"When you spend so long trapped in darkness, you find that the darkness begins to stare back."
The runes were placed in the correct slots and the mirror would start to morph and ripple. Taking a step back, Hans watched as the portal activated. He then noticed Nanami go in, and instinctively, the merc held his arm out as if he wanted to stop her, but was too late. Fortunately, she peeked back out, reassuring the merc that she was safe, causing the dark mage to sigh softly. The girl may no longer be alive, but Hans still saw her like any other child, and he was not a fan of seeing children in danger. Hans glanced over at Gen as she made a little remark about reunions, causing the merc to smirk a bit in return before watching her step in. "Time to finish this..." Hans muttered to himself, but before stepping in, his grimoire started to glow, and a dark suit of armor formed around him. With his Corvi Armis spell active once again, Hans stepped through the portal to join the others.
Now in the Purple Orca base...which has clearly seen better days, Hans was just about to start looking around until he heard Nanami yell out some words of encouragement to a certain flame-headed mage. Looking over, Hans saw Valo and Hinota. As Valo yelled out to the others, Hans simply gave him a silent nod, but underneath his helmet was another small smirk. Hans was glad to see that both Magic Knights were still alive and kicking, but at the same time, Hans wasn't all too surprised. Knowing Valo, he wasn't the type to go down so easily, nor allow the same to happen to his allies.
Valo and Hinota weren't the only ones here, however. There were some others...one of them being the female daemon. There also appeared to be other two folks that were on the daemon's side, plus a towering brutish-looking man who looked kind of familiar. Has Hans seen him somewhere before...or perhaps heard of him? It didn't matter now, however. This was cooking up to be the beginning of the end...so Hans needed to focus.
Seems that Ito has arrived as well...along with that Silva woman. Hans had his sights on Ito, but then the daemon spoke coldly to those other two figures, and from the corner of his eyes, the merc watched as said figures went towards each other and started whispering. They now had the dark mage's full attention as the ground started to shake, and a tree was beginning to take shape, growing larger.....and larger!
“I'm going to try breaking through and see if I can get a shot at those two. Bonne chance. Good luck. See you guys on the other side.”
Those words caused Hans to look over at the redhead. To Hans, it sounded like the shadow mage had some doubts about getting out of this chaos alive...and honestly, he couldn't blame her. The merc wasn't going to lie and say that "Everything will be okay." or "We'll make it out alive." Those lines felt more like a Valo thing which the thought of it made the merc chuckle lightly. "Good luck." was all Hans would say as he saw Gen 'disappear'. Hans had faith in her stealth tactics, and he also has faith in Valo's straightforward tactics as well as Hinota's support. Ito appeared to be going after that towering male so at least that meant that the stranger was on their side.
'Guess I'll take to the air.' Hans thought to himself. Seeing as most of the stuff was happening on the ground, Hans thought that some aerial support would do fine.
Hans was about to grab his greatsword from its sheath to summon his raven golem...but before he could, the great tree was finish and the sheer power of this spell was affecting Hans' defensive spell. It caused Hans' armor to crack up, but it did not break completely courtesy of the mana zone currently strengthening his dark element. That wasn't the only thing happening, however. Hans could feel some of his mana being siphoned by this spell as well, and as he looked down at his armored hand, Hans watched as some of his mana left it, heading towards that tree. "Dammit." Hans gritted his teeth a little, but he wasn't going to let this stop him. "I summon the Raven's Bite." Hans said as he placed a hand on the sheath of his greatsword. The darkness that poured out of the sword started to once again take shape into a raven with piercing red eyes!
Getting on top of the golem, Hans flew into the air but made sure not to go too high so that he could still have view. His eyes were set on those two figures that cast the tree spell, but his attention went right to the ground as he witnessed it starting to break and crack up, flames rising from them as if the very gates of Hell were opening up right under them! Fortunately for Hans, he was high enough in the air that these flames didn't reach him, but he was concerned for the others. Hans used his control to summon a second raven golem now flying beside him, intending to use it to save any of the others but from what he can tell, the others appeared to have handled this themselves...at least he hopes.
Hans was now glaring down at the male and female beings, causing both of his golems to look in the same direction as well. His focus was now fixed on the male one, and Hans pointed at him, signaling the raven golem that he wasn't riding to dive down towards the male figure in an attempt to strike him with its sharp wings! As this happened, fireballs were now raining from the sky which seemed very much impossible to avoid! Hans gritted his teeth and was going to attempt to tank it with whatever was left of his armor, but then he caught sight of something attached to his side. It was that lantern the merc received a while back! He had yet to use it...but it looks like now was the time.
Quickly taking it from his side, Hans held the lantern up and darkness poured out of it, surrounding him in a smoke-like form. If successful, the lantern's defenses will protect Hans and the golem he was riding from the attack, but afterward, the lantern would shatter, having been used up.
If Hans made it out of that unscathed, he'd sigh lightly before dropping what remains of that lantern to the ground. His attention was now once again on those two figures as Hans prepared to use the secondary effect of his Corvi Armis spell, unsure if his second golem was able to get an attack in or if it ended up getting destroyed by those fireballs. From the darkness that naturally surrounds his armor, Hans pulled out two dark swords, holding one in each hand. Just by holding them, Hans could tell that their strength was enhanced as well.
The armored dark mage looked over to Gen then to Valo who both appeared to be readying themselves to strike down those two figures. Timing it with their attacks, a dark smoke-like aura formed around Hans as he threw both dark swords from above, each of them meant to strike down those two wraiths! The others were giving it all they got, so Hans had to as well!
He came into this cursed town together with those two and one way or another intended to finish this with them!

gdi Hans
Also all of Hans' Obsolete spells are a rank higher now due to the dank and dark Mana Zone
Cast Corvi Armis self which has been buffed to Sr. due to Mana Zone
Used Corvi Armis to defend against the tree aoe, leaving it at x1 Sr Health
Tree still sapped 15 mana and halved Hans' grimoire spell usage, making it 1.5 since he had 3 at the time and Im also guessing that rounds it up to 2?
