, plus a few more. Nanami had shouted something, though she was not sure to whom exactly.
Lilitu was there...though the daemonness did not look as powerful as she was earlier. She was also saying some things, but Gen did not understand what had transpired just minutes before. “What the hell happened here...” Gen muttered, though she did not really expect an answer. Valo, the Golden Dawn healer, and another unfamiliar face were also there, with a defense spell between them and two striking individuals. All she knew was that the latter duo did not seem too friendly.
Gen quickly glanced over the scene, trying to piece it all together. Were those two newcomers siblings of some sort or something? There were the remains of a broken tree-like defense spell—and traces of ash. Did Valo blast it through? “Hey, save us some fun!” She called out at the fire mage. So those two did not seem to be allies. More enemies on top of daemons. Then there was a smoke screen, and out stepped Ito and the water mage from earlier. Wonderful. The gang's all here.
The male daemon was addressing his sister with a smile—a genuine one from the looks of it—before turning to the group. Darkness was starting to cover his body, shrouding him in his magic. He then addressed the other unfamiliar face in the group, a large man who did not seem to have any connection to anyone else. Then he also had a few words with the two unnatural beings, though it was starkly void of any comradery. Was this almost like a three-way fight?
But now it was time to move.
Before she could blink, Ito was already engaging the unknown large man in a fight, sword out and swinging. Poignards. Gen quickly reached for her shadows, forming a shadow dagger. She cast a look at her teammates, if they were nearby. “I'm going to try breaking through and see if I can get a shot at those two.” Then, almost like an afterthought, “Bonne chance. Good luck. See you guys on the other side.”
Cold-Blooded. Then, to hopefully 'disappear' from the enemies' radar for a few minutes, Gen took a deep breath and drew her essence into herself. It was something she had never used in a real battle, but now seemed like a good time as any to put it into use. Then her hand brushed against something around her waist. Oh right, the lantern she was given earlier by Charlotte. Would it work here? That would quickly be put to the test.
The tree that had been forming was quickly growing, and as soon as it matured, it started releasing magical attacks from the cracking roots. Then the ground shook as one of the non-daemon male released his attacks, which in turn destroyed the tree. She would have easily been deleted if she had not felt the lantern glow. So it did protect her, at least for the present time. With all the falling debris, she did not see that her little guide had disappeared. But that was not the only spell going on. As if it was not enough, blue balls of fire started falling from the sky. With all these strong magical forces combined and being released, the Magic Knight base was swiftly being shredded and destroyed.
It was like hell on earth.
Nay. It was.
Now that she was properly armed, Gen edged in a little closer, not knowing if the two damage dealers could sense her presence or not. At first, her primary target was Ito, but it seemed like the large man would take care of him. Her focus had then moved on to the two beings apparently protecting the female daemoness. They were the ones dealing destruction, and should be quelled as soon as possible. Her knives could only go so far, but she only needed a clear shot at them...
Ending Solitude. Three quick taps at the bracelet around her wrist, and purple smoke began to emerge. When it dissipated, two of her dragon golems stood there, all ready for her command. With a simple wave, she pointed at the the duo and their change. “Tu vas. Go.”
The golems flew up in the air and drove straight for the enemies, attempting to break through and perhaps distract the male creature. She did not know if it would be enough, but if the spell caster would falter for a second, it might be enough for her to get a clear shot at those two. If it did, she would aim and throw her dagger at the female first. If all went well, her second dragon golem would go for the male damage dealer...

Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
"I know it is not normal etiquette to inform an enemy of your strengths and weaknesses, but, you are honorable but what you are currently doing is dishonorable ."
Valo's eyes quickly shifted to where Hinota was standing listening as she spoke, he was starting to get nervous with the way she was wording things. It seemed as if she was going to start putting herself in harms way, something that Valo was not going to agree with at all. One could make the argument that she had no place on the battlefield at all with her being a pacifist. But one could also make the argument that she belonged on the field more than anyone else. There was more to battle then just outright offense, there was defense, tactics, smarts, recovery. all things Hinota had in spades. Also bravery. Hinota being out here at all despite her beliefs made her the bravest of all. With all this mind when the flower mage decided to speak up and walk closer to the twin wraiths, of course he jolt instinct was to try and stop her. But he had to stop himself, he had to trust her. She wasn't going to unleash the strongest attack, or conjure the greatest defense. But what she was going to do was tide this entire battle more in there favor, with just her words. No one else could have done that but her.