Summoned Raven's Bite golem and used it to go into the air.
Most likely avoided ground aoe due to being in air
Used control to summon one more Raven golem and attempted to attack Kyoshi with it for Int. Dmg most likely didn't make it because of the fireball aoe though.
Used lantern to protect self and the golem he's riding from fireball aoe.
Using the attack part of Corvi Armis to throw two swords at Arata and Kyoshi, moving at the spell's speed in an attempt to deal Sr. Dmg to both of them.
Using their grimoire, the user forms an armor of darkness around themselves and/or others for defensive purposes. Through the dark smoke surrounding the armor, the user can pull out a sword crafted from darkness for him or for others to use. The sword can be wielded like an ordinary weapon by anyone, but only the conjurer is capable of controlling them with their mana. The amount of armor and swords that can be summoned follows the ammo rules (Defense Buff will decrease to +4 Durability if more than one armor is summoned) (Spell gains +5 Durability)

Daemon were not to be trifled with. This is something that Satori already knew to be true, for they had killed his father. His father that, in his mind, was still far stronger than he was even now. He would not hold back, nor pause to let there be discussion. Battle had begun, and to Satori that meant either he, or the enemies would die.
June's familiar ki appeared, and with a crackle of lightning Satori appeared and wordlessly scooped June onto his back. Skidding along the ground and spinning the spear in one hand before focusing on Ito that had manifested, that was still talking for some reason. He spared only a few words to his love.
"Fight with me, Flower," he murmured, before a sound similar to a thunderstrike filled the air as Satori flickered forward. Moving even faster now as he began to warm up right as Ito dashed forward, he was strong, fast. But Satori was able to casually outpace archmage spells at his current speed. As the sword shot toward him, the mass of muscle casually stepped to the side before spinning the spear and noting the tree, flickering to avoid the roots and leaves casually as the world continued to move at a snail's pace around him.
The spell combination would probably deal mass destruction to the town. But the wraiths would disappear with their owner, as would the spell, that was a fact he knew all too well due to his own usage of the magic. So be it, then.
The spear spun, igniting with brilliant light as the tigers roaring face re-manifested, and as Ito's blade struck thin air whizzing past Satori's features the spear suddenly lunged forward. Seeming to disappear with the speed of the man's movements to slam a barrage of stabs, all aimed directly at Ito's head and upper-torso. Ruthless to the very end, intending to end the battle as quickly as possible. He still had another daemon to kill.
As the spear stabbed forward with an explosion of magical power, his wings beat, aiming to remove Ito's head after impalement to free his spear so that he could flicker away from whatever remained to kill the other demoness. Taking out the caster with his speed was the best option he had to nullify the spells from destroying most of the town at this point.
All attacks are moving at 143m/s. Wings are aiming to cut her in half or anything that gets in his way, initial impact is white tiger for an additional Grand damage, followed by a barrage of spear strikes that caps at Archmagex3 in a single post done this way due to Brute perk.
Power is buffed to 282 via Apex. Wings deal Archmage damage. This can target anything that gets in his way and Ito at once via ammo rules. Each physical strike deals Grand+INT+Junior damage+Grand damage from white tiger. Satori and his attacks are all moving at 146m/s. Due to how reaction speed rules work and no speed listed for Ito/spells/etc I have no idea who can dodge/block/etc. But assuming max damage is dealt this deals a total of Archmage x4 and 1 Grand.

Everyone that had stuck it through or had turned up after the fact was now in one place, it was now truly the fight to free Kikka from the darkness that had enshrouded it. From above the group explosions could be heard and a bright light would be seen, this made the daemoness look up smiling gently "He's been defeated, those on the other side of the town have been given away to leave." she said more to herself than anyone else, Ito just nodded showing he understood. The shadow palace had begun to explode but large pieces still fell to the ground, unknown to anyone shards had broken off and landed elsewhere that would be trouble but for another time. Lilitu's eyes went around to the destruction that her wraiths had caused, she had said that no one else had to be hurt, no one else had to be sacrificed.
This destruction made her a liar, she was a daemon so of course, they would have expected nothing less, in fact, she was quite sure they wouldn't believe a single word out of her mouth regardless. She had watched everything unfold from the day the invasion started up until that point, the only destruction she herself had done was when she killed the hospital staff due to an angel of death killing six innocent children that had been badly hurt. She still couldn't see herself or her kind as monsters when mortals were just as if not worse than they were, she knew it was a controversial point of view. Ito kept telling her they accepted their natures where mortals tried to pretend they didn't have darkness within them, and those who did accept the darkness had tried to make it all for the greater good or had some excuse for it.
Daemons were inherently evil beings she knew this but she and Ito had lost that want to hurt and kill over the last hundred years. Ito because well he had been betrayed by the one person he trusted, sure he had hatred in his veins but he was in a constant state of agony being neither alive nor dead. He had more pressing things on his mind than causing suffering. Whereas Lilitu herself lost that same will to do harm when she was deceived by her former lover's sister, leading to her killing the one she now understood she could rely on no matter what the situation was. She looked down at the necklace in her hand, all the love Ito could have mustered all that time ago had been used to create its pendant.
A promise of love and devotion from one sibling to another, his last wish was still held within it she was sure. Due to what had happened she had made it house some wraith she treasured even now, they betrayed her but she still wanted to protect them from the ire of her brother. Soon enough their last wishes were trapped within it too. Two more had been added within the last month, their love, devotion and wishes trapped within it for the one they cared for the most. It was a satisfying full circle the necklace had taken and it would be soon that her own last wishes would be added into the mix. "Last wishes... seems like a fitting name for this trinket." she said to herself, her eyes went up as she saw her brother fighting the hulk of a man after he got his lover away from Ito. Her eyes then went to Genesis and Hans who were now attempting to help with the twin wraiths.
The last people her eyes ended up look at were the flower and fire mages, the flower mage was one of the weakest here she could sense it, she was also the only one who had done nothing offensive. She had put her own defensive magics to work on trying to protect the fire mage as much as she could while it left her pretty much an open duck. She noted that hadn't sat well with Valo and so he had moved over as quickly as he could and hugged her so they could both gain the protection of every shield spell and defence they had. All three had been shattered but neither had taken damage, she could tell by the way they were positioned that Valo had every intention of taking the brunt of whatever was still to come, it made her smile.
Soon enough she stood and walked across the battlefield, she knew she could overpower most spells that would be thrown her way especially in a mana zone of darkness and Ito would make sure she was protected against those they couldn't with a shield. She looked to her twins who hadn't been quite reached by the shadow, dark or fire mage just yet "Dnaeqayq siz, hiedar qae siz oz im siz laengz labbia zes aelr" Her tone for the first time stern as if she wasn't going to take arguments from the pair, they bowed "As you say we will do." Kiyoshi said his voice less than happy that was clear "I will listen mistress." it was clear even Anata had wanted to argue but neither did, they accepted whatever she had said. She waved her hands and with another bow, they vanished as did their spells almost like they had never been there.
If it hadn't been for the destruction that would have easily been the case. The hits meant for the wraiths she had taken head-on but they had just hit against a shield of what was seemingly light. Everyone should know that light was unable to do defensive things meaning it was nothing more than one element bleeding into another giving it a different appearance. She moved to Valo and took his warm hand in her own tepid hand and placed the necklace into it. "Ito put all his love into creating this necklace for me when we were young..." she said looking over to her brother who was still dodging a barrage of attacks before looking back to him, "I think that's why he so cold nowadays... love after all isn't something that comes easy to my kind." she said faintly she was looking frailer by the minute.
"There are many last wishes kept within the pendant now... in time you'll understand what I mean by that but I hope you will use it to protect those that you love, like it... has protected me... when... when I've needed it." she moved her hand to her head and she began to fall, Ito took the onslaught of attacks as he disengaged the fight with Satori, it honestly didn't mean anything to him at that moment, Lilitu did. He managed to catch her just before she hit the floor and cradled her in his arms holding her close believing that she had truly passed. Tears streaming down his eyes the cage that housed his flame expanding to the point it was about to burst. He felt a hand move to his cheek that made his eyes go wide "Ito..." Lilitu whispered making the make nod holding her closer to him. He kept his eyes opened and smiled contently they both did, the strangest thing was they were both glowing with a gentle light that quickly got brighter.
As it did the runes that were once purple started to glow brightly of the same white colour, cracks of light moving from where the pair were knelt together appearing and forming into a seal and creating a dome "Are you sure about this, there is no turning back?" Ito asked "It's time for the neverending cycle of darkness to end for everyone." she said moving her hand to his, he nodded the cracks quickly moving around the darkness like fragile glass that was about to shatter. It was clear that this was taxing on the male daemon but he was continuing to push forward with the spell he was casting, veins of light going over their skins almost matching those that could be seen on the grander scale of Kikka. He looked at Genesis "Try to keep your temper under control, I don't want to meet you again until you do so you can prove me wrong." he spoke but only Gen would be able to hear his words.
He then looked to Hans who was flying above "The past is unable to be altered or changed, darkness will always follow as will doubt and regret. Don't let them weigh you down because it could prevent you from acting when it matters the most and you could lose someone precious." he again spoke but this time only Hans would hear it. He had already had his small heart to heart with June before they left the library so no more words had to be spoken there. The light finally got to the top of the darkened dome that surrounded Kikka. The moment it did Ito closed his eyes and started to say something under his breath, the words were in a different ancient language but it was clearly not a spell but a prayer. The darkness around Kikka started to shatter.
It was due to the sudden brightness no one would have been able to really see what was going on with the twins, they had started to break and disintegrate as if they were made out of ash. Soon enough they were completely gone and any trace of them was lost to the wind.
The neverending darkness had finally come to an end...
Story:
Well done, Kikka has been freed from the darkness.

Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
Enough was enough!
That was the only thing going through Valo's mind as he sent his golems and his attacks towards the two wraiths. All this destruction around them in his home, this never ending feeling of hopelessness. Enough was enough. He wanted to put an end to it, to stop it, to finally be rid of all this. Even if it meant giving up his own life he was willing and ready to do so without any second thought. He knew he was clearly outmatched not only by Lilitu and her twin Ito but by her wraiths as well. But that didn't matter to him, it never did. He was willing and ready to die at this very moment.
His two golems had pushed forward with their strikes but they were stopped by a shield, his two blue flamed blades were also stopped by the defensive shield. Not only that but it seemed everyone's offensive pursuit was put to a halt. Rage in his eyes his sole focus was Kiyoshi and Anata, especially Kiyoshi who had gave his word on them having a fair fight. But it seemed he went back on it. If he could stop them somehow, fight them, get them to take him seriously, if he could just land one hit...
A blue flaming dragon started to coil around his right arm, this was a new spell that he made sure to master before coming back to Kikka. His strongest spell in his grimoire right now. He was saving it for the right time, and now was better than never. The long blue flames started to encircle his entire body with the head of the dragon right on his fist. A look of focus and pure determination in Valo's eyes, nothing was going to stop or distract him.
"Dai-San!... Tenkaaa!!!"
He threw his fist forward aiming towards Kiyoshi and Anata and a large blue flaming dragon started to charge towards them with wide open jaws and sharp blazing teeth.
But with a wave of Lilitu's hand and one bow the two wraiths had vanished in thin air. Valo's attack had left a long streak of blue embers on the ground that was a direct path to the twin wraiths former position. Some of the ground was burnt and damaged, leaving slight evidence of a long crater. But with Valo looking shocked at their sudden disappearance, his eyes shifting all over the battlefield trying to find their location again. but his eyes stopped moving when Lilitu had suddenly approached him and gently took his hand in her own. A confused Valo looked at the daemon, he could tell she was getting weaker and weaker by the minute. He felt an item slip into his hand and looked to see a beautiful necklace that was warm, "What is this...?"