So when a flower petal floated over his mouth to stop him from speaking it wasn't needed. Because he believed in her and trusted her calls to work out in the end. The one thing he was going to comment on though was the use of his full name being used, Valorisse. In addition to that was the added on Prince Valorisse. He didn't like it, titles like that were never his thing and was probably never going to be. He just preferred Valo but allot of people he tends to meet lately insist on calling him his full name. He would whisper only to himself "Just Valo is fine...you know what forget it...Doesn't even matter anymore."
Aside from that note it seemed like Hinota's plan on leveling the battle was working! It was an odd exchange for sure but it was taking effect somehow, so now instead of fighting three enemies with each one being more powerful than himself right now. He only had to focus on the one, and it was the male named Kiyoshi. The wraith used the fire element like him not only that but their flames were the same color, Valo though he was the only one with blue flames in Clover. He could no longer make that statement after today. But not only did the wraith use blue flames, he also used an extremely rare element called Sword. Using pure sword magic was not common at all, it was extremely rare and powerful. And the female used water and world tree another extremely rare kind of magic. For a moment Valo thought about who these two were in there actual lifetimes, maybe just maybe he would gotten the chance to know them. Perhaps a different lifetime.
"And you get off the battlefield before I change my mind due to your stupidity."
Valo heard this and raised an eyebrow, he didn't take well to his friends and allies being mocked or being called something outside their name. With his silver staff in his right hand he raised it and pointed it at Kiyoshi. He couldn't let something like that just go, he truly didn't like when people disrespected his friends.
"Don't call her that she's probably the smartest person in the room. " he said obviously talking to Kiyoshi.
Valo's eyes shifted to Lilitu when she stated he worried to much, maybe that was true he thought. Or maybe he didn't worry enough. She went on to say that even in her current condition she was still stronger than the two wraith guards. She continued to say that he was right he probably was going to regret what he said about them fighting all beside one another.
"Then we will fight as honorable men." Kiyoshi stating this caught Valo off guard for a moment, so these wraiths were about being honorable. It wasn't just talk.
"If you're a fool then so am I because I agree with your decision."
"Lilitu we probably would have been good friends in another lifetime."
"VALO!"
"YOU BETTER SHOW HIM HOW OUT MATCHED HE IS!"
Valo knew that voice! He quickly turned his head to the direction of it, to see Nanami running out of a spatial portal. An image of Nanami's dead body flashed in his mind, reminding him of the tragedy that occurred. He knew she was dead now, but what was this then? A trick? It sounded like Nanami and looked like her too.
"Nanami is that you?!" he shouted back at her, it couldn't be. But what if it was. He had to focus, no more mistakes could be made. He had to focus on the enemies in front of him. But it was hard to do that when more an more guests were arriving. Coming from the same portal was Genesis and Hans! and another person he had not seen before. It was almost like to much happening at once.
"Hans! Genesis! I'm so glad to see you two again!" Honestly the only two people he actually trusted coming into this mess way in the beginning. But it seemed not only allies came through from this portal but also more enemies to deal with. Ito. This was the first time Valo had seen Ito up close and not some illusion image or distance voice. It looked like things were finally coming to an end.
"You heard his words, he wants you to defend her with everything you have so do it."
Valo's eyes narrowed and looked towards the twin wraiths, they were preparing something and big! "Wait Kiyoshi I thought we were going to fight as men!" Valo shouted watching Anata form a large giant tree over them. The tall tree was tearing a hole into the Purple Orca's base and towering over it. Right after that blue flames started to swirl around it. Valo felt a small portion of his mana being sapped away, probably the effects of the World Tree spell.
“Hey, save us some fun!”