She answered him stating that Ito made this necklace for him when they were younger, and it's probably why he is so cold now. And that love isn't something that comes easy for them. Valo still looking confused "Lilitu I think you are capable..." he didn't finish his sentence. How could he she was the enemy, a Daemon, a tool for evil and destruction. And she had to be stopped. So why didn't he want to hurt her?
"There are many last wishes kept within the pendant now... in time you'll understand what I mean by that but I hope you will use it to protect those that you love, like it... has protected me... when... when I've needed it."
This sentence from Lilitu left the young fire mage even more confused, she was giving him a gift? But why? Was this some kind of trick? But she wouldn't stoop to something that low, at least not now, not anymore. He looked to the Daemon once more and saw she was falling, his first instinct was to catch her but her brother Ito was there in a blink to catch his sister. Some whispers were exchanged between the two, as if things were finally coming to an end. Valo watched some weird magics at work that surrounded the two, they started to glow a bright light.
"It's time for the neverending cycle of darkness to end for everyone."
Hearing these words made Valo's eyes widen. Was it finally coming to an end? Like that? For what felt like an eternal nightmare was finally ending? Maybe this was a nightmare, a long dream that he had to finally wake up from. But it wasn't that and he knew it. Valo wrapped the necklace around his hand and in between his fingers, he didn't trust this gift yet, these 'Last Wishes'
Did these Daemon's actually care? It was an odd feeling and behavior, but Valo's mindset on these daemon's had changed so drastically. When he was first trapped in the large dome that covered Kikka, he didn't even want to bother remembering their names. Only referring to them as devils and monsters, enemies that had no sense of compassion. Something to point all of his hatred at, but now he didn't really feel that way. His mindset had changed completely.
The light had finally reached the top of the darkened dome that surrounded Kikka for so long, and it shattered. Valo clenched the necklace given to him by Lilitu tightly looking up at the sky. A very heavy burden had finally been lifted off his shoulders, a sigh of overwhelming relief escaped his lips. They finally did it.
The sudden brightness blinded the fire mage for a bit, but when he could see again Lilitu and Ito were gone. Valo was left standing there with a weary expression on his face the necklace 'Last Wishes' in his right hand his silver staff 'Hinokagutsuchi' in his left. It had felt like such a long time since he had seen sunlight in Kikka, he just wished the people that were lost and gone could see it too, that...

'It was never going to end was it?'
These were the words that went through the mind of the doll-like mage, everyone was fighting so hard but it didn't seem to be enough. Right now Hans, Genisis and Valo were fighting against the wraiths with everything they had, but as of yet, not a single attack had yet to land. Their defences were so powerful, if they couldn't get past what were deemed as the weakest enemies on the battlefield how were they going to deal with the actual threats? How would they be able to deal with the two daemons that still stood in their way between victory and defeat? Throughout this whole ordeal, the twin daemons hadn't so much as raised a finger to help nor hinder them, it was odd she had to admit. It was almost as if they had their own agenda, the problem was most of them didn't know it.
Her eyes moved around the battlefield, Ito and Satori had started a fight after words between Ito and Lilitu has been said. Lilitu was obviously getting weaker but she said something about her brother and this being her penance. It seemed odd, why would they care about redemption especially about hurting people or others of their kind? The movements between the large man and Ito were so fast she could barely keep up, it was up in the air on who was actually winning because as one struck the other dodged. She almost felt as if she was in an entire realm of existence completely. Still, it had come to an end as quickly as it had started as Ito disengaged as Lilitu fell to the ground after handing something to Valo. She had said something that made her wonder something.
She looked around and the wraiths of the prince and princess were no longer to be seen, she knew that they hadn't been strong enough to defeat them, which meant the woman now held in her brothers arms must had unsummoned them. Her eyes went to the necklace that Valo now held, she was so confused. These daemons acted more human than she would have expected, this was the real illusion she believed. It truly made a person who the monsters were in the world. All anyone could do is watch as the crying Ito cradled what was the body of his sister, it had been the most emotion she had seen from the little she had of the man. He was going into grief, her eyes instantly darted to the birdcage which had started to expand. That would end badly she was about to say something when it stopped and a small voice was heard from Lilitu.
The moment she spoke they began to glow, smiling as if they were at peace and completely content with the path they were now taking. The purple runes going from purple to light, cracks started to show on the shadow and even their skin. It was a strange magic, a strange spell one likely forgotten or not even of this world. She looked at the others as she was hoping that one of them would understand but no answer came. Ito said things but it was obvious that it wasn't meant for her ears as she heard not a word. Soon enough the shadow that had befallen Kikka vanished as the cracks reached the top of what was the dome, she covered her eyes with her hand and arm instinctively as many others likely had. After a long moment, she lowered it to look around.
She had to blink as her eyes got accustomed to the light once more after spending what seemed like an eternity in darkness. The daemonic twins were nowhere to be seen. Her mana wasn't the best and where she knew Ito was fast he knew his sister's fading health would prevent too much from happening. Her eyes went to the birdcage, it was empty. "They're gone..." she whispered knowing what it meant, the nightmare had finally come to an end. They had won this fight due to the pair having a change of heart and never really wanting to be part of it but something within her knew that this was far from over. There was more to come, there had to be. It could be that she always believed there was worse out there but for now, she would accept the brief reprieve awarded to them.
"I... I'll come to visit Valo." she whispered unsure if the other had heard her words. She looked to where the taller male was with the woman that had appeared with Ito but it already seemed as if they were starting to walk off. They had done what they had set out to do and that was enough for them "Thank you for your help." she called out softly. Her eyes looked around the destruction, Kikka had been saved but the scars would take time to heal... Valo's pain would take time to heal... She looked to the green mantis mage once more "They would be proud of you." she said squeezing his arm lightly, he had lost much in this and she made a silent promise to herself that she would help and support him in any way she could and that started by finding out who took his family from him.