"Trust me I'm not trying to be greedy!" he shouted back in response to his partner Genesis. But there was no time to waste, the two wraiths were preparing something big. Valo remembered the lanterns that was given to him and his allies way in the beginning, he still had his on him and could tell so did Genesis and Hans. But the one person who didn't have her anymore was Hinota! Not wasting another second he dashed to her position. "I'm sorry Hino." was all he said to her right before hugging her tightly, not to tight where it would hurt but enough to know he wasn't going to let go. "I know most of your spells were casted on me, that leaves you vulnerable. I can't have that." he said to almost right into her ear softly. Valo's body was warm as it always was because of his fire element, he had a sense that she may have been uncomfortable being touched. But he had hoped she would just bare with it for now.
Hinota's first defensive spell blocked the damage coming from the world tree attack, but the shield did break. Another area attack coming from the ground was let loose blue flames rising from the concrete like it was Hell itself. Valo still holding Hinota closely saw the damage that was being caused, the Purple Orca base was in ruins and now more of Kikka was in ruins too. The image he saw of Nanami that got his attention earlier went poof, this angered him even though it wasn't real. He could still feel the anger rising in him, now at Kiyoshi and Anata.
Another area attack was coming this time from up above, a firestorm it looked like. Valo looked up at it with weariness in his eyes. "...So much destruction." was all he said before looking down at the lantern Charlotte gave him earlier. He activated it creating a 20 aoe meter defensive shield of blue flames. Hopefully protecting them from the attack coming up above, if not Valo's body would take the brunt of the damage so Hinota wouldn't get hurt.
With the series of attacks looking like it's finally over, Valo spoke to Hinota "If their done, we gotta stop them now. So lets do it and finally put an end to all of this. Sorry by the way" He gently let go of her now longer needing to stay hugged up against one another. He dashed away heading towards the two wraith twins. Knowing Genesis she probably was already on the offensive and trying to get some attacks in. He would also try his best now! "Budo!" he shouted summoning his new additions to his golem spells, the budo were fierce warrior like golems that mimicked his own fighting style. They were tall and respectfully strong, he summoned two of them at is current limit right now."Strike!" he shouted at them both would be heading towards each wraith aiming to land a solid punch on Anata and Kiyoshi.
Valo right behind his golems "Anataaaa! Kiyoshiiii!" he shouted at the top of his lungs fueled with a passion and a anger. "Sato no ken Kyoku!" he activated another spell forming his large two blue blades once more and sending each one at Anata and Kiyoshi!.

Hinota looked to Valo, she knew for a fact her words had likely made him uncomfortable but sometimes it was needed for the benefit of turning an uphill battle to a level battlefield. She had been fully aware she was walking where even angels would fear to tread. She had needed to word things delicately to get her point across without causing any true insult to the wraiths that would easily be able to wipe the floor with pretty much most of those that joined at the beginning of the endeavour. It was a delicate dance and she was more than versed with the steps of this particular one. She weaved the minefield gracefully bit even she knew that there was a few touchy situations however she hadn't once shown it, she had kept her composure. It turned out her gamble had worked out in their benefit, the battlefield was balanced.
It meant little as she withdrew, Valo's own words would soon enough undo what she had accomplished for him. From behind them a familiar voice was heard, turning around she saw the young girl who still adorned Vulkan's mantle. She knew the girl was dead, she knew that the daemons knew everything that had happened from the moment the two teams had entered thanks to the mana zone that was Kikka. It had kept her on the defensive the entire time, she didn't believe that Nanami was an illusion thanks to Lilitu's words. She had said that she wouldn't use the mother and daughter in the fight against Valo out of respect to the fire mage. It was a very odd situation for her as she would have believed the daemons would have done everything that they could to keep the upper hand but she had no wish to do that.
Soon enough what she had asked of Bengal and what Valo himself had said would come to an end and the true end would be seen. Before Bengal could strike the weakened daemoness a dark mist followed by a blinding light. The strike had been stopped but the shield had shattered what stood there holding the doll-like mage in surprise, there was a woman with silvery-blue hair as well as the daemon known as Ito, this time he was no illusion, he was real. What she found interesting was that the shield seemed to be of the light element but that was quite impossible, then again Charlotte had told them that both of the twin daemons held two elements. She had said one for Ito was dark while the other was an unknown, he had been gifted with two very powerful and very rare elements. It made sense that the shield was dark but influenced by the light element.
He watched as he released the woman whom he seemed to have had a grip on, telling her to go to her lover and that he didn't want to be the one responsible for her being harmed. That was going to be a bit of a stretch given they were fighting with each other. He also told the woman that this was how she could fulfil his wish, she had no idea what that was all about but Ito said something to his sister that was heartwarming that he would be there for her even if his wounds never left and he gained nothing but more pain. It was then it was known that Ito had heard Valo's words and told the two wraiths to do what was asked of them. She could tell in the microexpressions of Kiyoshi he didn't want to do it, but it was Valo's own words that he was technically following.
Soon enough they would see just how costly words would be, Ito himself had busied himself with Bengal leaving the twin wraiths to deal with the rest of the group. She hadn't even noticed Han's and Genesis had arrived by that point, that was bad given that she prided herself when it came to being aware of her surroundings. She looked to Valo as his anger raised "Valo, it's fine he's right." she called out to him, she didn't want to make the issues any worse because he felt like he needed to defend her honour. She was well aware that something like that was likely going to be said and she was already willing to accept it, Valo, on the other hand, seemed to have a completely different idea not liking the fact she had been insulted.
"Valo, honestly... it's fine." she had no idea if he would even listen to her but by the way things were looking it definitely wasn't in the cards. Soon a world tree would be created around the twin wraiths, she felt defeated she had tried her best to turn the tide of battle and yet it was all for nothing. Tears fell it was heartwrenching more so as the blue fires broke through the tree, the ground and sky. "Is this what hell looks like?" she asked, she was afraid she had done everything she could to protect Valo, she had only created one lotus and didn't know if she would be fast enough to control another. Before she could react to what was coming her way she felt something warm around her. She was going to throw her own safety to the wind to keep those who could fight safe.
It seemed as if Valo had other ideas however, the warmth she was feeling wasn't from the fire but from an embrace. This puzzled her but she brought her cherry blossoms close to them after the lotus closed, she brought her hands together making a second lotus "Protect Genesis" she whispered to the flower before she brought her hand away allowing it to fall to the ground like it had done the first time, the moment that it had Genesis would have the same pale blue lotus around her feet that would close the instant the spells of the others took effect, a second batch of cherry blossoms moving around her to absorb some more of the damage. She wasn't the strongest in defence but she was sure as hell going to try and protect people. Gen was closer to her own strength so deemed that she would need the protection more than others.
She moved her hands to Valo's chest strangely she felt comfort and safety how she was being embraced, she had never really been touched before this event and every time she had been she panicked but she wasn't with him. She could only put it down to the fact she had created contact first and his protective nature. He had already lost much to this ordeal she was sure he wasn't willing to lose any more if he could help it. It was strange just how quickly bonds could be made depending on the situation, she wasn't against this bond she wanted to nurture it if he would allow it. It wasn't exactly like she interacted with many people and would always be up creating meaningful connections. "Prince Kiyoshi didn't want to take this path, his hand was forced."
She said calmly watching as every defence between the two were destroyed in front of their eyes. She looked up to him and smiled gently "I would happily throw my own defence to the wind to help save this city, that means you are far more important than I am. I've already played my part... I can't do much more to help." she said knowing that now it all came down to those with offensive magic. She had truly made peace with the fact she could have died and it was seen all over her face, it wasn't exactly normal but she knew it was a possibility when she took on the job of a magic knight. She clenched her eyes, she could feel the change the darkness building up just as it had when Zaven had killed the owlbear during that day of training. The problem was if that released here she would be more of a hindrance to her allies.
'Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep... There is no death, there is no destruction.' she knew she was lying to herself but she needed to try something to settle this feeling she had. Hearing his words however she couldn't pretend and she looked up at him with deep indigo coloured eyes instead of the normal deep emerald green they were. She was panicked that much was clear. She listened to his words reforming the lotus bag at the bottom of his feet, the cherry blossoms were still flying around the area. She would make sure to follow the oncoming attacks and would move the blossoms to help protect who she could when it was needed. This honestly was their final stand and everyone had to play their part, this included her this wasn't going to be an easy battle to win.