She knew that would mean she would have to go home to get such aid, for him she would do it, he would need to heal and they needed to face the consequences of their actions or that pain would fester into a darkness that he may never escape from. She wouldn't allow him to do that, she would make sure he and they would gain peace. "We should go to make sure Charlotte and Nanami are safe." she said gently pointing to the cracks in the floor, neither of them knew just how far out their spells reached "You could even tell them what happened." she suggested before turning to leave heading for the house she had met the mother and daughter believing that Valo may follow her.
"When you spend so long trapped in darkness, you find that the darkness begins to stare back."
All of his mistakes...the sins he has committed while trapped in this daemon-ruled town, it was time for Hans to make up for all of them! The merc's mind was clear, clearer than it has been on his first visit to Kikka. He was now standing on top of his raven golem as he watched closely at not just his, but the other spells targeting those wraiths! The merc was determined to finish them off, to put an end to all of this. But it appears that those attacks will not be reaching their marks.
Hans gritted his teeth a bit under his helmet, watching as those spells were effortlessly destroyed by a shield of..light? Impossible...Perhaps it was more than just light? Hans didn't have enough time to ponder on this as he noticed Valo engulfed in his blue flames, burning ever so hot like the rage he must've been feeling within. His yell, his frustration, Hans could feel it all from all the way in the air. The dark mage could only imagine how much Valo went through while the group got separated, and the fact that this is all happening in the town he grew up in. Valo was preparing to attack, that much was obvious...and Hans couldn't let his ally, no...friend go through this alone.
With his greatsword out now, Hans gripped it in one hand as he commanded his raven golem to fly downward, pointing at the target. "Strike!" With sword in hand, Hans and his golem were now soaring downward, ready to strike in unison with Valo...but at the last second, the armored merc took notice of the wraith's bowing...then just like that, they were gone! "What...?" In an attempt to not collide into Valo, Hans commanded his golem to fly back upward just as the enraged fire mage stopped, the dark smoke surrounding his aura leaving a temporary trail similar to Valo's.
Hans didn't even get time to try and figure out where those wraiths had gone since from his view, he already saw the daemoness, Lilitu heading Valo's way. "Valo, watch ou-" but before the dark mage could finish, his cosmic necklace had started to glow a bit around his neck. "Huh?" Hans grabbed the jewel part of his necklace with his free hand, looking at the starry symbols within. He didn't activate the relic, so why was it glowing? The merc then looked down at the daemoness and blinked. Was it...reacting to something....to her? Hans couldn't quite explain it...but something was telling him that it might be the case.
The daemoness was now handing the fire mage something...a pendant from the looks of it. But why....? The merc could not make sense of this interaction between the two...between enemies, but the dark mage did not feel inclined to attack. He just stood there on top of his golem, lowering his greatsword a bit. It was at this point, Hans started to see them as more than just daemons...but instead as beings with their own share of issues, struggles....emotions. He was starting to see a trace of.....humanity in them.
After speaking, it appears that Lilitu was about to fall over, but then Ito swooped in to catch her. After a few exchanges of words, cracks of light and a dome started to form. Hans tightened the grip on his greatsword a bit since he wasn't sure what was happening and still wanted to remain cautious...but then he looked up, and his eyes widened as he noticed cracks forming around the dark dome.
"It's time for the neverending cycle of darkness to end for everyone."
Was this, truly happening? As Hans continued to look up, he heard a familiar voice ring through his head once more. He looked down at Ito, noticing the cracks appearing around him and Lilitu. Were these...his parting words to the dark mage? "Ito..." Hans muttered under his breath, his tone not specifically sympathetic, or angry. He was still a bit uncertain about his enemies...but the words this daemon exchanged with Hans were very much true, and the merc could not deny it. Hans looked down at his own armored hand and thought a bit about Ito's words. A faint dark aura surrounded that hand just as the dark mage clenched it before looking back up at Ito, giving him a silent nod. He may not exactly trust Ito...but he was still going to follow those words.
The merc was never going to let his past weigh him down ever again so that he can properly protect those he cherishes...to protect his beloved.
That light reached the top of the dome and suddenly there was a blinding flash, causing Hans to place an arm over his face to shield his eyes. Once it was finished, Hans slowly lowered his arm and saw that the daemon and daemoness were gone....so was the darkness surrounding the town.
The sky....after what felt like an eternity was visible. It almost felt unbelievable.
With that, Hans and his golem went back to the ground then once he got off, he summoned the raven back into the greatsword before placing it back in its sheath. He was about to walk over to Valo but then saw that Hinota was with him. Not wanting to disturb them, Hans simply crossed his arms and gave a small amused smirk in their direction as his armor faded. He then looked around for June and that towering man, but it seems they had already started to leave. Assuming that he could see Gen again, Hans would turn his attention to her. "Guessing we won't be seeing each other on the other side then." he said, making a small jest at what the shadow mage said previously.
Still...Hans couldn't believe they did it. Darkness had been vanquished and Light was restored....

Explosions. Distortions. Destruction.
The world is ending.
Or is it?
Far off in the distance, the shadow palace had exploded, though the shadow femme barely noticed it. She had let her dragons and daggers fly towards the two wraiths, but at the very last moment, both of her targets disappeared. Instead, they hit the daemoness, though they only bounced harmlessly off her light shield. Gen bit down on her lower lip. There was no way she was strong enough to even make a scratch on these daemons—who was she fooling?
Only herself, apparently.
But even the dark mage's raven attacks seemed to do nothing to the powerful female. Valo was yelling his battle cry...then all seemed to still. Before she knew it, the daemoness was there by Valo and Hinota, and Gen stiffened. She did not hear the words that were exchanged, but she was wary of the enemy being so close to her allies. She had started running towards them, but she would not make it in time...
Not that it was necessary.
A dome was forming around the daemon siblings, and everyone seemed to hold their breath. Gen stilled, but her heart was hammering wildly against her chest.
"It's time for the neverending cycle of darkness to end for everyone."
And then the male's voice specifically to her: "Try to keep your temper under control, I don't want to meet you again until you do so you can prove me wrong."
“Again?” The redhead cocked an eyebrow at that implication. It was not like they were going to meet again after this...right? But there would be no definite answer. Cracks appeared on the dome, and light started streaming out from it. A strangely beautiful sight, in the midst of all this ghastly war zone. She could hear the strange intonations, of a language she could not and likely would never understand. Light flooded the entire area, breaking through the chains of darkness.
Finally, it seems like the balance has been restored.
After two long months, light had touched upon Kikka. The first of many. A day, and another day. Or had time passed at all? It seemed like even time itself had ceased to exist in this shadow realm, a mere element that had been swallowed up by stronger influences. As soon as the light dissipated, there was nothing left in its place. No daemons, no servants, no trace. Nothing.
Plop! The final shadow dagger Gen had in her hand slipped out of her grasp and landed harmlessly on the ground. She may not have understood all the implications between the daemons themselves, but one thing she did know...

These finely crafted black leather boots seem to give off an unsettling energy to any that get to close, they come midway up the shin and have seven silver buttons and seem to have an elastic-like band or string that comes behind the boot and loops over the silver buttons to keep the shoes in place.
Lore: After a compliment to an enemy about their boots and where to get a set just like them for themselves, these boots have found their way to their current owner from said enemy with a note that reads "I hope you like the gift. ~Ito" Whether it is meant to be a taunt or mocking no-one but the sender knows, still they are a really nice set of leather boots.
Name of the Ability: Enigmatic Enhancement Type & Uses: N/A Rank & Specialization: Intermediate ¦ Physical Reinforcement Mana Cost: N/A Range & Speed: N/A ¦ 20 m/s Stats Affected: Endurance Description: The wearer of these boots may feel a little strange while they wear them, it would almost feel as if nothing in the world could harm them or if they could then it would be a lot harder to do. This is because of the endurance buff they give ignore the damage of a single spell or attack per post equal to the rank, or below the current rank of the boots. If the opposing attacker has +20 power to the wearers durability stat they will deal half that spell’s rank in damage. If they have +30 power, the wearer will not be able to ignore any of the damage. This is able to ignore ALL ammo of the single ability/spell that is ignored.
The user can completely mask their mana signature and presence from anyone regardless of either's sensory stat or Ki abilities, this may last up to three posts before it is faded. This can be used twice a thread.

An amethyst like smoke seems to creep out of it and creates a cloud around eight meters in each direction soon enough the smoke dissipates and where it once was, sits a pale amethyst dragon around six meters tall by three meters long. Using ammo rules more of these dragons can be created capping at 4 as this is an intermediate spell and is able to carry two persons on their back. This dragon golem seems friendly enough but will follow its owner orders via an unseen magical tether using its long horns, claws, teeth, butterfly-like wings and tail as weapons for attacking. With some time and training, the golems could get advance in development although it also means less would be able to be made.

Rank & Element: Junior ¦ Dark Class & Type: Relic ¦ Weapon (Karambit) Magic Specializations: Physical Reinforcement ¦ Hex and Curse Appearance & Lore: A simple set of Karambit that look like they have been well used over time. The edges, however, are still as sharp as the day they were made. The blades themselves are three inches long, while the handles are black and are about two inches long. The handles have what looks to be skulls with wings coming from them, over and red overlapping cord to allow for a better grip.
It is said that during the era of the fourth wizard king an assassin from the Spade Kingdom was sent in the attempts to take the 'head of the snake' believing that it would weaken the resolve of Clover Kingdom. It was a time of civil unrest within the forsaken region thanks to constant bandit attacks and natural disasters.
Using this for cover, the assassin was sent to live within Clover the day before they were due to gain their grimoire. Gaining theirs the day after they worked hard and even gained acceptance into one of the magic knight squads, working their way up the ranks as was expected of them. Even though they were becoming fond of the kingdom they now had made their home, they knew of their mission and would see it through.
Eventually, they transferred out to work within the office of the wizard king as one of the many assistants. Years of hard work and living a lie was soon to come to an end. On the moon harvest that year that is when they decided to strike and almost succeeded, at the last moment he saw a young girl no more than a few years old run to him and hug the wizard kings leg with a smile.
It was at that moment he decided then and there that the lie the assassin had been living was the one before his life in Clover. They confessed everything later that night to the Wizard King and was never heard from or seen again. Speculation has it that he was used by the Wizard King to help protect against the threats sent by their former home. Whether this is true or not... no one actually knows.
Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 Cooldown Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Physical Reinforcement Mana Cost: 8 ¦ 4 Range & Speed: 12.5m ¦ 5 m/s Stats Affected: +2 m/s speed Description: Over the wielder's hands and feet appears what can only be described as very fine darkened shadow wisps that could be mistaken for smoke, mist or shadow this is where someone would be mistaken. This ability allows the wielder's speed to be increased by +2 m/s. Even if disarmed so longs the wielder is within range and this spell is active they still gain the benefit of this buff.
Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 cooldown Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Hex and Curse Mana Cost: 8 ¦ 4 Range & Speed: 12.5m ¦ 5m/s Stats Affected: -5 mana regen, Healing Suppression, Blind Description: The blades of the karambit almost seem to take on a black hue to the edge of them, it is so fine that it would be easy to miss it if you didn't know what you are looking for. Upon a successful hit, it will create a black wound like mark where the strike happened. This wound not only reduces mana regen by -5 but also attempt to suppress any healing cast upon the person potentially even harming them as per the clashing rules. When a person is hit by this ability for the first time, they would almost feel as if they have been engulfed in darkness as they are blinded for a single round. After that initial hit, it will not matter how many other times they find themselves stuck, they will be immune to the abilities blindness until the ability is reactivated again after its cooldown and they are once more damaged.
Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 Uses ¦ 2 Cooldown Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Physical Reinforcement ¦ Hex and Curse Mana Cost: 8 ¦ 4 Range & Speed: 12.5m ¦ 5m/s Stats Affected: Junior Strength Buff, -5 Mana Regen, Buff Surpression, knockback Description: What appears to be black gloves appear around the hands of the wielder, this allows them to do junior physical damage even if they are disarmed so longs this ability is active and they are within range of the karambits. This acts much like Sleeping Weakness where the edge of the blades take on a fine darkness but this time it almost appears viscous if you were to look and find it. When a person is struck with the blades this time they find themselves being knocked back by 2 meters with an additional 5 meters being added for every 10 power the wielder has as per the knockback rules. This time when being struck the wound takes the shape of a black seal that almost looks oily at first glance. The seal gives a -5 to mana regen and attempts to suppress any buffs cast upon the person with it potentially debuffing them as per the clashing rules.
Rank & Element: Junior ¦ Light Class & Type: Relic ¦ Accessory (bracelet) Magic Specializations: Physical Reinforcement ¦ Healing Appearance & Lore: A simple bracelet made out of reinforced glass with an opalite charm dangling from it almost like a pendulum, that gives off a dull light during the day and a bright light during the night preventing any natural shadow from forming.
There is nothing of major historical importance or deep story into where this item came from. The white-haired heir of the Ravencrest family has suffered from terrible day and night terrors since he was young and still does to this day. When asked what is wrong he brushes it off telling people not to worry it was a condition he had. He will never go into the terrible things he sees, in fact, he personally wishes he could forget he quickly realized that his perfect memory was a double edge sword and at times he truly wished he didn't have it.
His elder sister Lydia was the first to realize that it happened more when he was in an emotional state or surrounded by darkness. She also realized that he refused to sleep unless every light source he could find was active or he would sleep outside under the sun during the day, this wasn't optimal as he was to be trained to take over the family if anything were to happen to Lydia. Still, there wasn't much anyone could think to do to help him as he refused to open up but even if they could that came with a different set of hurdles they had to get over. Hania earlier in his life wouldn't take things from people due to his treatment before being adopted.
It took a while but Lydia finally found a way to help her younger brother, she had a crystal made with light inside and told him to use it when he sleeps. She said it was hers and she just wanted to see if it would help. He was reluctant but she said it only had to be a few days so he accepted. Throughout those few days, he slept somewhat peacefully so it was clear that it helped but not enough, she could only guess that the light wasn't strong enough. She realized this would be fine for a normal child afraid of the dark but it was clear to the pink-haired woman that this wasn't a normal situation.
She personally designed what she believed would help him the most, she chose the materials, their appearance even the opalite that dangles from it. As the bracelet was being made she slowly started to imbue her own element into the glass beads and the opalite as the former was created and the latter was shaped. It took close to a year to complete but Lydia seen it as something that should be done slow and steady, this was to make sure that it was done right the first time and that no matter what it would be near indestructible for whatever he may face in life.
On what is now classed as Hania's eighth birthday after a certain incident happened, she gave him a box, within it laid the bracelet. He was told to keep it with him always as she would be there to keep the darkness at bay and watching over him so he could be at peace while he rested. From that moment he has always kept it with him even if he hasn't always worn it.

It seems to stay for a few seconds before disappearing, the moment it does a gentle and warm light forms around the person in question healing them for junior rank damage. With the use of ammo rules, additional peoples names can be written per trigger. While under the ability of this spell it will actively attempt to cleanse any curses, debuffs, hexes, venoms, toxins or poisons that may afflict the uses as per the clashing rules. Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 cooldown Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Physical Reinforcement ¦ Healing Mana Cost: 8 ¦ 4 Range & Speed: 25m ¦ 10m/s Stats Affected: +2 Speed (wielder only) Description: Runes of light appear up the outside of the user's legs and arms this allowing them to move 2 m/s faster than they could naturally. The runes give off a warmth that is able to heal for junior rank damage, with the use of ammo rules, the wielder need only hold the pendant and speak a person's name to have it be able to heal them. While under the ability of this spell it will actively attempt to cleanse any curses, debuffs, hexes, venoms, toxins or poisons that may afflict the uses as per the clashing rules. As this is only a junior rank spell it can do nothing but close minor wounds.
Type & Uses: NA Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Physical Reinforcement Mana Cost: NA Range & Speed: NA ¦ NA Stats Affected: -- Description: In the beginning, this ability is inactive, it is only with the use and bonding of the item itself a deeper understanding allows the hidden secret left by a sister wanting to protect the younger brother they've treasured for close to thirteen years. This ability will become an imbued speed buff when it ranks to intermediate.
An elegant yet simple longbow made of a slightly flexible yet light steel. The belly of the bow almost looks like it has a wing motif to it, the grip of the bow is made of turquoise allowing for its wielder to hold onto it a bit more easily. The string itself can be mistaken for steel too but it is made from a unique type of horsehair that has been weaved making it more durable. The bow itself is around four meters tall and weighs around four pounds in weight.
The true origins of this bow aren't exactly known, some people have even speculated that it never even existed before the shattering happened. Whether that is true or not no one actually knows as there is no way to prove it one way or the other. Due to this, there have been many rumours circulating about its creation and even the location it came from.
The weapon is said not to even come from the Clover Kingdom but the kingdom of Heart. A young blacksmith fell in love with a young heiress of a high noble family, they met day in and day out in secret, but, as with all good things it came to an end the moment the woman's parents found out. The young man begged and pleaded with the family to allow him to marry the woman that he loved. They told him it would be impossible unless the messengers of the spirits gave a sign.
Defeated he went back to his workshop and wondered how he could achieve such an act. He knew the day of the heiress's betrothal announcement was coming up and he wasn't willing to give her up with a fight. Eventually, he came to the conclusion if they wanted a message from the spirits he would give them just that.
He designed and started to craft a bow like no other, minutes turned to days and days to weeks. He slaved over the one thing he believed would give him what his heart desired the most. It had taken close to two months of non-stop work but he created an elegant bow with an angelic motif to it and headed back to his beloved's family estate.
He presented the bow to the parents and spoke to them:
"Her love for me has restrained my heart to love hers alone. I only want her to know peace and happiness in her life and so I will bear arms so she can have such a life when the need comes."
Inspecting the bow the parents looked at the young man's hands, they noticed the damage done to them. They still weren't convinced at his word, they told him that if what he said was true then he would go to war. The young man left the bow with the family as proof that he would return for her hand...
The young man never returned from his final trial...
Type & Uses: Trigger ¦ 4 uses Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Restraining Mana Cost: 8 per trigger ¦ 15 Recharge Range & Speed: 25m ¦ 10 m/s Stats Affected: 50% spell cap reduction, Strength Debuff Description: When active the wielder pulls back the drawstring creating a white pure aura arrow with a gentle aquamarine glow, when released the arrow seemingly becomes like a living rope entangling around the person and grimoire. Due to this, the person will find they become physically weaker but also feel far too lethargic to cast the amount of the spell that they normally do. Due to tightly bound this spell is able to do half junior rank damage upon the arrow landing a hit. With the use of the ammo rules, additional arrows can be created per trigger. To get rid of the restraint a person has to do at least junior rank damage to it, clashing rules would apply when they do attempt to get rid of the restraint.

When this arrow is released it will move in the general direction of the person that it is being aimed for. Upon the arrow hitting its mark the person will feel no pain, in fact, the arrows aura engulfs them in a warm golden aura healing them for junior rank damage. With the use of the ammo rules, additional arrows can be created per round.
Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 cooldown Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Restraining Mana Cost: 8 ¦ 4 Range & Speed: 25m ¦ 10m/s Stats Affected: 50% spell cap reduction, -2 m/s speed Description: When active the wielder pulls back the drawstring creating a black pure aura arrow with a sanguine glow almost twisted around it. When this arrow is released it will move in the general direction of the person that it is being aimed for. Upon a successful hit, the target will be surrounded by what can be described as several black belt like bindings around their body and grimoire. This decreases the person's speed and makes it harder for them to cast the number of spells they would usually be capable of doing.

Kikka is a town known to be the defensive foot-hold for the Clover Kingdom, it is the town that sits in the grey area of what could be considered the noble region and the common region. It is due to this that there is a diverse range of people and backgrounds that called this place home.
A young fire mage found himself getting into trouble when he decided to steal some vegetables from a garden of jewellers. The mother of the family was the one that caught him and even told the boy and his mother that they just needed to ask due to them having more than enough. It was the beginning of a new bond between the family and the fire mage.
Over time the boy grew and where he was wanting to learn the next flashy fire move from the former purple orca. She would tell him that he needed to learn how to walk before he tried to run or those he cared about would get burned by those same flames that treasured so much. Of course, being young he didn't understand what she was getting at.
The woman's husband attempted to teach the street smart and somewhat rough male his craft. He, of course, got bored real quickly because crafting jewellery was a slow process that often was very detail orientated. Still, the man tried. On the day the fire mage was scheduled to leave Kikka for the exams the man called the young mage into his workshop.
He was just finishing up a double ring set and told him to put every wish and promise he could into a single flame and release it onto the ring. Somewhat sceptical the fire mage did what he was asked and thought it was for some sort of trinket for the woman that had helped him grow. The man placed the ring into a box and handed it to the budding mage.
"Valo, we see you as our son and we are proud to see the man you've grown into. You've helped create something that is unique and special, keep it with you and give it to someone that you believe deserves what you put into it."
The now young man gave bravado with his normal attitude but took the ring. He held onto it for three years until something terrible happened. The family that he had loved so much was taken from him. The one that had seen him at his most vulnerable and had helped him through the grief was a young woman. A woman who themselves couldn't fight due to their beliefs.
He remembered the ring from all those years ago and offered it to her, telling her if she was ever in danger just to call him and he'd come running.

Rank & Element: Junior ¦ Water Class & Type: Relic ¦ Accessory (Necklace) Magic Specializations: Physical Reinforcement ¦ Restraining Appearance & Lore: A leather cord necklace that is used to hold a beautifully crafted glass pendant. The pendant itself seems to look as if it has trapped a whirlpool within it, the glitter inside catches the light creating an almost twinkling effect that could be seen at the top of crystal clear water. At the centre of the chaos however a small white and a small black pearl can be seen.
It's a well-known fact that noble families make alliances and create enemies all the time. This is especially clear when it comes to the Ravencrest and Silva family who haven't seen eye to eye for several generations due to something that was neither side's fault. The issue is both families are proud and neither is willing to say they were the ones that caused the issue.
Over the generations, this mistrust and passive-aggressive hostility has grown between the two powerhouses of the higher nobles. Where some enjoy the dance of flowers and barbs, others just full-on insult and make snide remarks to the other. It turns out the wayward heiress of the Silva family and the Ravencrest's disappointment had a rivalry that went above and beyond what anyone would expect.
They would openly show the bad blood between the two families and insult each other. Not wishing to be outdone the Silva heiress sent a package to the one she had the particular distaste for. Opening the parcel he found a necklace with a note.
The note read:
"Though Ravencrests find themselves in a perpetual state of embarrassment, particularly with your contribution to their numbers, House Silva remains undiscriminating in its generosity. Consider this trinket a token of our charity, that it might ease the worry House Ravencrest might hold for even the lowest of its membership."
This was something that had hit Michail in such a way that he couldn't deny that he needed to become stronger, just so he could slap that smug look off the silvery-blue heiress's face upon their next meeting.
